I just want to thank you!!

I just got approved today after my interview for my I485. I did it myself and your post explaining how to do it help me a lot.

      Good bless you!!!!!

      what you doin?

  5. Re the AR-11. That's a bit odd. I'm looking at the page now https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa.cr.Residence and the "if not a PR" box doesn't have an asterix meaning it doesn't need to be filled in. Are you sure you haven't missed another box?

  6. Congrats on your approval!! Now you can put all your paperwork in a folder and put it away for 21 months till you need to file ROC :D I have started an ROC guide but won't post it till it's closer to my ROC time (just in case something changes when I'm not looking)

  7. Once you move you have 10 days to file an AR-11 and your sponsor/s will need to do an I-865 as well. You can do the AR-11 online but I personally mailed mine as well with the I-865 because there are two systems where your address is stored and sometimes just doing the online changes one system and not the other.

  8. Having the DHS authorisation removed isn't a big deal but some people have said in the future having a non-restricted card looks good. For me I needed to change my last name as well and I wanted to register with them that I was now a GC holder. I would if I were you. It's not a big deal but just when you think of it.

  9. I read the instructions here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/n-400instr.pdf and no mention of a new medicals so I'm saying no, no new medical. Which makes sense because you had to be up to date to enter the country so maybe they assume you're complete now?

  10. Hey :) The interview letter you got is standard wording. just take a copy of everything you sent, and originals (like marriage and birth cert) in case they need it. Don't worry :) I'm sure you'll go fine :D

  11. isn't doing anything interesting.

  13. - there are days I don't have the energy or time to "pretty" my posts to make them all nice and friendly and happy. This doesn't mean I'm being nasty, it means I'm tired. I'm sick of people taking things the wrong way

  17. is back in the US (have been for a couple of days, just slack on updating :P). Not sure how I feel about Tony's friends knowing where stuff in my house is better than me.. /sigh, that's what happens when you aren't there when it's time to move in...

The above is the contact info, along with the operating times; however you may be able to find an IRS "volunteer" at your local consulate. Apparently they don't have chat or email tax help. Good luck.

thanks guys :) Turns out it's CA time and they open at 7am according to their website. My banker is asking for "proof of not filing" for me, for the house we settled on 21 Sept.. why they're asking NOW is beyond me :S Oh well. Ordered them now :S

  23. FYI to all my VJ buddies: Dad is doing well. He most likely had a stroke and is now in permanent high-level care. Mum's doing better dealing with it but it's still hard. Thanks for the kind wishes all.

How absent-minded I can be - I addressed you as Tony in my IM and forgot to glance at the "gender" icon in your profile! Won't make that mistake again; hope dad is doing as well as possible.

Next time I make a mistake like that please smack me around!

lol it's okay.. though I think you also missed the words under my pic "Little Miss".. poor Tony :P

As you may have noticed I'm often direct and blunt and don't consider the gender of the poster when I'm replying, only the message. Maybe I can twist that into a compliment, LOL. What you posted made sense to me because it made sense is what I mean. Tony certainly found a gem.

  24. got Vanessa's revised birth certificate so she can get an Aussie passport in her married name :)

  25. are finally homeowners :) 1 year anniverary in November.. my how time flies :D

I have my greencard now so I left after I had that. You will get your AP in 2 months, however if you need to expedite first you need to file AOS etc, then make and INFOPASS and they should be able to get it to you quicker. You'll need to take in a medical document or something stating your fathers ill-health in order to get the expedite. I'm sorry you're going through this :( I know it's hard. and thanks on the house :) Makes me happy to know we can finally make changes to OUR...

    3. VanessaTony

      VanessaTony

... house and the value increases for us, not someone else (weird.. this didn't appear in my last post like it should have).

    4. Breezie54

      Breezie54

I have a letter from my Dad's GP he emailed me himself, will print that and the email from Doc out and send with each doc, where can i get info on this INFOPASS? USCIS told me to call when docs are received and request expedite due to dads health hope it wont take 2 months as that is all he may have left, we had no idea his health would deteriorate like this, makes it very hard on both of us as Leo has to get aussie visa also and that takes forever :(
