Sometimes they send you both copies, sometimes just one.

You can take both to the first appointment and get them both stamped, its been done before, good luck!

we had the 1st appointment on April 3rd already.. and just today. April 10th got another letter for a 2nd appointment on April 24th for the 2nd Biometrics appointment. We do still have the 1st appointment letter. Sooo.. We go to the 2nd appointment and tell them we were there on April 3rd? We still have to pay for parking.. and take the time to go there again.

Just jumping through hoops lol .. BUT at least we got to sit together hehe

You will need the biometrics done for both the EAD and the AOS.

Is there a reason for this redundancy? Fingerprints are fingerprints.. no? lol .. Both these appointments are 3 weeks apart. Seems like a waste of time and money but of course we will comply *sigh*

We filed the 485 and the 765 both at the same time. We didn't realize we had to send a seperate check for the 765.. not realizing all the fees and forms were seperate..

anywho.. we got the Biometrics appointment for the 485 thinking this would cover both forms again... and recently got *ANOTHER* appointment letter.. to the same office.. to get the very same thing done again.

Has this happened to anyone else? is this a normal thing? Isn't this redundant??

Thank you for all your helpful information We did find a Civil Surgeon who would fill out the I-693A form from his vaccination record. Also gave him a couple of shots that he needed. Our AOS was mailed off on 6Mar07 .. keeping our eyes on the mail box waiting to hear from them hehe.

We are new to this forum as we are recently married with the K-1 visa in hand

we are in the process of getting our I-485 package together and we are confused about this I-693, I-693A issue.

the step by step guide says...

I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (If you already have this from your overseas Visa Interview submit a copy that medical check form; No fee is required in this case. If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.)

he had the medical exam, got the copy of the chest x-ray and received a sealed envelope that was taken from him as he entered the US.. but has no report? how do we get the I-693A form to send in with our AOS I-485 package?

Don't use the USC just to get where you want to be that is the saddest thing I've ever heard. If that is not the case .. and your intentions to marry the USC are genuine.. then I wish you 2 the best..

how long b4 u get a notification for a visa interview after receiving a letter of approval?

took us 4 weeks to hear from the consulate.. some people it takes 3 days

He sent in the Package 3 on 19Sept2006 and his interview will not be until 20Nov2006 .. but at least now we have a big light at the end of the tunnel

Well.. I would definitely call them..

but I think.. They may just be returning your BirthCertificate.. as it was stated that you should send a "COPY" of your birth certificate with your application. They realized that you sent your original and they are returning that to you.

That would be MY guess. but I would call them anyway and if that is the case.. I'd say Thank you !! hehe
