  1. Hi everyone! just catching up on reading the posts. Sachinky, I can't believe that your case is still incomplete and I have not filed my 2009 taxes as yet because of fear. Jujuswife, I am still waiting on stuff from my spouse but we decided to do the medical next week.I emailed the local consulate and they sent me the medical forms which I promptly forwarded to my wife. Scott, I love how things are moving well for you.

  2. I'm going to call tomorrow to the american consul cause i was talk that the petitioner was not necessary.... now i'm confussed :crying:

I don't think it's necessary in any country for the petitioner to be there. Remember, it's not the petitioner who is applying for the immigrant visa, it's the beneficiary. For an embassy to expect a person who is domiciled in the USA to leave their work and daily routine just to attend an interview for another person is ridiculous. I'm only going because I want to, not because I have to.

  3. I woke up and first thing I did was sign in!!! Arghhhhh!!!

I feel so hopeless and discouraged!!! I don't understand why we are so unfortunate with NVC.

We are here since February for God's sake!!!

I'm starting to think that it's more likely to get an RFE than a LIF next week for me.

    :crying: :crying: :crying:

Whatever is on your tax return, the exact number.

oh ok, thanks I am heading to fedex right now but I take a lot of deductions like charitable expenses, property taxes, and rental property expenses. These deductions decreases my taxable income but the gross income is the amount I actually made.

  4. yeah now i am worried that i NEED an employment letter, but that could take a few extra days etc.... found this though.

so there is a chance they will request those things! eeeep!!

@ jaxson: hmmm intersting....should i try to send the ds230 copies with this Aos...???

    "What income documentation is required?

With their Form I-864, the sponsor is required to submit an IRS transcript or photocopy of only the most recent Federal income tax return. However, the sponsor may, at his or her option, submit Federal income tax returns for the three most recent years if the sponsor believes these additional tax returns may help establish the sponsor's ability to maintain his or her household income at the applicable threshold set forth in the poverty guidelines. The consular officer will determine whether the income stated by the sponsor and documented in the tax return and any other evidence meets the poverty guidelines in effect as of the time of the I-864 was filed with the National Visa Center, the U.S. embassy or consulate. If the income stated by the sponsor does not meet the poverty guidelines then the consular officer may request the sponsor may submit current year income information for additional evidence to reach a determination. If the sponsor is relying on income from any household member or dependents to reach the minimum income requirement, an IRS-issued transcript or a copy of each individual's most recent tax return is also required, and each person must complete a Form I-864A, Contract Between Sponsor and Household member. The consular officer may ask for additional income documentation, such as employment letter. "

Have they generated a bill for the IV? They did not email me notification, I just kept checking on the AOS and I saw that the IV invoice was there. I would send it only if you paid both but your timeline doesn't show that you paid the IV bill. I really wonder why they keep RFEing people, as a precaution I would send everything I can. For me, I am just sending my tax transcripts and w2s and an employment letter...I get paid weekly, I can't be bothered to print out 26 weeks worth of paystubs.

  5. Hi VJ'ers,

I just got off the phone with a very nice operator. My AOS has finally showed paid and I wanted to make sure that what I had is sufficient and she said yes. Only w2's and tax transcripts plus cover sheet. Then she asked me why I wasn't sending in the DS-230 as well? I told her because it doesn't show paid but she said I could use the same cover sheet for the AOS. I've never heard that before, anyhow I am still waiting for the police certificate from my wife.

  6. I WILL TAKE THE FIRST OPTION IS A DEAD HUMAN..

I MAKE A FULL COLOR COPY OF THE PASSPORT NOT BLACK AND WHITE..COLORRRRRRR COPY.....IT DOES NOT MATTER ANYMORE.. I AM WRITING THE STATEMENT..WITH COPIES OF EVERYTHING. VISA.STAMPS. FIRST PAGE OF MY OLD PASSPORT.ETC. MY HUSBAND WILL SEND IT ON THIS SATURDAY OR MONDAY..

Good luck! I hate how they are holding things up for you, to me it's not necessary. I think I need to stay away from this place for a little bit. I do find myself so emotionally attached to you guys. Right now I am waiting for my payment status to show paid so I could send the stupid AOS and IV documents.

  7. Damn, folks. My broadband was down for 12 hours, driving me insane.

Firstly, I'm so so sorry about your RFE, Estrella. I hope you're able to get it out soon.

Tharnsur--So we're not quite sure if it's an RFE or not, yet?

    Same with SJ?

I can still sign in. Grrr. My AVR has not been updated since February 24. It still says they mailed out the RFE which worries me. However, our AOS package too was never inputted and we got the RFE straight up. I was told by the operator it was in the system the day before the RFE. Another operator told my husband that they had infact received our RFE and it was being processed since Friday. I don't know what is taking them so long! Add the amounts and see that it corresponds to the assets listed on the form! That's it and then complete our case for the love of God!

GAH. I was hoping to log into VJ and see wonderful news. But I guess it was not to be. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you. I think we can all relax a bit now, doesn't matter if we get our SIF today or tomorrow. We're not making this round of scheduling. Breaks my heart, it does. But what are we gonna do about it?

Let's hope Thursday brings us some comfort.

there you are! you know if we don't read your posts for 8hrs or more, we panic. I have a feeling you'll fail log in by tomorrow.
