  1. Hello all,

I filed my wife's AOS package on 03 Sep 10, the case was trasfered to th CSC on 14 Oct 10. It has been over 80 days since we filed and we have not yet received the biometrics appointment. I wonder what is taking the Dallas Service Center so long? I made several phone calls to the USCIS 1800 number, but nothing has been done about it. This is getting pretty rediculous. I keep seeing other cases where the biometris appointments are sent within a month or so. My good frined from washington filed on 3 nov and already received his biometricvs appointment. Does anyone know why Dallas is taking so long? Is there anything i can do? any assistance is appreciated. Thank you :help::help:

  2. I am also a September filer. Got my NOA dated October 4 and case was transferred to Missouri Service Center instead of being processed in Vermont. I still havent received my biometrics schedule. Getting very anxious..

Today Nov 3, i received an email stating that my AP has been approved and mailed. So, i guess the Biometrics are not required for the AP. My EAD was touched today as well, but no email was received. I hope we receive the BIO appointment soon....Good luck to all of us...:innocent: :innocent: :innocent::dance:

  3. Hello All,

It has been two months since i filed my wife's AOS packet and still no sign of the BIO appointment. What is up with the Dallas Service Center. I keep seeing people from other states that filed way after i did and already completed their biometrics. The parking lot at the dallas service center is always empty, so they can't be that F*ken busy. I'm so sick of these incompetent people working at this center. Is anybody here experiencing the same caca from this place........I wish we can do somthing about this center.....so pissed offffffffffffff.. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

  4. just got an email that my EAD is in the mail.. hope to get it in a day or two.. then off to the Social Security office to get me a SSN!!! Woohoo! Time to job hunt!!!

    WOO-HOO X 10,

A BIG-PHAT CONGRATS; your hard work is slowly paying off....

On the previous post, you asked "if i was in the military" My military days "good days" are over. I crossed over to the civilian side; now I'm a DoD civilian contractor. I work along side the military, but not a soldier anymore.....

    OK,

It has been 47 days since the first AOS NOA. I'm hoping we get the BIO letter this week or the next. My wife already applied for and received a SS card. Just waiting for the other stuff (BIO-EAD-AP-GC) I hope she get's the GC before 15 jan 2011, we are planning on a cruise to the Bahamas mid-Jan 11...If she receives the AP, can she travel to the Bahamas and return to the US without any issues? My question is off topic, but i had to ask.....

Anyways my internet time at the local internet cafe is up...Thanks for all your comments and updates...Have a day....Night Night for me...

  5. btw - if you contact your congressman or senator, go to their website and there will be a privacy release form you need to complete. all of the instructions are on their website..

write them a letter, explain your case - i wrote a time line and exhibited the pain i went thru trying to get my bio letter - useless infopass appts, documented service request phone calls including agent #'s, details of the call, etc.. i sent them copies of my 797, etc..

    WOW,

I guess i will skip the congressman option for now; you are right i'm still within the normal timeline--for Dallas that is "slowwwwww". I'm gonna wait a week or two and then i will have my wife go to the DSC--lucky for us, it is on about 6 miles from our house. The only thing is that I work overseas and i will not be able to accompany my wife to the DSC. I'm afraid that the first time the guard at the DSC tells her no, she will turn around and go without a "fight".. on the other hand, i would do anything :bonk::bonk::rofl: to go inside and talk to the site manager or someone with authority. But, i can't really do much from Iraq  ...I have to be patient....I will keep posting with updates...until then..so long from Mosul Iraq.....

By the way, I was in Dallas last month and i drove by the DSC on several occasions, the fken parking lot was always empty, which tells me that they are not very freken busy, so why they take so damm long to set up BIO appointments.....No wonder the Cowboys Suck...LOL :rofl:

  6. I just checked my status again on USCIS and while last week, I received my I-512L Travel Document my status now says "Post Decision Activity".

I guess I really do need that small blue passport book to travel? What does "Post Decision Activity" mean?

A bit confused by all of this... have any of you out there experienced this? A&B what did you receive for a travel document?

    Hey BULLWINKLE,

I see you went through hell trying to get your BIO appointment. I filed my wife's AOS packet on Sept. 2, and we are still waiting for the BIO appointment. The local service center we fall under is the Dallas service center--same as you. Our case has been transfered to the CSC, but we are still waiting for the BIO appointmet :angry::angry: ...I have been following your posts and i gotta give it you buddy--you put up with a lot of bull...I see you had to use your Congressman, I think i will also go that route. Do you have the congressman information?? and do you mind sharing some information on how to approach the congressman about immigration issuies??--Im lost/// I have never contacted my congressman...Please help..... :help::help::help:

  7. Hello all,

On 7 Oct 10 I received a Text and an Email saying that my case (I485) was transfered to the CSC for processing.

On 14 Oct 10, I received a second text/email saying that my case (I485) "was transfered and is now being processed at a USCIS office"

I'm not sure what is going to happen next, I have not received my Biometrics appointment letter. I hope it comes soon. It is my uderstanding that most cases transfered to CSC don't undergo interviews, it is also my understanding that cases transfered to CSC do not move forward until the BIO are completed. Please feel free to share your experiences...

NOTE: Dallas CSC Biometrics appointments are so slow to come; the funny thing is, i usually drive by there and i always see their parking lot EMPTY...who knows..... :help:

  8. Ou all this is tnx to you, i just followed your advice. You were right, people here are open and they all want to help in any way they can so i am very thankful to everyone :) Once my fiancé and i start gathering the documents that we need for the K1 process we will have many more questions, but we will cross that bridge when we get there ;) Step by step! The first question we had and which honestly really scared us seems to be answered in our favor. Its a nice start.

I am so happy to hear that your case is going forward. Say hi to your wife from the homeland ;) Wish you all the luck guys!

    Thank you

She reads most of the comments and questions i post here in the VJ. Thanks to all of these wonderful people and threir assistance, our case is moving forward. Good luck to you....My wife is from Kumanovo by the way....I was over there last April...COLD>>>>>COLD>>>:dance::dance:

  9. Thank you so much for the thread!!!

Till now i was reading everything that people wrote there and i saw that they all have more or less similar experiences. Some are more alike then others, but the bottom line is the same, you have to try and hope that everything goes well. I just really dont want to be denied at the entry, that would be a killer ...

    tnx for the support :)

    Remember me?????LOL

I see you opened a new thread (wellll not so new) but anyways...I see you are getting tons of information. You came to the right place, the people here are full of good info....I guess i was right, you can still visit your Fiance with your tourist visa until you receive the K1 visa...I'm sure the Consular Officer (CO) of the Imigration Office (IO)will cancel your tourisst visa once you start using your k1 visa...good luck.....by the way my wife's case took another step forward today...yessssssssssssss.....:dance::dance::dance:

  10. My wife still waiting for the Biometrics letter, however, she received an email from USCIS stating the following "On October 7, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining the action".:dance: ..sounds like good news...I just hope the biometrics letter comes soon....Good luck to :thumbs: all...

  11. I'm sorry you (we) "Dallas Filers" have to wait this long. I filed my wife's AOS the first part of Sep and I'm already getting impatience waiting for the BIO appointment letter. I keep hearing that the Dallas Center is backed up, but that doesn't make me feel any better. I hope you get yours soon, you have been waiting forever. People keep saying that the process takes about four months, I bet you they received their appointments within a reasonable amount of time. Anyways bro, i wish you luck and hopefully the Dallas Center personnel start pushing cases faster. I will wait a couple more weeks, and if I don't hear anything, I will start making some phone calls. I'm DOD employee working in Iraq and i know some people that might be able to help me. I don't wanna go around the system, but if the system has a weak link, i might have to step over the weak link.....Later ........

  12. Has anyone else found that their k-1 visa has been touched since submitting the AOS papers?

I got a touch on my EAD/AOS/AP on the 17th (Friday) and then on the 19th (Sunday) my k-1 was touched.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

My K-1 was also touched on the 19th. I have no idea what is going on.... Has any of the you early september filers have recived emails about the Biometrics appointment??? I have not....

  13. I keep reading all these stories about nurces trying to make people go through the entire medical exam when their DS-3025 still valid. I'm trying to avoid this headache, so I'm going to ask if anyone outhere knows of a civil surgeon in the Dallas TX area that knows and follows the rules and will not try to make my fiance do the entire medical exam again. Thanks in advance,

  15. My fiance received the interview packet last week, inside the packet were forms DS156, DS156K, DS157 and DS230 Part1 in Englisg and in her native language (Macedonian). Will we need to have both versions(English and Macedonian) filled out or just the English version? We already filled out the English online versions. I wonder if this is normal practice for some or all US Embassies?

  16. Hello Everyone,

My fiance's interview date is just around the corner. We have gather most of our

documents (just waiting on the medical exam)and happy the date is coming soon.

One quick question i would like to ask the experts:

First, is there a thread on this site showining exmples of how to properly assemble the interview documents before they are handed over to the Consulate Officer.

Some forms and documents have more the one page, should i use staples, should i use paper clips, should i used a binder, or should i use a folder with fasteners?

    Thanks in advance,
