  1. We just had biometrics the other day and haven't had a touch, either. Maybe it's too early to receive a touch or maybe our case won't be touched at all. I'm actually not that worried about it.

The only thing I'm worried about is IF the case gets transferred to CSC (so far it hasn't been) that it will get stuck there like happened to a number of filers in May/June. Gosh, that would be the worst :(

Seriously? I was hoping CSC would mean that they'd crank through them.. It even says "so that they can process them faster"..

Today was the latest that my case has been "touched" since being transferred to CSC.. Transferred on the 17th, touched on the 24th, touched again today. Maybe I'll get lucky with an approval this week?

  2. A little update from us.

We are on our 4th!!!! Bio-fvcking-metrics appointment because people at the ASC office cannot perform their job.

Supposedly after the second failed biometrics there shouldn't be any more, but we are going for our 4th one on Monday. Prints keep getting rejected by FBI.

Infopass appointment seems like a good next step at this point.

Ugh that friggin sucks.. Good luck!

  3. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.. Last year, May and I were in Boracay spending Thanksgiving together.. (I proposed around that time)

And now we're enjoying it together with friends and family.. Wishing the best for you all.

  4. Since the Nov 17th notice that our case was being transferred to California, we received another update today that:

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

So I'm guessing that means that California received it today maybe? I'm curious if anyone else had this same text update a week after being transferred to California?

  5. I think this is good news! Hopefully your packet will be processed quickly and without an interview. That's what happened to us!

Don't worry -- we didn't hear anything about the EAD (even though many had received their EAD way before the green card), then suddenly we got a notice of approval for permanent residence AND the green card within 3 days of each other! I'm sure you'll hear some good news soon! :)

Thanks, by looking at your timeline we might be lucky and receive GC & EAD right before Christmas.. What a wonderful present that would be..

  6. On November 17, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

    Still no EAD..

  7. Hey guys... An update from the "December couple left behind"...

Missuzu finally had her interview with the US embassy in Rio de Janeiro on Oct 19... The visa was APPROVED!!!!

The only problem was that they found a discrepancy in her Brazilian passport, so she will have to get a new one (takes about a week) before they can put the visa in the passport. But the bottom line is that we are approved, and we can finally move on with our life/future!

Realistically, we think that Missuzu won't come to the US until sometime in December (still have a lot of work to do to prepare for the big move). But it looks like we will have a very happy Christmas together.

Just wanted to share the good news.

    Congrats Norm!
