  1. If NVC hold message were accurate:

"Your call is NOT very important to us - we've answered the same question 1000 times already today", "Thank you for calling! Our staff is randomly taking calls between cups of coffee and discussions of who their favorite American Idol is." "When we return to the line, please just give us the case number, Petitioner/Beneficiary name and date of birth, and accept the answer, 'Call back in 2 weeks'" "Please hang up, we're tired and cranky. If you choose to remain on the line, an operator will assist you...unless they don't." "We don't care that your time is valuable, thank you for holding, frustration is just a moment away"

    lol!! you nailed it.

btw guys, April started on thursday, a week is 7 days, there is no way that they would consider this week the 2nd week of April.

  2. Okay, well I'll do my little "SIF's all around" voodoo dance before bed tonight...

Seriously, something in this process has just got to go our way for once!

Hobokenworkingman also has our same documents received date. I know it's not likely, but I've nearly worn out the computer mouse for all of the refreshes I did on that NVC website today.

based on your timeline, either tonight or tomorrow you should SIF. I know what you are going through.I couldn't stop checking the site. Funny thing is that on the day of the approval, I checked every hour like twice per hour. I decided to go out to dinner with my mother and was not even thinking about it then after dinner I checked and SIF! So step away a bit and see what happens.

  3. Alicia, one of the Thai girls was going for K3/K4 and had to switch, too. Not the case for you, but still similar.

    Here's her steps:

    1. Send in I-130 and G-325A for the son.

    2. Follow usual USCIS waiting and online case status checks.

    3. Get NOA2.

    4. Get case number from NVC.

    5. Follow all the usual NVC #######.

    6. Get an interview for the son. Have Dad attend, too. You, too, if they let USCs attend interviews. Mom will have to sign some paper saying she's allowing the son to permanently leave the country to reside in the US with his father. Or Dad has to show legal proof of sole custody. Even then, Mom may be required to sign papers. These papers are submitted with the DS-230 and again at the interview.

    7. Family is reunited to live together happily ever after.

    The End.

I'll call her in the morning and see what else I'm missing. Good news: USCIS approvals are taking about 2 months now. Plus 2-3 to get through NVC. Visa in 5 months. He may be able to come here at the same time as Dad, provided Dad's CR-1 hasn't expired yet. Yay!

and Alicia, if the mom is ok with it, you can have your husband come up and then he could fly back down to JA later on when his son needs to go to the embassy. I heard that a whole bunch of ####### is going on at the embassy in Kingston but it should not affect immigrant visas. The problem is as tiny as Jamaica is, they process thousands of cases per year. I'm not sure if you heard, but they even opened up a second embassy in Montego Bay.

  4. I think the NVC operators make stuff up as well. I called today just to bug them and to ask them what should I expect from now on and when will they forward my package to the embassy before or after they schedule an interview. The woman told me that they can forward before if it's a consulate that is not backlogged. She said she can almost guarantee that we will get a May interview date. Now, sounds like bull, maybe she wanted to make me feel good.

  5. Probably too early. You just got a case complete yesterday...normally it takes a couple of days after that for them to send it.

very logical answer but a guy can hope for miracles right?

DIOS MIOOOOOOOOO GUYS PLEASE STOP THE CHASING OF THE PACKAGE GAME .. YOU SICK PEOPLE....GRHHHHHH

we are sick, we need help..

That's what I figured too :) I dont' see a lot of cases going to Erevan, Armenia since it's a 3 Million people country.... And with me getting CC on 3rd, seems that it would be mine, I am just trying to keep myself occupied :)

it's yours! i mean, I hope it's yours.... :help: :help:

  6. so I was thinking that based on the recent case completions I should expect a SIF any minute now.

    WELL...............

ADD ME TO THE LIST!!!!! I am soooooooo happy. You guys are so supportive, and now it's my turn. What a wonderful feeling

  7. Good morning, everyone.

Tatyana, I'm soooo happy for you!! You made it for May!!! So in the end, did Husby take it better? Silly boys and their silly boy reactions. Hehehehe.

Jaxson, you're next! Are you ready?

Tharnsur and BB, I'm glad it was your package they sent yesterday. Have you guys organized your evidence and all? Any New Year celebrations? Family get togethers? Husby wants to put me on webcam and introduce me to the family I didn't get to meet yet. I haven't given him an answer yet. I hope the new year brings you joy and prosperity!

I am ready and eager. I don't know when they update the website so I keep checking every hour on the hour. It's been 13 days but 9 business days since my package was delivered so I am hoping for no RFE's and a SIF any day now.

Husby's giant gift arrived last night. A TON of yarn and other crochet goodies. 15 lbs of it! Yay!

  8. Today marks 5 months since I sent my I-130. :crying: I called USCIS today and was told that California Service Center is currently working on petitions from October 16, 2009. That I should call back in 30 days. I was thinking of making an INFO Pass for tomorrow, what you do guys think?

you know that they are not telling the truth. Some people got approved in 3 months or less. I say go ahead with the info pass.
