Joey and I aren't on that IGOR's list....should I panic?
edit: nvm, I think I forgot to work the timeline thingy in.
-
Ilana, a mod should come by soon and clear that up for you. No worries. On Joey's divorce decree there is an official seal with the appropriate signatures. Perhaps the signatures of the proceeding judge will be effective enough if there is no seal or stamp on his.
I read one of our posts where someone said that according to IGOR's list there are 51 petitions from VSC for Feb? What exactly is IGOR's list, what does it tell/do for us and where can I find said list? I'm curious >.<

Ohhh you're a West Coast filer!!! Tisk tisk! Hehehe just kidding!!! I don't think there's really that many February filers to begin with. So here on the East or http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=240403 on the West. Doesn't matter But best of luck to you and yours anyway!!!!

Does anyone REALLY want to know what grade of meat taco bell uses?
ew....no!!
-
toxic hell (taco bell) and dead chicken in a box (kfc) aren't exactly all that appealing to me.
i mean, taco bell's meat looks like cat food rolled into a flat bread and kfc's chicken is laced with heavy grease.
if you like tearing up the bathroom within minutes, by all means. i'd personally rather not. lol

awesome! thanks for posting that. i've a fear of needles, so not looking forward to the bloodwork thingy. but everything else seems relatively simple. i'm definitely more at ease now. thanks!!
-
haha, that has been my experience for as long as i can remember. and while i was visiting Joey, if we ate out someplace, it was always with a side of fries, rice or taters. carbs, go figure

sure doesn't seem like there is many of us for Feb 2010....always gotta find our thread 2-3 pages after. hehe.
hope everyone is coping best they can. i know Joey and I are struggling emotionally and can't wait to see eachother in a few more weeks.
it's great that our parents are so supportive and keep telling us to hang in there.
big hugs to all of ya and lets keep positive!!! *HUGGLES*

Hey grats!! We're right with you. Ours was received just today. BEST OF LUCK!!!!

That's such a beautiful story! I guess love prevails after all. I guess its better too late than never to be with the love of your life! I wish you all the best in a speedy visa process, you've waiting long enough as it is!!
Very true, however Joey is definitely worth the wait. And thank you so much for the well wishes!

This is pretty random but I was just reading your timeline and I find it so cute you were reunited after all those years apart! All the best to you both!!
Thank you very much!! We joke about it being a romance novel with our friends and family. He'd asked me to marry him back in 1994 but we were just teenagers, so I thought it best for us both if I said no. Boy were WE wrong. We'd been miserable people for the past 15yrs without one another. He joined the US Army and got married after 5yrs of hoping I'd reconsider. I went to College and moved all over the place, failed relationship after another. All the while, our families kept in touch and we'd exchange random emails. Then, just after US Thanksgiving last year, he called me. Out of the blue. $2500 is phone bills later, I went down for a visit. Reunited with his parents, spent much needed time catching up, etc. And here we are, doing what we should have done as kids. It's heart-wrenching to be apart from him, I can't wait for my next visit!!

trailmix, I do apologize for making you do that leg work. Total blonde move on my part for not looking at the left side nav panel. I had merely only read the immunization record without thinking to look through the nav links. Very sorry about that. I certainly appreciate the information provided. Thank you again.
-
Thanks Peachey. So, the results aren't given to you the same day?
-
Would the amount of the medical exam be dictated in packet 3? Or is there a website that indicates the cost? I tried looking at the link provided above for a cost, but I was unable to see one.
-
Ah, ok. Point taken.
Well, I made an appt to see my family doctor this Thursday. It's not to take the immunizations per se, but to sit down with him and discuss what is happening and what he can help me with as far as preparing for the medical. Surely he might have some insight.
-
Ok, so I'm a wee bit confused about the immunizations.
From what I read I need another Tetanus/Booster shot 4 wks prior to my medical? So the one we all had as kids, or after an accident to subdue any possible infections doesn't stand?
I get the one for the mumps or measles. Most of us had those shots as kids.
Chickenpox? Do we really need a shot if we've already had the chickenpox??
Hep B, Influenza and Mengingococcal didn't specify that a 32yr old would need them. So I guess I'm only really concerned about the Tetanus, Measles and Chickenpox.
And Spoom, aye, pretty sure Peel will do that for me. I have friends that have required it for work related purposes and they've gotten the same thing. $40 in and out, same day.
-
I have never been married (he has and his divorce decree was sent with our I-129F packet), nor do either of us have a criminal record.
I do not have an updated immunizations record, I thought I can get that during my medical DS-3025 form?? If not, might you know of a link that provides a list and I will run out and get those taken care of.
Thanks for the information. I'll stop by Peel Regional Police and have them print my CPIC thingy and I'll print out the long form birth certificate tonight and mail that off.

Quick question, would anyone know what forms I should begin to gather while we're waiting for the NOA's to bounce around? From what I've read so far (here and there) I'll need to have my police check (what type specifically?) and an extended birth certificate (not the typical wallet sized one). Any others I should be prepared to gather?
Thanks in advance!!

Heyas! Joey (American) and I (Canadian) are also February filers!
Good luck to everyone. We're super anxious ourselves

A question
in Canada
According to google maps from Swift Current to Vancouver it's 15hrs 40 some minutes.
So we'd have to drive up Tuesday, do Medical Wednesday and hope for Interview on Thursday and then come back Friday.
Here's hoping my employer gives me those days off.

Hmm, well, definitely something for discussion. I should map out the drive to see how long it'd take.
Edit: 15hr drive to Van from here, as opposed to 8hr drive to Mtl. However, the extra wait time does outweigh the drive length immensely.

I'm almost thinking it'd be easier if I just moved back to Ontario and do it out of Montreal. I'll have to talk to my Soldier boy >.<
