    Hola a todos!!

    Quiero compartir con ustedes que hoy recibí la GC!! Estamos demasiado felices. La tarjeta es hasta bonita, y estoy sorprendida porque no quedé tan mal en la foto como pensaba, claro que la firma si me quedó como torcida. :lol: .... Bueno ahora si se acabó el descanso jeje.

    Igualmente, de todo corazón espero que pronto todos reciban actualizaciones y aprobaciones.

    Dear everyone,

    I got my Green Card together with the EAD card in the mail and this feels terrific!... the date on both letters is 6/21/10. I had received the welcome letter on Friday. Also, the photo on the GC doesn't look so bad, actually I am surprised it is a good looking photo!! :dance:

    Thank you all for the advice, support and for sharing your journeys. I wish all of you the best and hope to hear more great news!!

    I will also share my experience. I live in Minnesota and got my Driving Permit after two weeks of my arrival. No SSN needed.

    When I got my SSN I went to the office and update my personal information. I have been driving a lot, but I'm only allow to drive with an adult with driver license in the passenger seat. I should be able to take the Road test very soon!! They say that after 3 months of having the driving permit you can apply for your Driver License.

    Now, I am waiting for my GC to change my name on the SS.

    HOLA MUY BEUNOS DIAS , SIEMPRE HAN DICHO QUE LOS QUE YA NO TENEMOS A NUESTRO PADRE EN TIERRA CON NOSOTROS , SOMOS MAS CONSENTIDOS POR DIOS , Y AHORA SI QUE LO PUEDO DAR POR HECHO .. TE CUENTO RECIBI UN MAIL DICIENOD QUE MI PERMISO DE VIAJE FUE APROBADO , QUE EN CAMINO VIENE ALGO A MI CORREO ... AYER TOME LA DECISION DE CANCELAR EL TICKETE LAME PARA HACERLO Y LA PERSONA QUE ME ATENDIO , ME DIJO , NO NO LO HAGAS AUN , ES POSIBLE QUE TE PUEDA LLEGAR TU PERMISO , FUE COMO SI DIOS ME LO HUBIERA DICHO Y NO LO HICE , DE TODAS MANERAS SI LO TENGO Q HACER LO PUEDO CANCELAR UN DIA ANTES ,SIGO CON MCUHISIIMA FE QUE ME LLEGARA , ASI TAMBIEN ME AHORRO LOS 300 DOLARES POR EL CAMBIOO DE ITINERARIO.... :star::star::star:

    MUJERES DE TODA MI EXPERIENCIA CON MI PROCESO , LES PUEDO DECIR QUE NO SE CONFIEN MUCHO DE LAS RESPUESTAS QUE LES DEN EN LA LINEA 800 , PUES A MI NO ME SALIO NADA DEFINITIVAMENTE ..     HOLA MOON, DE NUEVO CONTANDOTE MIS NEWS ,HASTA ESTA MANANA UN POCO ANTES DE POSTEAR NO ME HABIA LLEGADO NOTICIA DE NADA ,PORLO QUE DECIDI DE NUEVO LLAMAR Y PEDIR INFORMACION ,LA QUE LUEGO POSTEE, EN SEGUIDA REVISE MI CORREO Y LA PAGINA DE NUEVO Y ME ENCUENTRO CON DOS COSAS : 1. ME HABIAN ACTUALIZADO LOS CASOS DE PERMISO DE VIAJE Y EL PERMISO DE TRABAJO Y 2 A MI CORREO LLEGO UN MAIL DICIENDO QUE MI PERMISO DE TRABAJO HABIA SIDO APROBADO .... .. POR SUPUESTO DESPUES DE LLORAR POR LAS NOTICIAS QUE ME HABIA DADO LA MUJER Q ME RESPONDIO A LA LLAMADA , ME LLENE DE MUCHA ALEGRIA CUANDO VI ESTO ULTIMO Y BUENO SIGO ORANDO PARA QUE PRONTO TENGA MI PERMISO , POR LO PRONTO VOY A TENER QUE APLAZAR MI AVION Q TENGO PARA LA OTRA SEMANA ....     Que buenas noticias, si ya te aprobaron el permiso de trabajo pronto estarán aprobando el permiso de viaje, o mejor aún la GC. Me parece que la mejor decisión fue cancelar el viaje, la fecha estaba muy cercana y fijate que aunque mi GC ha sido aprobada todavía no me ha llegado a la casa, en el e-mail de aprobación dicen que me estará llegando en los próximos 30 días, así que imaginate.

    HOLA A TODOS, SOY NUEVA EN EL FORO, LLEGUE A USA CON VISA K1 Y MI HIJA CON VISA K2 (MI HIJA CUMPLE LOS 21 EL 28 DE JULIO/10), HICIMOS EL AJUSTE DE STATUS EL 18 DE MAYO/10, EL 28 RECIBI LA NOTIFICACION DE RECIBIDO, ESTOY ALGO PREOCUPADA PORQUE A LA FECHA NO RECIBO LA CARTA PARA LA TOMA DE LAS HUELLA, LLAME LA SEMANA PASADA A INMIGRACION Y ME DICE QUE NO HAY NINGUN PROBLEMA QUE ELLOS TIENEN UN MES PARA ENVIAR LA CARTA, QUE LLAME SI AL DIA 30 NO RECIBO NADA. EN LA PAGINA DE INTERNET DICE QUE MI CASO ESTA SIENDO TRAMITADO EN EL National Benefits Center. ESTOY PREOCUPADA YA QUE PRONTO MI HIJA CUMPLE LOS 21 AÑOS. GRACIAS

    Hola Cartagenera,

    La carta para los Biometrics (toma de huellas) le debe llegar en no más de 30 días de recibido la solicitud por la USCIS. Ellos tienen ese intérvalo de tiempo definido y no se puede hacer nada antes de los 30 días. Es muy posible que la oficina local que está procesando su solicitud tenga muchas aplicaciones y por tanto no hayan definido su fecha aún.

    Lo que le recomiendo es averiguar si la oficina le puede tomar las huellas antes de la fecha indicada (algunas oficinas lo hacen), claro, puede averiguar esto solamente cuando le llegue la carta indicando la fecha y lugar para toma de huellas.

    Que el caso esté siendo tramitado en el National Benefits Center, significa que desde el Chicago Lockbox han transferido el caso a la oficina local cerca al lugar de residencia y el caso está siendo procesado. Cuando el Ajuste es para visa K1/K2 lo más probable es que tenga que asistir a una entrevista para que le aprueben la GC.

    HOLA MOOON , TE ESCRIBO PARA COMPARTIR CONTIGO LA ALEGRIA DE VER QEU HOY REVISE MI STATUS Y ES LA 3a revision DESDE QUE TRASLADARON MI CASO A CALIFORNIA , PERO MI CASO DE PERMISO DE VIAJE AUN SIGUE QUIETO DESDE ABRIL , ...UNA ABRAZO , BENDICIONES , Y SEGUIRE ESPERANDO MI PAROLE ....... :star::star::star:

    Qué bien! Esperemos lo aprueben pronto. Te cuento que permiso de viaje no lo han tocado desde Abril. Es más aprobaron la GC y nunca lo tocaron. :unsure: ... Así que no te preocupes por eso.

    Oh My God!..acabo de revisar mi caso online y mi caso fue transferido a califormia el 11 de Junio....

    Que puede significar eso????

    Primero que todo felicitaciones por completar exitosamente tus biometrics.

    Te cuento que es lo de enviar o no la forma I-693 es una decisión muy personal, ya que siempre existe el riesgo de recibir un RFE. Esperemos que ese no sea tu caso.

    También, felicitaciones por la transferencia a California porque muy probablemente no vas a tener que asistir a entrevista. :thumbs:Sin embargo, siempre hay que estar preparados he leído de casos que son enviados de vuelta a la oficina local para presentarse a entrevista por alguna razón.

    Muchos éxitos, esperemos que tu GC sea aprobada rápidamente. Un saludo!

    complaining seems to work for me too! I just wrote my post on another thread an hour or so ago about how I was still waiting and STILL racing Giggles and also complaining to mum about how I just want to work, save some money to visit her and then just logged into my hotmail to check something and there were two pretty emails from USCIS stating AP and EAD approved :D

    I know that this typically means my GC will take longer but I don't care because this means I can get a licence, I can get a job, and i can start doing stuff... i'm almost scared about heading back to workforce after so long.. wow. Awesome!

    p.s. Yes I'm updating my timeline as we speak! :D

    I am also kind of scared of going back to work again, it has been almost 6 months of forced vacations. But yes, it was about time!!

    Btw, I got an e-mail saying that my EAD was approved.

    Sí, mi caso fue transferido a California. Y también les comparto que nosotros nos arriesgamos y no enviamos la forma I-693 sólo enviamos el Vaccination Supplement que nos entregaron en Colombia, gracias a dios no tuvimos ningún RFE.

    El status on-line cambió a "Producción de documentos"

    Nosotros recibimos el NOA1 en Abril 16 por lo tanto nuestro AOS fue aprobado en un poco menos dos meses! :dance:

    Also, I want to share with you some good news, apparently our AOS has been approved. I got this e-mail today. :)

    Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

    On June 14, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

    The on-line status has changed to "Document production or Oath Ceremony".

    We got our NOA1 on April 16. So it took a little less than 2 months for the AOS to be approved.

    Nuestra visa fue aprobado en la semana pasada y estuve muy preocupado con la visa y no averique que documentos son necesario para casar con mi prometida.

    Cuentame por favor. Que documentos son necesario por mi novia para casar con migo?

    En la primera página del foro, Nydia comparte alguna información respecto a las cortes y los requisitos para casarse en cada estado de USA. Te recomiendo lo revises.

    Te cuento que yo me casé en Wisconsin, primero debimos solicitar la licencia de matrimonio en el county en donde se reside, para eso mi necesité mi pasaporte y registro civil traducido. Luego, con esa licencia nos casamos en el courthouse en donde luego nos entregaron el Certificado de Matrimonio (documento que se necesita para el Ajuste de Status).

    Te recomiendo que revises la primera página de este foro, allí puedes encontrar todos los pasos para el Ajuste de Status y la lista de formularios y documentos.

    El Registro Civil original y traducido es necesario para el Ajuste de Status y también en algunos estados lo solicitan para tramitar la licencia de matrimonio. Tradúcelo en Colombia porque acá en USA generalmente cobran más por las traducciones.

    hola Isi, muchas gracias por tus palabras. nosotros llegamos primero a Miami y luego a Utah, porq ahi viven mis futuros suegros. creo q nosotros vamos a tener una espera de 4 horas, pero eso he leido, q muchas veces ese proceso en inmigracion se demora y se pierden algunos vuelos...

    Yo creo que 4 horas son más que suficientes. Porque como dice Isi, uno nunca sabe cuánto va a tener que esperar.

    Yo también llegué a Miami, un día lunes, me demoré unos 30 minutos en la fila de inmigración y luego como 15 minutos con el oficial de inmigración. El oficial fue muy amable, me hizo algunas preguntas y ya. Luego busqué mis maletas, las pasé por seguridad y después las registré nuevamente para el otro vuelo.

    Muchos éxitos. Y que tengas un buen viaje.
