  1. I think they will (usually) just automatically put down the consulate that is nearest to your fiancee. I made the same mistake a long time ago when filing, and put down Toronto instead of Montreal, and they just assigned us to Montreal any way.

Thank you for your reply :) helps me relax a little hehe.. *WHEW*

:luv: DANKE Sabrina&Joshua for your reply .. that helped too :luv:

In some cases, all immigrant visas are processed in just one consulate. That's the case in Brazil. I believe we had put we wanted it to be processed at the consulate in the city where I live, but it's sent to the appropriate consulate anyway.

Anyways... they only ask where you wish it were processed... no sweat.

and Thanks Mew.. all these replys make me feel alot better.. Think I"ll be able to sleep tonite hehe.

  2. Ok.. :help:

This is a week and 2 days after I sent in our K-1 Visa Application and I am starting to sweat..

I just realized that there is a difference between an Embassy.. and a Consolate..

NOW.. I have already sent in our package .. and Question #20 on the I-129F form asks: your fiancé will apply for a visa abroad at the american embassy or consulate at

and I put Berlin Germany which is apparently an Embassy where as Frankfurt is an Embassy/Consolate ?

Why does it not specify CONSOLATE ONLY if that is the only place where Visas are processed?

I'm starting to panic .. thinking this is going to slow down our process or hamper it tremendously

Can anyone make heads or tails of this ?? or has anyone else had this problem??

    Thanks for any input ..

  5. I filled our my G0325A and I filled out her G-325A. I signed mine and she signed her's.

The problem is I didn't put my name at the bottom of her form stating that I filled out the form for her. At the bottom it say's if someone else filled out this form please have them sign here. I did not do this.

 that is at the bottom of the I-129F .. not the G-325a :) you are good to go

  6. Yup so... I sent it to Nebraska, I got NOA1 from California. In case anyone was curious about what was going to happen.

This at least answers our questions about petitions filed with the new I-129F to Nebraska: they are going to California. Well, I guess that was obvious

So, anyway, hope everyone else who recently filed gets them too!

 CONGRATULATIONS Alexa+Reynaldo :luv::luv::luv: very exciting news :D

  9. I am sitting here, having gathered all information requested, and I am putting the K-1 together...

I've read that you can put tabs at the bottome of your paper work, can you put tabs on the actual forms to do you need to attach and peice of paper for the tabs to be attached to?

    thanks guys.

I used little paperclips on everything.. papercliped the forms.. each set.. papercliped the evidence in order.. and put tabs onthe bottom explaining each part of evidence.. we'll see if they liked it or not lol good luck with your package :) still waiting for receipt for mine :)

  10. Good luck to you Andy !!

I know how you felt driving the the post office .. I felt that way when I took mine to the post office on tuesday of this week.. It really does feel good to have the process started..

Well I mailed in the application to Vermont today!! and Ohh! my god!! I was so nervous driving to the post office "did I do everything right", "do I have all the information", "what if I missed something". I checked over this petition about 20 times, I rewrote, reworded, and stressed through the whole process of putting it together. The end result was one of the greatest pieces of art I've put together yet!!

My situation is a little different because I actually needed to send information regarding IMBRA, since I have 3 or more convictions relating to alcohol..stupid Andy (smack) stupid Andy. Well, I figured I would type a full page letter for each conviction explaining all that happened and put court terms into understandable terms. I really outdid myself. I only sent in certified court records with charges and disposition, I hope all will go well. We surely will see......sooner or later!!

Well, It feels good either way to finally have the process started. I guess it's time to sit back and react!!

    good luck to everyone!!!!
