I changed my name right at the AoS interview because I forgot to fill out the form in my married name lol. Once you get GC in hand in your married name you can change everything else without problem and it doesn't cost any extra.

1st text means they sent it to be produced/printed, 2nd means it is actually printed and ready to go, 3rd means they've stuck it in the mail so keep an eye out!! It is on it's way to you.

I too feel bad for you guys! This whole medical losing business is just ridiculous, it's not as though they don't know you need it to file AoS why isn't there a place that they get filed and barcoded. Sheesh!

Brandi n Michael Congrats to both of you on this journey now for a short break.
Nah it is a long break for us! We've been married over 2 years (10 year card) and I really don't know if I'll go the citizenship way yet

Green Card in hand! That is one cool looking card! and it is green lol
I'll keep watching for progress until we are all done here

Personally I wouldn't submit the medical that was done overseas. I would take the vaccination sheet that came with it and take that to a civil surgeon and have them transcribe all the vaccinations onto the American form I-693 but again like I said it is a gamble that you won't get RFE for a new medical. I did it and was honestly expecting to get told to redo the medical. So if you need time to save for a medical it is a great way to do it but if you do get an RFE it will slow down your AoS.
Mine was only 5 days expired by the time I submitted the forms. The longer you wait the less likely you will get by with it I would think. A new medical can be expensive, anywhere from $150-$500 or more at some places so shop around!!
Choice is yours

You have to be a USC to petition for a fiance visa, so what do you think?
No need to be rude!! If you don't have the time to answer properly, don't. Really it is that simple.
-
bring the vaccination report done by the UK medical and the additional slips given when he had the additional vaccines post medical and they will transcribe it all on to the i693 for you. No need for new medical.
-
Now I went to my interview fully expecting an RFE for expired medical but much to my surprise I didn't get one. At the time I submitted my AoS application my medical was over a year old (by 5 days) but I went and had the documents transcribed onto the i693 about 3 weeks prior, signed and sealed. I did not get a RFE or any questions. I could have just been extremely fortunate though :)Up to you whether or not you want to gamble like I did.

I live in Denver!! There is one up by I-70 (Monoco - Holly) area that will transcribe for 10 bucks (walk-in friendly). It is called Aviation Clinic or some thing like that. They did mine in Sept.. PM me if you need any more info!!
edit to say - yes the one in the post above is the one I used and they were great!

You have more than we did and we got approved. It really isn't that stressful of an interview. You actually walk out wondering really that was it?? Sit back relax, you're ready for this
-
email/text moving us into post decision activity. Must mean they mailed GC?? lol
-
Still nothing yet Robert? Dang!
-
Welcome to USA letter received lol

This just in!! (well when I woke up it was there) Email and text notification that card production has been ordered!!
So relieved! I couldn't think of anything else we could possibly submit (except those pesky bank statements I had forgotten)
We are officially done for 10yrs! unless I change my mind and go citizenship, which I'm still very undecided on BUT it is the only way to eliminate USCIS from being in our lives. That in itself is a huge motive for citizenship, especially after all this!!!!
I'll let you know when that lovely little card is in my possession!
Now to update timeline

OK so we are home from the interview. Got told they will review our file and we should have a decision in 2-3 weeks...sigh! I don't think anyone got an approval this morning, everyone walked out in state of limbo. Sad!
It was the strangest interview I had ever been to. The guy was more interested in my education and comparing me to his son. Odd! Didn't want to see anything just joint information and I do believe he wanted more from us because we had been married for 2 years. We gave him everything we had including our puppies vaccination stuff because it was in both our names. He did get a little concerned/weird look (if that is the right word) at the 'bank' info we provided as it was not bank statements but account info. (I forgot to pick up bank statements from the bank) my bad!
So now we wait again

We just our interview appt. date for Mar 17th
I have been watching the Denver timeline and yup right on schedule for slooooowwww Denver LOL. At least I know I'm getting my 10year card

Just thought we'd let you know that we are still here and waiting...haven't heard anything and haven't had any touches since the end of Oct. Yay for the Denver Office lol

We were only able to add me when I didn't have an SSN to Alliant credit Union (by the way they suck but it works in the mean time) If you can add yourself to Chase without an SSN I would recommend it as they will help you get credit when you get your SSN via just regarding your banking with them builds credit.

LOL took me two weeks to get the actual SSN card but I did get to apply for it that same day...and I got to get the DL temp and wait to receive the card...it took about 2 weeks to get both

AP is only for traveling outside of the USA. You could always travel with your NOA1 from AoS application just in case INS wants to create problems though

I would NOT send in the original but another copy and if you are really concerned get a certified copy.

I feel your pain!! I came in on K3 visa from finishing my masters and working full time. It was nice for about 6 months but then I was so bored that I was cranky and tired! It was a huge strain on our relationship! Time went on and on. We decided to apply for EAD prior to AoS because we could on a K3 visa but still it took 4 months to get that *sigh* I tried volunteering but it would just tick me off that I assumed everyone's work load while they socialized. I have a strong work ethic and well that caused me more stress lol. Now that I work we share the vehicle it makes for long days but at least I get out now. We also have zero friendships but we are starting to meet people through church so it is coming together. When I was home bored I took up playing World of Warcraft lol at least you can chat with people on there
It will get easier but yes it sucks until then and the USA government doesn't care one bit about what they put you and your spouse through. If anything if you can make it, it proves to them you have a 'real' marriage

Yes you were very fortunate but still you got ripped off at the same time. I know you must be way more frustrated than me but I think I would have raised supreme caca if it were me lol but I shouldn't complain my medical was 5 days expired when I sent in the AoS and I fully expected them to tell us to get a new one!
Come on approvals!!
and what the heck Robert, they've been to your house how can there be anymore doubt as to real 'bona fide' marriage. *sigh*
