AP is advanced parol, so that if you have an emergency you can leave the country without worrying about not having your green card yet.

If you are sending AOS with EAD and AP you need 6 passport photos total, 2 for each application.

Does the AP cost extra?

Finally starting my AOS...just a few questions. How many photos do I need in total? Also I got my I693 form filled about my CS but just the vaccination part. Is that ok? What does AP mean?

I got approved for my k1! I just booked my flight today out of SEATAC airport and will be having my POE out of Blaine Washington.

I was thinking to get my cousin to drop me to seatac or taking a airport shuttle to seatac?

How long does the processing for the K1 visa take? The shuttle can wait only 40mins max for all the passengers. Any suggestions???

I just was wondering, does everyone that has their POE in JFK get the EAD stamp? Does that mean they can start working asap and wait for the GC once the AOS is filed???

I believe the standard processing time for EAD is 90 days, but some people get it earlier (as early as 60 days I've heard) and some get it later, even after the green card itself.

You have the option to expedite if you have sufficient reason.

GC process is anywhere from 3 -6 months

Did you read all of the NOA2 and make sure it says approved and that the notice is not for something else? If it was an RFE, they still should have moved the status indicator on the web site.

Yes it says its approved. No RFE

Since you have the hard-copy of the NOA2, I do not think it is a big issue but I do recall another user having the same issue. If my memory serves me right, the user called USCIS and requested the website be updated which USCIS promptly did.

So my fiance got the NOA 2 last week. I'm now getting prepared for the next step. So i need to include everything in the k1 visa guide and is there anything else that I need to include???

Do i need to get him to send me his tax info the last 5 years?? or anything else ? Also where do I get my vaccination records?

Its been 55 days since we got out NOA1. Waiting for the NOA 2, is it normal for it to take sooooo long?

My interview is gonna be at Vancouver office cause thats where I live. I know things are supposed to move a little faster if the interview is in Vancouver....

Any input or advice????

So is the EAD more money? I know when I file my AOS its gonna be $1010.00 . Is that including the cost of EAD and AP???

My concerned about being unemployed while waiting for my AOS...

How long am I expected to be waiting for this to go through???

I know from everyones responses the the EAD takes just amount the same time as the GC.

Any advice? Anyone in my situation?? I'm still in the early stages of my K1 process and working full time in Canada.

Also is the SSN just like Social Insurance Number in Canada but you can't be employed with it?????
