  1. I can see it now...there will be a post here soon about someone having to do the sputnum test after drinking milk before the medical.

    And...here I come!

I had 2 tetra packs of sterilized milk few hours before medical and it didn't work at all.

Still had to do the dreaded sputum test. Ugh! :bonk:

  2. i guess opinion are not needed here but answers.

you are lucky maybe you have smart pinay? :wow:

You should ask yourself if what you have stated above whether or not is a form of a nonsense opinion before you open your mouth!

Also, it is not the other's fault if you are not smart as you're showing yourself so.

  3. I WISH NEXT TIME WHEN YOU ASK QUESTION PUT SOME DETAILS ..

Intelligent people don't need the whole details nor the whole diary so to speak for them to be able to indentify what's missing.

The OP stated his question very clear up top.

    Read the thread title itself!

  4. Whew! So, I'll be good if I'll just have the printed copies from the scanned documents right? I keep on repeating it. lol

    Thank you!

with that one you're good to go!

    good luck!

  5. We were told to wait until February 9, and the day before that, they approved our case!!! But we went through several process just to get that. What's important now is that, the longest wait is finally over!!!

Question: Do I have to bring the originals of I-130 and I-864 during interview? Like with Matt's signature in it? Or it's okay if Matt will scan and I'll print them?

This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. -Psalm 118:24

    Congratulations!

    Congratz!

Bringing a signed (by the petitioner) copy of the AOS to the interview is a must.

Bring not only the copy of your I-130 but everything.

Good luck on the rest of your journey.

I forgot that you're a CR-1. A scanned copy of the AOS will be sufficient.

I brought a signed copy with me to the interview just to be on the safe side.

  7. I was given advise to get one of these forms from the uscis website and have her sign it and have it notarized before leaving the Phils. I can't find any such form on their website though and the only similar form I found online was for tax purposes. I was told it was similar to a power of attorney but exclusive to immigration. I assumed it was so that I could submit forms on her behalf without spending weeks sending documents back and forth via mail or DHL. Can anyone tell me if they've used or even heard of this?? Thanks!!

    Kevin

its a DS3032 "Choice of Agent" form. yes she have to sign it but no need to be notarized.

  8. Hi there.

I think it would be more heartbreaking in your case if you leave your peristent cough unchecked, it affects the outcome of your visa application.

If you are taking herbal medicine and you are still coughing...obviously it is not working.

I can understand your decision not to take anything that isn't natural...but it may be time to find other medicines that will eliminate your cough.

There isn't any price tag on peace of mind.

Hope you will consider seeing another alternative specialist very soon, while the NOA2 hasn't arrived yet. Better for you to catch that early than regret it later.

Hello! Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I don't have a cough anymore. I worry though that the 2 months coughing affected my lungs or something which might become an issue when I do my X-ray test at SLEC. Maybe I just worry too much. I just can't help it...

For those who had an issue with their X-ray result, what caused it (if you have any idea)?

history of TB and if you had pneumonia month/weeks before you have your medical...however even you dont have these histories st. lukes would still let you do the 3-day sputum test if they found something abnormality in your chest x-ray, regardless...

  9. JAL - AA ... I flew 8/23. 2 - checked bags 23 kg (50lbs). 1 - carry on 18kg (40 lbs) I used a 22" rollerboard... and, you may also carry on a purse or personal item... (My personal item was a backpack - laptop bag)..

Not sure about excess baggage charges.

    Regards,

thank you douglasfiel...your reply helped me a lot.

  10. hi all, its me again...i know i have been already asked a lot of questions in here and many of you my fellow vj'rs helped me a lot with all your informative replies and i really really appreciate it...thank you all very much! :star: ...for the last time around, i will be flying on tuesday, the 15th and i would like to ask if any one here from the philippines flew on to the US via jal and american airlines...i'd just like to know if how many kilos/pounds are allowed for a hand-carry bag and how many kilos/pounds for the baggage? i was also wondering if how much im gonna pay for the excess if in case...

another q, there is an annotation** in my visa and immigrant data summary that says: 212(g)(2)(B) class A or B (TB) Req. of USPHS at POE, i guess i know what it means. im just curious if all applicants that undergone the sputum/culture test and passed at st. lukes has the same thing?

any response would be greatly appreciated... :star:

thank you tons in advance... :star:

Check the website of your carrier, they have it there the rulings about baggage limit. Or you can call there local office in Manila.

For your annotation, it's normal for those undergo sputum culture. Hmmmmm... should be... when you get in your POE, they will give you.. yellow paper indicating to go to the local public health for tuberculin test. Then, you will be fine because CDC might still ask you to have tuberculin test.

For my case, within a week I got in here, I have my tuberculin test. It's negative so I didn't have to go chest x-ray. The public health even told me that I am too early for the test because CDC isn't yet sending my papers to them. I said, it's better early than get delay for my AOS, plus I was told by the immigration officer at my POE to see public health within a week of my entry.

thank you for your quick and helpful respond adiiann!

  11. Ok......here is the problem.......Yesterday I sent my girl some money because I figured she was running low when I talked to her last night I gave her the money control # and she got all mad because she didn't ask me for any money she said that she feels ashamed and doesn't want me to feel that she is using me????? Did I do something wrong? I don"t know how to react??? I feel bad but at the same time I want to tell her just to take it and be quiet but not rudely!!!! It wasn't even that much just enough that she can get to the cafe each day and for her computer time!!!!! She also said that she budgeted the money I gave her last week so she didn't need it!!!! What did I do that was so wrong?

matured ones do not expose any particular things like this outside the ring. they would keep it, talk about it and resolve it only by themselves not with the whole world who are enjoying by urging one's thinking. grow up!

  13. Good day to all filipina VJ's, I would like to ask regarding the birth certificate.

My NSO birth certificate is unclear ,too much black ink scattered everywhere and can't be read easily.

If i will send the NSO BC to the NVC do they accept it and no RFE?

    Any idea are welcome...

    God bless...

i would suggest to get another one and send 'em both...mine was the same and i did send 2 and NVC accepted them without no problem.

  19. Hello,

I've seen mention across a few threads where ladies have said they were able to get their medical exam by presenting a copy of their NOA2 from USCIS.

Please if you did this reply here and tell us about it.

Specifically I'm looking for this info:

Did you wait until your case was sent to the USEM or were you able to go while it was still at NVC?

Did you call SLMEC ahead or just show-up with the copy of your NOA2?

How did you schedule your interview afterwards?

Any additional info would be most helpful also.

    Thanks in advance...

BTW, I'm the USC Hubby just trying to gather info on ways to shave some time off the process for my Lovely Wifie.

you dont have to wait for your case to be sent to the USEM to do the medical. appointment at st. lukes is not needed. she can have her medical with the NOA2 or NVC letter w/ the case number anytime she want from monday-friday.

you can call the embassy to set an appointment for the interview days after they received your file.

    good luck!
