We had our interview on the 9th, but no visa yet, this makes me happy though, kasi that means she might get it sooner than I thought and I am hoping to fly her out of Manila next Thursday so she will arrive here in the US on Friday afternoon and it's a great flight too, Manila to Detroit, with a 2 hour layover, then Detroit to Cincinnati. Most of the other flights were with longer layovers and had an extra stop in their flights.

thank you! i had my interview on friday the 4th and it was holiday on monday, the embassy printed it out and issued my visa on tuesday 8th and forwarded it to the air21 at 13:40 wednesday and i received it at 4 o'clock today thursday the 10th and my flight is on thursday 17th.

it's okay to open the plastic envelope and retrieve your passport and other things but don't touch the yellow envelop. i saw my housemate when she got her visa and we open it up, except for the yellow one.

I've waited for more than 3 months to finally write this...APPROVED!!! NOA2 was received by my husband today. Thank God! Last week, I posted "DOCUMENT OTHER THAN CARD/TRAVEL DOCUMENT MAILED TO APPLICANT" topic here asking what that means. I thought it was an RFE or something else. Our I-130 was approved on August 17 but was returned because my husband forgot to change his address online. They re-mailed it on September 3 and he received it today (Sept.10). Thank God and good luck to all. NVC, here we come. Please be good to us.

wooohoooo! peeps i received my VISA just now! thank you lord and thank you all my vj fellows...my heart is pounding right now...am so very happy!

but guys, i am a bit confuse. how im gonna retrieve my passport from the visa packet? im afraid to touch it hahaha coz the WARNING! SIGN is pretty clear. do not open! and guys, why is the visa packet heavy? is it normal? haha! i can see some of our pictures that we sent to USCIS/advance file is in the pakect too. on the other side, i can see the "Immigrant Data Summary" and my passport, on the side is the "Warning Sign" with a small "Maligayang Pagdating sa Estados Unidos" thin book guide. again is it normal? sorry i know these questions are silly but im just so ecstatic and wondering same time if every one's visa is the same?

pls everybody help me! the packet is tightly sealed but the paper with the warning sign is not and the air21 plastic is tore up. is it normal?

lastly, i suppose how im feeling right now is not normal as well

Hi! I am just curious... bacause I saw in some post here about passing in sputum test, what is sputum test? When I go for a medical do I also go for a sputum test?

sputum test, you will be required to spit on a small jar for 3 days but only the applicants that has found something suspicious in their chest x-ray would do the said test. however this doesn't mean you have TB. only thing is you'll have to wait for 8 weeks for the culture test...

hubby and i just called the embassy this morning (my time) and the lady said our VISA will be forwarded to air21 this afternoon....during interview (sept 4th), i forgot to ask the CO if i can pick up the visa myself due to the happiness that i felt after he said "your visa were approved" and was hurried to get out of that "miraculous room" before he change his mind . so hubby asked her earlier if i can pick it up and said its up to the air21 if they allow me....well, yesterday when i called them, air21 says its up to the embassy....pppppp! i paid the fee delivery and we dont mind it, i just want to pick up the visa myself....

does anyone here has the same experience? im going to call air21 this afternoon as the lady at the embassy intsructed us, do you guys think the courier will allow me to pick up the visa?

i just cant wait to have it in my hands and fly home soon.

congrats in your visa journey...bago ka magbuntis dapat may insurance ka na dito...wow buti ka pa di ka pinahirapan ng CO...nung time ko di agad ako na approve kasi di naniwala yung CO sa relasyon namin...kasi naman walang chat logs at wala masyadong pictures...buti na lang na approve pa rin ako after almost a month...at nga pala baka di ka pa pwedeng magbuntis din kasi sa mga injections mo galing st. lukes at least yung time na di ka pwedeng magbuntis ipasyal pasyal mo muna dito hehehehehe...anu ka ber intials yan hindi yan name hehehehe. pwede ba pasalubong tuyo at beefloaf na holiday lang hahahahaha.

Just a quick question ... does St. Luke's take appointments still? Or is it strictly a walk in basis now?

I just called tonight to set up our interview ( Which will be October 2 YAY ) ... the lady on the phone said she just needs to go there at least 1 week before the interview!

medical is walk in.. you can go there today or tomorrow if you like

just bring your embassy letter and appointment letter and the money..

or if no embassy letter or appointment you can bring your noa2 and or nvc letter

with your manila case like sheila.. she just told them i don't have appointment yet..

they allow her to get in and she had her medical and we all passed..

so no hassle! just be there before 5am.. we went there 5am but long line na.
