No it isn't. I've not disputed the events Malkins article describes (because it involves doing more work than i really care to). Once again the article presents those events in a manner that is deliberately vague, because the impression you are supposed to take from the article is that Muslims everywhere are like that. It doesn't leave room for the reality that very many Muslims do not subscribe to, or endorse terrorism or fundamentalist extremism.
Once again, this is a site has a diverse membership of peoples all over the world. To me - posting and endorsing articles like this one imo disparages and marginalises a lot of people here. It is against the TOS and shouldn't be allowed.
As I said, if you are not prejudiced against Muslims and you have a genuine interest in the subject of terrorism from alleged Muslims, why are you not looking for scholarly articles rather than thinly veiled propaganda. Malkins article IS propaganda BTW and like all good propaganda it uses selected truths to advance a nationalist agenda.

PS - Most Muslims are not Middle Eastern, as you claim. Only one ME country, Egypt, makes it into the top five of predominately Muslim countries. Most Muslims are Asian, not Middle Eastern. Muslims are living on every continent, in many cultures. To think of the majority as Middle Eastern when fewer than 18% of the total are Arab is one stereotype that can be busted immediately.

Nonsense to this. Words spoken by some terrorists acting out of character with the religious faith of more than a billion adherents to that faith do not redefine the entire faith for everyone else. You must be ignorant or agenda driven to believe that. Non-Muslims may make demands of Muslims who are living Islam well to explain Muslims who are perverting it, but they are barking up the wrong tree to do so.
People who are so easily lead to believe that a fraction of anything, including the lowest common denominator, defines the whole indeed needs a brain transplant so they can begin to see the issue more clearly and not in such simplistic terms.

Islam isn't a monolith. Extremism is no more meaningful to Muslims who are law abiding than the actions of Catholic priests or Real IRA are to ordinary Catholics.
None of which answers the question that has you jumping into bed with any piece of yellow journalism or sensationalist trash that supports your one size fits all assessment of Muslims.
Perhaps the reason you seem to be backing away a little from Malkin is because you recognize it makes you look bigoted.
If you can't/won't look beyond the lowest elements of the media, to inform yourself about Islam, it merely proves that your position is not educated, it is based largely, if not exclusively on your own biases and preconceived prejudices. Apparently all one has to do is write a scathing article full of cherrypicked facts and emotional invective, and you come running.
    Disgusting.

I did demonstrate how. You want me to come up with facts to disprove an unprofitable premise. Has it just once occurred to you that granting hate fueled rhetoric legitimacy in a discussion that you are essentially endorsing it and being an apologist for the hatred of extremists. Why would you do that?
It's easy - talk to some Muslims who aren't extremists.

That's a worthwhile point. What a few posters do is little more than spam the forum with bigoted propaganda about an overwhelmingly peaceful people. Allowing it to go unchecked--even protecting it in a way by creating a private "crazy person zone"--is arguably as good as condoning it. Wither the TOS?
It's embarrassing, especially in a community that is, by design, populated by people of every religion and culture. Muslims aren't an abstract concept; they are real people on this site.
There's a difference between reasoned debate and hatemongering, freedom of expression and snarling trollery. Should you be allowed to say that the Muslim religion is a hateful one, even if that statement is false? Maybe. Should you be allowed to say it fifty times in a row in different stupid ways, all day long and into the night, insulting the people of an entire religion in an interminable drumbeat of prejudice? I'm not so sure.

Being common doesn't make it credible. You are perfectly well aware of my meaning. Some people are unable to separate their own beliefs from certainty that what they believe is necessary for everyone. You are not one of those.

Brought to you by the same political forces that have been working so hard to convince Americans that Obama's "foreign", a Muslim and/or a Kenyan. What better way to bring down this President than by fomenting anti-Muslim fervor while simultaneously convincing America their President is Muslim?

The issues in those countries have a lot to do with history and the fact that they were conquered repeatedly by internal elements, and by (for example) the Mongols. It isn't possible to have a progressive society against a background like that.
Incidentally, this is much the same reason why a lot of ex-colonial African nations have endemic problems. Those countries and peoples haven't been able to determine their own destiny.

Do you think writing things in bold makes your words more legitimate? I have to say you make yourself ppear to be mind bogglingly ignorant by making such a statement. History is littered with sacrifices made by 'the people' in the name of geopolitical causes. Martyrs are a lot fewer and farther between - I doubt there is a single genuine martyr to be found in this century. It must be very wearing being a muslim having to constantly counteract this unforgivable ignorance. You are not oppressed Danno, you are not denied access to information, to source material, to time to study and yet you willfully ignore every opportunity afforded to you to acquire information, preferring to listen to hacks and partisan commentary. Shame on you.
I expect a lot do. Polarization is so pretty.

This is like an insane person producing some insane rant, having someone disagree with those insane rantings, and then putting the burden on them to disprove all that insanity. No such obligation exists. You (not you, Pooky, but You/One) can assert anything you want in as twisted and myopic and manipulative a way as you want, but nobody is required to begin at a premise of legitimacy and work backward.
Michelle Malkin is widely regarded as a hateful lunatic. Let's disprove that first and then we can talk about her frothings.

I'm sure a Michelle Malkin article is what's called for here, perhaps you can find some choice Ann Coulter as well. Nothing inspires a good debate like that pair of "respected scholars"

Careful here. The nature of war being what it is, and soldiers necessarily being trained to dehumanize the enemy in order to be "effective," deliberate killing of innocents is very much a reality. There are a few American soldiers who've just been charged with multiple murders of innocent Afghani civilians--a game they worked out for kicks.
It's what happens when you successfully train people to be able to kill fellow humans efficiently and without remorse.
Don't care to get into the "this religion is worse than that one" thing, but just wanted to make the point that war deranges people and there's plenty of innocent blood on our hands as the ones who regularly decide to war it up.
I think when great violence is done, we see in it something of ourselves and can't abide that mirroring, so go to great lengths to separate ourselves and prove that we are utterly unlike "those people." But it's never that simple. The United States just cannot be considered a peaceful nation by any stretch. It is uncomfortable to accept that and to let in all the shades of grey that go with it.

Dumbing down the population is the intent of liberalism? What a stupid thing to say. Please square that with the accusations that liberals dominate higher education and are for the most part out of touch with the working classes and do not represent the 'average' American.

He looks like the separated at birth evil twin of Sully McPilotHero + sadstache. They shall meet in a fourth dimension and do battle, kill each other simultaneously, and return balance to the universe.
