She can check ceac.state.gov if the visa issued. Did she sign up for dhl? They should email her when it is available for pickup or drop off if she live in certain area.

Hi, thanks for the info. I thought it was that site but apparently their system is not updated because when I checked the status it said it is still waiting for her to drop off her passport. Now I check today and it said it is in AP (administrative processing) which is odd, I have never seen that happen after approval.

  2. Hi everyone, I need help and I hope someone can guide me in the right direction. My niece just recently was approved at the US Embassy in Jamaica and was told to drop off her passport (she was initially denied). My question is is there any way to check the status of the visa? I remember years ago when I did the K1 visa I was able to check the status and pick up the passport and have my then husband fly out the same day. Thanks in advance for any help!

  3. Oh my gosh its been so long since I posted that I forgot where to click to post. Jenn I'm glad everything is great because I do think about you often.

Karen I'm glad you RTW trip went well! I hope you find a job soon!

Kayla I Aww your post on fb and I pray that the IUI works out because I know all too well what its like to have difficulties conceiving.

Maggie Maggie Maggie, a little baby boy huh? Congratulations and I pray that all goes well for you!

As for us, we went to Jamaica for the 1st time since he's been here and it was great for his family and my dad to finally meet the baby. We don't file for ROC until august and to be honest I can't wait because that means we'll be closer to filing for citizenship and we'll be DONE!

I'm very happy to hear that everyone is doing well.

Frenzy I'm not sure if I told you already but congrats on getting your own.apartment :)

  4. Hi everyone, its been so long since I signed on in here.

Anyhow, as for us we're doing great and enjoying being parents. G now works 4pm-12am so he can watch lil man. As for the baby, he's doing great and meeting all his developmental milestones on time. I'm entirely convinced that he's perfectly normal. In God I put my trust.

    Kayla, how's school?

Maggie are you working as yet?

    Karen, I bet you're having a blast!

Jenn, how are you and Fuat?

Anyone knows how to get in contact with Frenzy, very concerned about her...

  5. I have a HUGE smile on my face to see a part 2, I feel like we've reached a milestone. Call me weird and mushy but at first I didn't want to see the other thread closed, it has sentimental value to me...

Now I forgot what to reply to O_o

Kayla, I know this is easier said than done when trying to conceive, but DON'T STRESS. It will get you frustrated, heart broken, tired etc Continue to do fun things, dot do the dirty just to conceive, do it to enjoy it and to be intimate with your husband. Always think that way because if you continue to think you're doing the dirty to conceive, you're going to be disappointed each month that it doesn't happen. I hope I don't sound too harsh but I tried for 8 months and I literally would get depressed when my cycle comes each month.

    Soo happy dirty doing :D

Oh and yes, he has a head full of hair! I guess the myth (that if you have a lot of heart burn during pregnancy, the baby has a lot of hair) is true.

I forgot who asked how's Glenoi adjusting. He LOVES Aiden to death! You would think he's the one that gave birth to him. He spoiled him already too, Aiden doesn't sleep for long periods of time at night in the bassinet unless hes on the bed with us, wiggled up under our arm pits. It's amazing how far we put away from us and within seconds he wiggles his butt close to us, lol.

But all in all, Glenoi is very helpful.

Frenzy, my attic too did the same thing 3 years ago and until this day I'm still paranoid every time I hear the smoke detector go off. I low exactly what you're going through and I pray that it will be resolved ASAP! In the mean time just remember your blessings.

  6. Hi everyone :D

    Hope we're all doing well!

Frenzy, I hope your honey likes his job.

Kayla I hope you and Matthew are adjusting well

Jenn, thank God a year has passed and you're cancer free AND Fuat is still here.

Everyone, my adorable baby boy was born last night at 7:28pm, weighing 6lbs 5oz. I woke up at 4am with contractions soo painfully unreal that i KNEW it had to be time. I got to the hospital around 6:30am, at that time I was 2cm dilated. By noon I was 4cm and in pain so I asked for the epidural. With my luck, it just wasnt working. I had to get the dosage upped 4 times and by then I couldn't feel my legs. Ladies, the pain is like no other :(

By 7pm I was fully dilated and ready to push, I was warned that first pregnancy labor are harder but thank Jesus, I pushed only 3 times and his tiny little self came out!

Hubby is ecstatic!!! Won't even let the baby sleep!

Oh, his name is Aiden Glanoi Jenkinson :)

  7. It's your choice what you want to do however I always advise couples to not withdraw the petition. To actually go to the interview and then decide if they'll come or not. I say this because with all the hassle and emotions of the immigration process, we can be stressed and don't make good decisions. I would hate to see that you guys withdrawn the petition and then when its too late, decide to get back together.

But to answer your actual question, you will be questioned more from here on out, like the last poster said.

  8. Hi guys :D

Frenzy, congrats on the approvals and I hope he finds a job soon! Oh boy I read further and saw that he got his green card AND he found a job, awesome!

Kayla I'm glad the move went well and glad you like the town...

Jenn, you did predict I was going to be the first :)

Thank God you've been cancer free!

    Lol @ momma :)

As for us, we celebrated our anniversary last week, we rented a beach house and it was awesome! Wasn't beach weather but just to be away from home was enough heaven for me.

5 more weeks to go before my due date, 1 week before the shower. I can basically say that any day now I'll be a mommy :)

  9. So it's official!!! Mathew and I are moving to Fort Wayne, IN! He got the job offer today and he starts on May 9th. So we have a lot to get done in a short amount of time, but we're so happy that it's finally happened for him.

Only thing that bothers me though, is that this is the first time I'm moving out of mom's house and I'm terrified. Yeah, I went to college but it's not the same, because this was still my home. When I move to Indiana I'm going to be out on my own for the first time and it'll be 7 hours away. :(

Wow, congratulations. Its about time :dance:

OMG, I would be terrified too. And 7 hours away??? Ouch

That's super amazing! Congratulations to him! If it helps, I think your fears are justified. It is scary to move out the first time!

On our front - we got his biometrics done, and now we're waiting. A bunch of the other Feb11 filers have gotten interview dates, and there's at least one that's already gotten their green card. Maybe we should have done an early walk in for biometrics, even though they (our office) really dislike it when people do that. :( He's getting depressed due to lack of activity, and we had our first really, really REALLY major fight the other day (though it wasn't over jobs or lack thereof).. I don't even know. :/

I don't know why I thought you were further along, like already did your biometrics.

Frenzy, I'm sure we'll all agree that we've all had really big fights so don't worry about it too much. As long as at the end of the day you two sit and discuss the problem because arguing will not solve whatever problem it was. Good luck
