  1. You don't need an attorney's permission to call the USCIS.....

In any case, I did what worked for me and you did what worked for you :)

Perhaps calling them so many times like I did, did make me look bad. Maybe you are right. Did I care? No. Because why would I care what some stranger on the other end of the phone thinks about me? I am still going to wake up, eat, go to work and go to sleep each day regardless of how they feel about me. In the end, my persistence got me what I wanted from them...the NOA2 :)

  2. You should not be calling them over and over that does not help. And then people wonder where their NOA2 are ? Its because the VSC is flooded with calls from people like you and does have time to be doing what they suppose to be doing--- > approving petitions.

So hang in there and give it time.

Calling them over and over worked for me. If they really work efficiently, I would not have to call them. If you have a problem with that, then too bad cause for me, it worked :)

  3. You keep calling them over and over and over. I posted this same thing in another thread. Contact your Senator/Representative. Call/write them every single day. Keep yelling and screaming until somebody hears you and helps you. This is exactly what I did to prevent myself from having to wait 5+ months for my NOA2. Don't be afraid to make noise.

  4. Around 2 months after I got my NOA1, I started to hear some rumors from friends about the TPS becoming an issue. So I was like heeeeeeeeeeeeel no, I am not going to wait 5+ months to get the NOA2 lol! So I got everybody and I mean EVERYBODY involved and bitched over and over and over and over to the USCIS. I mean, I bitched REAL hard every single day. Guess what happened next? 2 weeks later the NOA2 shows up in my mailbox :))

  5. Thanks for your support everybody. I will do my best to get the Pink. Please keep me and my fiance in your prayers. I hope to have a nice Pink slip for a Christmas present. Thanks guys!!!

  6. Hey guys,

I have been away for a long time. I am becoming a nervous wreck. My fiance is doing okay, but I am so nervous that I am having difficulty sleeping the last few days. Our interview is about 4 weeks away and I don't know how to calm myself down. I don't know how to balance preparing my fiance for the interview and just relaxing. I worry that if I relax and do Yoga classes for example, that I will be missing out on our last opportunity to prepare for the interview. However, I also worry that if we prepare too much that I will burn out my fiance. How did you guys deal with the stress/nervousness just 4 weeks before your fiance interview? I said I wouldn't get nervous, but I did anyways :(

  7. Sofiyya,

So you still refusing to admit ANYTHING wrong with Islam? I guess we can all accept the Christian criticizing oh they are pedophiles this and pedophiles that. Obviously from you it appears that Islam is above all the criticism. I guess the REAL ignorance has just shown itself.....

    Jen,

I blame terrorists, I blame the media, and I blame you

Don't blame him. Blame the attackers who made this about religion when they scream "God is Great"

Like I said before, when they attack with religions intent, expect the criticism to be with religious intent

  8. Nonsense.

Before I begin, let me be real clear about one thing. I've got beef with Christianity and other religions as well, not just Islam. I question EVERYTHING and refuse to just accept things because they are the way they are or because they are religions. I will criticize when I feel criticizing needs to be done.

Critics have every right to criticize, NOT INSULT, but criticize Islam after 9/11. As soon as the words "Allhu Akbar" came out of the hijackers mouths, it became religiously motivated. Anybody that denies this, needs a brain transplant. If Christians or Jews had committed 9/11, I would be saying the SAME thing towards them.

Call me ignorant if you want. But what I find really ignorant is when people try to use examples of other violent activities to wash their hands clean and say "Oh but other people also commit violent terrorist crimes so why is this so bad?" Let me tell you something, where there are over 1.5 billion Muslims in the world, most of which are in the Middle East, that DON'T respect Americans, that DON'T respect our freedoms, that DON'T respect our ways of live and a lot of them resorting to "religious fanaticism" to commit terrorist acts, you have got one hell of a problem and that "Oh but other people also commit violent terrorist crimes so why is this so bad?" excuse ain't gonna cut it.....

If they make their terrorist acts religiously motivated, please do EXPECT the criticism also to be religiously motivated.....

  9. Sofiyya,

I want to quote a part of an earlier post from you:

"Terrorism is a grab for power, not a spiritual experience"

Come on, you should know better then that :)

For the terrorists, it IS a spiritual experience. What do you think the 9/11 terrorists were expecting before they crashed the airplanes? They were expecting to go to heaven surrounded by virgins. How often do you hear terrorists scream "Allahu Akbar!" (God is Great) on their OWN videos when they behead their captives or commit other terrorist acts? They don't do this ####### for you or me. They do it for the mighty Allah!

  10. Sofiyya,

You have got to be kidding me. If Islam is not the problem, why is it Muslims flying planes into towers? Why is it Muslims strapping bombs on themselves to become suicide bombers? Why is it Muslims that stone their women to death for stupid #######? Why is it Muslims sitting in a tent preaching B.S to little children about "Death to America"? Why don't Christians or Jews or hell, why don't Buddhists do any of these things?????

There is SOMETHING wrong with Islam Sofiyya. I am not attacking Islam, but there IS something seriously wrong with it. I am sick of hearing the "It's America's fault" excuse from so many Muslims. That excuse has been worn out much more then Pamela Anderson's vag.....

Most of the countries around the world have been able to advance their technology and their societies. Hell, we even landed a man on the moon! What exactly have the Muslims in the Middle East done that is so productive? Oh I know the answers: Chanting "Death to America", training children how to become suicide bombers and hold the rest of the world hostage with oil. Hell, a stupid Danish cartoon, yes CARTOON, about Islam caused massive violent protests in the Middle East. Good job.....

  11. I don't think its a good idea to burn the Koran. It's a really really bad idea.

But seriously, there are a lot of Muslims in the Middle East burning American flags on a consistent basis. How come that doesn't get the amount of attention that this Koran burning story is getting?? Just sayin.....

  12. I am a bit confused what you are really asking for. If you are asking about proving US Citizenship and you want to use your US Passport, then you must submit a copy of every single page of the passport.

Now, if you are asking about submitting copies of passport stamps to show proof of meeting your fiance in the last 2 years, then you can just submit a copy of your bio page and a copy of the stamp in the passport.

  13. I have a tiny concern. Okay so basically I remember there was a discussion a few months ago about a particular statement in the I-129F instructions about how to satisfy the "Mutual Intent" between the petitioner and beneficiary. I think it goes like this:

"Provide original statements from you and your fiancé(e) whom you plan to marry within 90 days of his or her admission, and copies of any evidence you wish to submit to establish your mutual intent"

I remember the discussion being about the last part where it says any evidence you "wish" to submit to establish your mutual intent. Basically I included some emails, chat logs and phone bills with my I-129F for this part because I felt that proving a bonafide relationship with the beneficiary shows your so called "mutual intent" and since I "wish" to submit it, like the instructions say I can do, it should satisfy. Now obviously it is worth noting that I did put a Letter of Intent for myself and my fiance with the petition. I didn't put this stuff to address any red flags or anything. I am just exercising my "wish" to submit documents to show there is mutual intent.

My question is, would the Consulate have a problem with this at the interview? I know this is water under the bridge now, but would it have been better if I had just included a detailed written explanation of our relationship instead of the emails and chat logs?

  14. Since the USCIS no longer processes I-129F petitions from the Service Centers, how should we handle the Cover Letters and Letters of Intent? In other words, when I filed, I wrote the address of the Vermont Service Center on each letter with my petition in order to address it to them directly. Now the I-129F's will be done at the Dallas Lockbox. Does that mean that the cover letter and letter of intent now need to be written specifically to the Dallas Lockbox?

  15. New Chief Consular Officer? Oh ####### just my luck. What could this mean? Could this new Chief find a way to stop issuing Pink slips all together? Sounds like the road to the Pink got even tougher from what I am reading here. Great.....

  16. The best thing you can do at this point is to gather all the documents that are being requested on the Blue Slip. Submit those documents to the HCMC Consulate on the date requested on the slip. I see that they asked your fiance about your residential address. Somebody mentioned a while back that this "may" be a new tactic that the Consulate is using to issue Blue Slips. In any case, address everything that they ask for on the Blue Slip and wait and see what their response will be at that time.

What baffles me about that is, why would the Consulate request the residential address for the petitioner on the blue sheet? That information was already provided on the I-129F AND the G-325A! It makes no sense to me. Maybe just maybe it was because the OP's fiance answered part of the address question incorrectly. But in any case it looks stupid for the Consulate to ask that on the blue unless they are finding something in the background check that contradicts information provided in the petition and/or interview. Tommy, did you check your LexisNexis report?

  17. Maybe the USCIS lost the pictures after all. Oh well. I will just re-print them and submit it again. Thanks for the help guys!

  18. Hey guys,

I got an RFE for my I-129F. It is because of the way I included evidence of pictures in the petition. You see, I kept all of the original pictures. I used my office printer to make color photo copies of the pictures front and back because I wrote our names and locations on the back of the pictures. Now I got an RFE asking to submit pictures of me and my fiance together. Has anybody ever had this happen before? I was under the impression that it is ok to submit "copies" of all your evidence which should include pictures. Did I make a mistake by submitting copies instead of original pictures???

  19. Scammers dont really care if they enter and stay in the US legally or illegally. Their primary objective is to get into the US. The fact that we have over 20 million illegal Mexican's in the US is proof of that. So even if you raise the lenght of conditional permanent residence to 7 or 8 years, they will still come to the US on their K1 or CR1 visas and then leave the next day. But I do see how it can help reduce the number of fraudsters though. Finger is right. As long as there is poverty around the world, there will always be fraudsters. Unless world hunger comes to an end tomorrow, I can understand the need to make it more difficult to get a visa which is what the HCMC Consulate is doing.
