Same thing.. I filed in December when the CSC was cranking them out.. They were getting 30-60 day approvals and the VSC was around the 100-120 day wait.. Plus we had all the Haiti visa applicants that took away resources.
Don't worry, your time will come.

Just a matter of hours now bro before the commander gets there, I bet you cant wait !!!
LOL I'm a wreck.. I didn't sleep a wink last night, just way too excited.. I tracked her flight from Davao to Manila on an almost minute by minute basis.. I called her as she was boarding the plane and then she sent me an SMS last night when she reached the Casa Bocobo..
She's resting today/tonight then leaves around 7:30 am tomorrow (7/7) from Manila to New York via Japan.
We really are down to just hours at this point.. Right around 33

I thought CSC was sending petitions to Texas as well, but only people going through VSC have seen speedy processing. Pretty annoying for us CSC'ers, haha.
Go back a few months and you'll see that CSC was churning them out in 30-60 days, whereas VSC was in the 100-120 days.. Look at my timeline, 101 days for a NOA2 from VSC..
It's all just one big ####### shoot.

Just throw them in a big cd wallet, put it in your checked luggage, and she'll be fine. They're looking for drugs at the border, not fake cds/dvds..
-
I certainly will.. As you can imagine I'm pretty excited and having a hard time sleeping.. She's flying to Manila tomorrow morning and I've had her promise me (maybe 100x now) to message me when she arrives in the hotel safely. Then she's meeting up with one of her friends for dinner + movie, then flying to JFK the next morning.
It's been a long wait now, but certainly worth it!
New Hampshire is beautiful. We're going up there in the Fall for a long weekend..
Good luck to you!

I can field some of these...
Layovers are fine, my sweetiepie is coming to JFK via Japan. Since it's just a layover and not a stayover (overnight), then it's fine. And once you've booked a flight and have a ticket, it should be yours! Just tell your sweetiepie not to give up her seat for any of the free incentive offers that the airlines would offer.

I just sent Milagros a few e-mails and about 5 pages worth of chat logs..
As Tahoma said, they are well more interested in your financials than your chat logs. Happy 4th of July!

I think it's because Tahoma's been an army of one answering questions..

She will require a photocopy of both your passport and of the credit card that was used to purchase the tickets. This is not always enforced/some airlines don't require this, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck!

my travel agent said PAL gives discount to first time immigrants
Yup that's true.. It's just tough if you're traveling to the East Coast from PI because PAL only flies to the West Coast of the US..

May wore some leggings and a comfy top..

That was pretty funny!

Just another reason to avoid the $hithole called Manila. Bad thing is most tourist only visit Manila and come away hating the Philippines.
Davao has a International Airport (But it seems like very few flights if any use Davao), and the weather is not as bad as Manila and it seems to get spared from Typhoons, Plus the city is ran by Mayor that makes sure you as a tourist will be well protected, and you don't have every person in the world trying to scam from you.
Only thing Manila is good for is landing at the airport and getting on another plane and going to another city in PI.
Agreed.. It's just unfortunate that there are few ways to avoid flying into Manila if you're visiting from abroad. I think Davao just has the Singapore airlines flight coming in/going out.. Davao is absolutely beautiful, a true gem of the Philippines.
-
Yup, just show them your boarding pass for the next flight.. And you'll be all set.. Be safe, and God bless!

Ugh, May is coming in just 4 days.. I hope her flight to/from Manila isn't delayed..
-
If you don't plan on leaving the airport, you shouldn't need a transit visa. My sweetiepie is coming to the US via Delta Air Lines in a few days via Japan, and no visa is required. She just has to go shopping in the Hello Kitty store during her layover..
-
Yup, I only use Orbitz.com when I'm flying from US to PI (round-trip).. Otherwise you get that BS error.

Hello everyone,
I've been MIA for a few weeks, but have good news...VISA APPROVED!!!
Carol will arrive in US on July 17.
The CO had many questions for each of us, but the waiting was the hard part. Carol received her visa in Cali on June 29, 12 days after the interview. I am so glad that this is over and I can relax for a couple of months. Many thanks for everyone's help and support.
Congrats to everyone that had their visa approved and received NOA2.
Congrats Mark, great stuff.. Just a little over a week after May will be here...

So with the 25 day shuffle becoming a 5 day shuffle, here's a quick update with where I'm at...
- All light bulbs that were previously out, have now been replaced with working ones
- I now own a lavender scented candle and have it lit to help freshen the condo
- The fridge/freezer have been cleaned out of any old foods past the expiration date
- My excessive beer glass collection has mostly been donated to my younger brother
- All old/worn out clothing has been donated
- Cabinets have been straightened and old medicines have been disposed of
- Old electronics have been eBayed, the money put aside in a clothes shopping fund
- The car has been fully cleaned out, vacuumed, etc
- The closet is as ready as it will ever be
I really think I'm just about as good as I'll ever be for the love of my life.. I can't wait to fetch her on Wednesday...

Agree with Tahoma, I just had a colleague sign it.. It's not like they are going to call them.. Just have him provide a letter on the company letterhead and I think you'll be fine.
-
That's some mighty fine news!!
