I think when the ds230 is accepted you will have SIF & soon after CC. In my opinion we will have SIF in 2 weeks!! Interview date will most likely be Feb, although there's some chance for January too. I want so much Jan, but dond know when they will assign interview date!! :(

Oh yes, SIF in two weeks will be nice. And my guess is February for interview too.. or maybe March? Let's hope for February.

I would like January, but dont think I'm so lucky to get it. In order to get that i should SIF soon... You will definitely have Feb interview if the review at NVC is good & there are no delays. Interview date depends alot on the consulate & how busy it is.

  2. Yes, Nicaragua will always be there for you. No worries.. and be careful driving up there especially when the ice comes!

  3. Hello how are you doing? Thank-you for the information. We are making our plans for my visit now. In three weeks I will have my love in my arms once again.

  4. I hope you found your sponsors and are able to continue along. Best of luck

  5. I-864 accepted but NVC says they are waiting for DS230 to show up as entered into their system. They said this could take up to 20 working days and it's been 5 so far. More patience, more prayers.

Two weeks and they still haven't entered it in their system.. ugh!

  6. Why does two weeks feel like a lifetime?

it does feel like a lifetime.

  7. Hey how are you doing? Hope you enjoyed Navy Pier the other day. We will be spending the night in Managua next month. Can you recommend a hotel we can stay in that is clean and safe but not too expensive? We'll have a rental car and will be driving around to get the birth certificate. The next morning we need to go to the airport. Thanks for any suggestions.

  8. Just curious, did you notice while you were waiting at POE Houston whether any of the people got turned back?

  9. Sent the DS230 overnight delivery to NVC!

Just found the I864 AOS was entered into the system and under review. It was sent a little over two weeks ago. They also said they are finished scheduling all December interviews.

Confirmed NVC receipt of the DS230 today. Maybe two weeks for them to enter it in and another four or so for review and case complete?

  10. I also like writing poetry and working with computers. Lol

  11. Yes from the city, south chicago. New Orleans is hot and humid like Nicaragua. I will be there next month and finally get to see my husband since early June. Chicago has wonderful museums and you should be sure to see them! The planetarium, the aquarium, the museum of natural history and the museum of science and industry.

  12. You must be very cold in Chicago. That is where I am from and I was freezing almost always!

  13. I know you are very busy! When you have time maybe you can let me know about the Birth Certificate you sent with the DS230. Was the Registro del Estado Civil, Republica de Nicaragua stamp on it in BLUE ink? My marriage license has blue ink but the copy of my husbands Certificado de Nacimiento is a copy with black ink. I'm not sure if it's authentic or original enough.

  14. Thanks for the consulate review in your timeline. It is very helpful and reassuring in preparation of what is to come for us. Best of luck!

  15. Called NVC on Thursday for clarification that ORIGINAL documents need to be sent with DS230 AND two passport photos. Arghh. Didn't realize that and now waiting for them in the mail from Nicaragua. Good thing I realized this before I sent it. More patience.....

Here is the message I got from the Consultate regarding the birth certificate: "We only accept original copies issued by the Central Registry in Managua regardless of where the person was born or were they were married. The Registro Central de Managua is located 300 meters towards the lake from the Ministerio de Gobernacion building in Managua."

I'll be in Managua next month and will have a rental car so we can take the original stamped birth certificate he got from his town where he was born and take it to the Central Registry in Managua and get the authenticated copy. We have to bring the two documents with us to the interview. The NVC said they would accept the copy from the town where he was born. I hope this works out okay. I'm so sad for this long wait.

I'm glad you got a response from them, that way you can get the copies from the Central Registry. I just think it's unorganized how the NVC accepts it and the Consulate doesn't! Because we had no problems with the NVC.

  16. Just realized the the coversheet was the thing I was waiting for to send the I-864 form so I sent it today. Also paid IV bill today. Ahhhh, moving along.

  17. NVC AR says they received my AOS payment and will send out further instruction. No word yet that the DS3032 mailed on the 14th has been accepted. Still waiting for that and IV bill. Maybe a couple more days.

  18. What does it mean if the AOS bill is invoiced but not the IV bill together? I emailed my DS3032 on Oct 14 and got an automated email back.

I receive firts the AOS bill, when it was PAID in NVC Page two or three days after, they sent the IV fee and DS3032 acceptation.

Yeah I am pretty sure they don't usually come at the same time. You are on the right track. Good luck!

  19. Sent the DS3032 in an email to NVC today. How do I find out what the IIN number is so I can pay the AOS online? Just wait for the email instructions?

  20. Called NVC and they gave me my case # and took both of our emails. Said we would each be receiving an email in 4-6 weeks.

      claro

Oh the operator also said that I can use email for correspondence but all forms would have to be sent regular postal mail.

  21. NVC yesterday said they have my I-130 in the building but someone needs to type it into their system. They told me to call back in two weeks and they will take my email.

No case number yet either. They said to call back in two weeks to get it but I'm calling every day.

  22. Received my NOA2 in the mail. Calling everyday to get NVC case number but the line is ALWAYS busy!!

    1. claro

Does everyones NOA2 say the same thing? Mine said "The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning concerning further immigrant visa processing steps." It also said "please allow at least 90 days before alling the NVC if your beneficiary has not received correspondence from the NVC". Is that what the letter tells everyone?
