to bmtrrbt & carefree, thanks guys! your replies consoles me and makes me smile at the same time...im curious to know what kind or style of position you guys are talking about...lol...hindi nyo ba pwedeng i-share which one ng magawa nga! lol. i've heard many times that pap smear really helps a woman to get pregnant...never had one before coz some woman says it is painful so im afraid to have one. but, i suppose i need to...give it a try and who knows this might help me too. sisters, ilang beses ba dapat magpa-pap smear? hindi ba isang beses lang yan? masakit ba talaga yan? anyway, even if its painful for as long as it will help me to conceive is no problem. i can take the pain...we're desperate to get pregnant...but perhaps you're right it is not our time yet.

ano po ba yang glucose test na ito? anong month ba kinukunan? paano kaya yun kung hindi pwede kumain ng 12hrs, kasi may ulcer ako, hindi ako pwede nalilipasan ng gutom. siguro pagsinabihan na lang ako ng nurse or ng OB ko na nxt month eh kukunan ako eh banggitin ko na rin yang ulcer pra masabihan ako kung ano dapat gawin hehe.

te riza, thanks for the idea na siguro nga dapat morning ako masked on the day of the glucose test pra gabi ako kakain tapos matutulog na lang ako, to avoid eating na rin saka hindi ko mafeel yung gutom lol! kasi baka ulcerin ako eh hehe.

about sa mga pregnancy classes...ayoko mag attend ng ganyan kasi boring tsaka mas lalo naman asawa ko ayaw nya umattend. there was a pinay na nag reapply sya sa wic kasi nung buntis pa sya may mga seminar ang wic then di sya naka attend kasi may work sya...kasi dito pag di ka umattend sa mga seminar eh matatanggal wic mo. sana walang seminar na ibibigay sa akin...hehhehehe

and about sa weight ko...according sa wic chart underweight daw ako dapat mag gain daw ako ng 40 pounds...ayaw ng hubby ko kasi ang laki raw...halos mga co-worker ko laging tinatanong kung kumakain ba raw ako...kasi nung sila nag buntis malaki na tyan nila eh ako ang liit...so medyo nag worry din ako...then today sa work ko may nakita akong buntis maliit ang tyan nya and supposedly mangangank na sya kasi 5 days ago pa due date nya...sabi nya baka raw tomorrow...so di na ako nag worry..kasi i know my baby is normal and kicking kahit maliit ako...pero dahil imomonitor ng wic ang weight ko kaya napipilitan akong uminom ng gatas...eh di naman ako makagatas kaya bumili kami ng hershey syrup para kahit papano maging chocolate drink hehhehehhe.

may tanong lang ako...engot na tanong...hehhehehe...natutulog ba ang baby sa loob ng tummy? kasi there are times na walang kick akong maramdaman...though di naman isang boung araw na walang kick...mga ilang oras lang..then pag nag kick na ang galaw galaw na then stop na naman...siguro napapagod din ang baby noh?

hi pink! thanks for your prayer....i bought pt kit yesterday and supposed to do the home test this morning (should be the 1st pee) but i forgot to bring the kit with me in the cr and just remembered it when i was almost done peeing. oh well, will do it tomorrow and i'll put the kit right on the top of the sink that way i wont forget...

actually when i did my pt i didnt do it in the morning...i did it late afternoon...even when i went to the doctor and they had urine test on me it wasnt the first pee too...and all turned out to be pregnant.

why wait for morning...as long as you have pee you can do it already.

well, thats what i thought too...coz i was thinking that when we did our pregnancy test at st. lukes during medical we were not asked for the 1st morning pee. just some of my friends said its best to do it first thing in the morning when wake up.

hello guys! just done my pt and....it was negative.... i felt so dissapointed....and frustrated right now....parang gusto kong umiyak kasi we were hoping for a positive result...in fact my husband have even researched already for a prenatal vitamins and what are the nutritious and healthy foods that needs for me and for the baby.... so frustarting!

anyways, thank you all for letting me share my happiness and hopes...it is so dissapointing but im not loosing hope coz i know someday our little angel will come...and hope this thread will still be here and would let me share my happiness again...

hey u can do it with NOA2. passport and 3 passport photos and about 10500 pesos u need. just give them ur NVC case number at the st luke.

she will only get 4 shots. it is not that bad.

again its not passport photos. passport photo are the one in blue background its visa pic 2x2 in white background you confused everybody everytime u say its passport photo the picture that u need for medical are the one in white background and 2x2 size

st. lukes dont accepts photocopy...only the original and they will give it back to you later anyway.

only one 2x2 photo is needed and the doctor would tell you how many shots you will be given.

My fiancee just told me that her friend just recently did the St. Lukes thing and they needed a name and address of a friend or relative of her petitioner/fiance.

I've never heard this before...is it true? If so do i just give my fiancee a name and address of a relative here in the US?

yes its on the form given by st. lukes to fill up, it will be ok if you have the name and address and include the telephone number its a requirement.

had my medical month ago and st. lukes did not asked for it nor it was on the form. only they requires the petitioner's complete name and address.

hi to all mommies and soon to be moms! just wanna ask some questions regarding pregnancy symptoms...lately kase, specially nung mga kalagitnaan ng july nakakaramdam ako ng kakaiba, like bigla nalang akong mahihilo sa umaga and i would suddenly feel sleepy kahit maaga pa and feel lazy during the day...yun bang parang ang bigat-bigat ng katawan ko at palagi akong gutom. tapos yong sikmura ko pakiramdam ko palaging empty even i just finished eating. also, parang palagi akong naduduwal and nagki-crave ako ng iba't ibang kind ng foods...my breasts are also sensitive (not that much anymore though) and tingly sometimes and my mouth is sometimes watery. we really think i am pregnant but im confuse...coz...my monthly cycle is regular and it's normally comes every 21st/22nd of the month...pero 2nd week of july nagbleed ako for 2 days but not heavy and also just 2 days ago and heavier...im really confuse if im pregnant (i really hope so) or not and my loving husband is convinced that we are conceived...in fact we're planning to go see a OB next week to do the pregnancy test...ano sa palagay nyo guys, buntis kaya ako o hindi? excited na kasi kame ni hubby na makabuo...thanks!

I remember the last time I had my period before my pregnancy, one day lang tapos hindi heavy. I experienced all the menstrual symptoms, so it never crossed my mind that I was already pregnant by that time. The next month, di ako dinatnan on the expected date, hanggang over a week na di pa rin. It didn't really bother me dahil, I still have that menstrual symptoms, hanggang husband ko one night umuwi galing work na may dalang home pregnancy test kit I had few symptoms ng kagaya mo, like yong watery mouth. There was one time nanood ako ng TV at ang commercial ay napaka red na water melon at super sarap tingnan at sinabihan ko husband ko about it. Yon ang isa sa mga reasons bakit siya nag-suspect na preggy ako.

thanks sis! eksakto yung sinabi mo about the menstrual symptoms. but mine lasted 2 days so im confused..pero ung normal period ko talaga usually lasts 3-5 days and eksakto palagi sa date..nito lang july and this month nag-iba...anyways, magpapabili na nga ako ng PT kit today and will do the home test myself...i really hope im positive. excited na kasi talaga kami ng asawa ko na magka-baby.

While waiting to see your Ob next week, you may do home pregnancy test. If it's positive then perhaps you are. On your visit to the OB, a confirmatory test (HCG test) will be done.

Hi! I know you are devastated by what happened in your x-ray. I go with sasha's post and I have the same feeling as you when I learned about my son. Every case is different, don't worry so much about the result of your culture. My son is on his 5th month of medication at St. Luke's now and I pray everyday that our worst nightmare will be over soon. This incident gave us so much hardship financially and emotionally. But what can we do? Except to follow the mandate of the US law and pray that one day my son will be with us. Keep the faith alive and good luck on the result of your culture, think positively. as i was working for how many years before i met my husband. i had medical exams almost every year as the company requires and never had any problem with it. i may had some minor illness/infections such as cold/flu etc. but would these affect our lungs? st. lukes just screwed us up! they cost us money too but there's nothing we can do about it but to wait, pray and trust Him. thank you for your reply...that's what i am doing right now...thinking positive and praying to the Lord Almighty! As you can see, Im just new here and Im so glad I found this site as I am having worries about my culture result at St. Lukes which will be on the 2nd week of September. Before I had my medical, I was so confident that I will have no problem at all and would pass since I know I never had TB in my entire life. But I was wrong! St. Lukes did xray me twice same day during my medical, back and front (there's a terminology for the front but I forgot) for the reason that they have found something suspicious and abnormality in my xray. They found fibrosis on it according to the doctors therefore I had to underwent the three days SPUTUM test. I felt so devastated and could not help myself but cried! However, we felt so relieved when the sputum test came out NEGATIVE. Right now, we're just waiting for my CULTURE result and hoping and praying that with God's will it would be NEGATIVE as well.

Although, I've got a questions regarding this matter. I was wondering if it's normal or required for all patients to have a second xray before they have to undergo the sputum test? The doctor says it is 50/50 for the culture result. In other words, 50% would pass and 50% fails. Is it true? And how would you know if your culture test result is positive or negative? Either way, would they give you a hint when you call them?

Last question, my friend is in the same situation as mine. Only the different is, she had a spot and even took the medication for TB more than 3 years ago. But she passed the sputum test as well (negative) and just now waiting for her culture test result. Though the sputum was negative, she is still concern that she might failed the last one. My question is, how many percent that she would pass the culture test?

Any response and insight would be highly appreciated!

if they see an abnormality in your xray, st lukes will let you undergo a 3 -day sputum test and then you need to wait 2 months for the culture results. you will be given a piece of paper with the due date of your culture and you need to call them on the given date, if the result is negative, they will tell you to go back to slec for the shots. however if you get a call from the nurse before the due date, then most likely , you came out positive and will need to undergo 6 months of medications. they will only tell you to report for evaluation and will not give details over the fon. since your friend had undergone medications 3 yrs ago, theres a big possibility she will pass the culture test after 2 months. my advice is: dont worry too much, just take it one day at a time. keep praying and trust that everything will be done in Gods perfect time.
