Does anyone have a copy of the old I-129f that they might be able to attach?
I really need this one and can't find it anywhere. I REALLY appreciate this one folks. Thanks.
This Form expires 30June2006.. i'm not sure if you can find that form anywhere other than the one that I had filled out and printed.. but then I used the new form when I sent in our package this week.
I'm pretty sure it expires today..

Many Congratulations !!!!! We wish you the both the best in your lives together ..

That is awesome news !!! congratulations to the both of you
Some of you might rememeber I posted here last week. My finacee was given a forn 221(g) during her interview. I had only submitted my 2004 tax return and told my fiance to let the interviewer know I filed for an extention for my 05 return there for did not have it yet. They turned her away with a form 221(g) with the words "wait to hear from us" Well we were freaking out! They gave no clear indication on what htye would do. Well I'm happy to report that the Embassy sent Rackel her visa in the mail as of yesterday. I called the Embassy and they told me after fully reviewing my AOS they made the descision to grant the visa! We are sooo happy words can explain. Just though everyone who was in on the topic would be surprised at the outcome.Mike

2 x 2 inch square http://travel.state.gov/passport/guide/setup/setup_873.html
we have had a similar problem.. The pictures we had taken here in the US were 2" x 2" square.. and I read somewhere that the pictures had to be within 30days old .. so we had to have them retaken to send in our package this week..
so we had them taken again when I was visiting him in germany a couple weeks ago.. and the dimensions for the pictures taken in germany were alot different.. rectangular. BUT the face was the same size as the ones we had taken in the US .. just the picture itself was smaller the borders were not as big.. (diminsion wise)
SO .. keeping our fingers crossed.. the ones we had taken in germany will be sufficient.. Idont' know how they deal with these pictures when the pictures are taken in europe as opposed to the US

Thank you VisaJourney! YOU ALL made this happen because without you we would not have been prepared! Without you my wife to be would be like all the girls she saw with blue slips today.

All the USCIS papers, including letter of intent i sent in the originals and kept photocopies. Basically, whatever I had to sign I gave in as an original. Everything else like Birth certificate, passport, etc, I sent in copies.
Your fiance has the right idea
thank you stina

hi all
I am just a little confused
as to what should be copies in the I-129F package being sent and what should be originals.
according to this website here.. we put in copies of birth certificate , divorce decree and proof of relationship in the I-129F package to be sent..
in another area .. it talks about:
**IMPORTANT!
Make TWO copies of the entire package before you send it in. This includes checks too. You want to have a perfect replica of the package you are sending in. Retain ALL originals. The USCIS has the right to check them by issuing an RFE (Request For Evidence). If you receive an RFE, follow the direction exactly, and make two copies of what you sent back. **
now i'm confused.. what do we send originally as a copy and what do we send as original? Do we send originals of the I-129F and the G-325a? or copies? and retain all originals?
I know my fiancé is probably right in saying we should send the originals of everything but our evidence .. divorce decree and my birth certificate.. but I just would like a 2nd on this motion.. so I know I've done everything right.
thank you to anyone who can make this clear for me..

We, personally, never had a touch on a Saturday, but it seems pretty common.
Karen
I'll take all the touching I can get. This is going to smooth for me so far.
JM
This is very encouraging for me.. as I'm mailing my petition this wednesday .. to the same processing center
Congratulations

I didn't see anything about the foreign finacee's passport/birth-certificate being part of the I-129F package on the Visa journey checklist and so did not send it in with mine---did I miss something???
I have a copy of her passport (photo-page only tho since it is new and there is nothing on any of the other pages) but didn't send it in because I didn't see it on the checklist---is Cass correct? what gives?
John in SC
who has been entirely too serene since mailing his thingy and needs something to worry about.
Did you attach a passport style photo on her G-325a? I think that is all that is needed as far as "passport" for the beneficiary goes at this time.

Thank you for your reply Jenn .. that is very helpful
I know many people have put unemployed/full-time student or something similar.Myself, I just didn't include any work prior to my first out-of-college job, even though it had been less than five years since I'd graduated. So my employment history didn't start till 2002. I didn't have any problems.
-
Hi all ..
I am currently trying to fill out this G-325a form and I am on the employment portion of the form. There is one point during these 5 years that I was in school full time for 2 years ..
there is a period of time during my studies ..that I am unemployed because of school but I had jobs during that time as well.
Do I add anything about my schooling with the unemployment statement?
example : Unemployed ( full-time student ) 12 2005 - 05 2006
Or do I just leave off about my school all together?
thanks to anyone who can help

Thank you Alexa+Reynaldo for your well wishes
and your wisdom.. We will try to keep everyone posted about our status. I'll be anxious to hear your updates as well
Thanks, and good luck to you too!Oh one other thing. I've HEARD (from some book written by a lawyer) that the I-134 (for your interview) is not actually that binding. In fact it's supposedly been known to be worthless. The I-864 for AOS IS, however, serious. The one for your interview holds you only to sponsoring the immigrant before the K1 runs out (someone stop me if I'm wrong). The I-134 seems to require minimal preparation as well. If possible, I'm just asking my dad for the I-134 for the interview and then when it comes time to adjust status, I'll see if I still need him.
My dad has done a lot for me too, and I really know how you feel! I seriously hope you don't have to ask him for anything (oh the humiliation...just when I thought I was finally independent).
Keep everyone posted on how your K1 process goes!
-
crayon,
Lot of misunderstandings here. Let's just say that
- you're way ahead of yourself with I-864 and
- for both the visa application and the adjustment of status you can submit whatever supporting materials you wish, in addition to what's required, to demonstrate that you have sufficient current income, plus assets if you wish to show them also, to support the alien you are sponsoring.
Send in your petition.
Yodrak
Thank you so much for this validation
We will go ahead and begin this long awaited process.. Thank you Yodrak
I'm in a similar situation. My dad is going to be my joint sponsor because I just started working full time too, and I don't want to deal with any maybes. Even though I now meet the requirement, I want to make sure that this visa is approved. So, I sucked it up, and asked my dad. If your parents or someone else could joint sponsor, this would be an option.Just the route I took...
I thought about doing that.. but my dad financed my entired schooling.. just couldn't ask him for one more thing ..
so we'll see how it goes with this route.. and pray that what I have to prove as far as financial support will be enough for them.
Thank you for the reply Alexa+Reynaldo
and best wishes on your visa application that you just recently sent
-
hi all ..
My
fiancé
and I are finally ready to send in this K-1 visa application as I just graduated from college last month and I'm working in a full time job RIGHT now. Because I was under the governments poverty standards for the last few years.. we couldn't send in our application until I graduated and got a job.
NOW I've got a full time great paying job.. and I just read that the I-864 forms have changed their requirements for sponsorship (affidavit of support) to be to only show a most recent income tax return instead of the last 3 years.. I also thought that we could "instead" give bank statements for 3-6 months.. and a letter from your employer... but I'm afraid that it may only be the income tax return.
IF we send this application Now.. the end of JUNE 2006.. (vermont will be our processing center) I want to know if it would be enough to show that I get paid enough NOW to be a sponsor or if I need a co-sponsor because my last tax return is not enough. It will be enough with my 2006 income tax return, OR should we continue to wait. I do not want to get a co-sponsor as I do not want to get anyone else involved.
If we have to wait longer.. when would be the earliest time to send this application in.
I hope this makes sense.. We are within Days of sending in this application and we want everything to be right and we do not want to have to send it again.
Any information from anyone.. would be soo very helpful
