    august 19 is the interview date i got today. i'm sooooo happyyy 51 days more to go 'till the interview....i hope they don't put my hubby in administrative processing as they're doing to other guys....god help me

    Received an email from NVC for the interview. It's on Aug 5th at 8:15AM.

    Congratulations to you both... that is so great....

    One more day to go in this thread....

    Come on nvc give us more good news...

    Aneudy, congrats on the interview date assignment! sucks that its so far down in August...I know you had been waiting, waiting waiting; at least you know when it is now! best of luck :thumbs:

    Was I waiting so long?... after I saw the email... instantly I forgot about the long waiting lol

    btw, which thread are the approved folks hanging out now? I dont think I will be following the July interviewers and will have to say goodbye and best of luck to my fellow June interviewers after tomorrow. This has been the best month for all of us. I'll still be lurking around though...

    Well it's gonna be so sad... not to see you all here....

    August Interview

    Hi all,

    Our case was closed on June 4th. I called NVC one time after the second week of June and NVC told me they have not scheduled my wife interview date.

    They said the Embassy was backed up and that we didn't make the June or July interview dates. They told me may be we will make the August interview dates.

    However, I believe NVC is just covering themselves with that statement. I have recieved the email today saying my wife will be interviewed on August 6!

    So, for all of you who is waiting, NVC works pass the second week of each month setting up interview dates.

    The last thing I would mention is not to bog them down with calls...it will only delay the process.

    Call once or twice because as you probably know, it takes several tries to get through.

    Amazingly the visa process as been pretty speedient for me...just make sure you read the instructions and submit the require documents.

    I actually wondered whether or not I was supposed to provide any evidence of a relationship with my parent... but I have not once seen anything that has requested it...

    The only thing I've seen is in the "interview preparation" where it says:

    Family-based cases: All original documents used to establish the relationship between the petitioner and the applicant

    I think it will help that I am the only person in my family that doesn't live in the USA... Mum, Dad and Sis are all over there... and well, I'm the last duck to head over...

    Considering they have my birth cert, deed poll (name change) and my mum filed the AOS and petition, I don't really see what else I could possibly provide that would prove I am my mother's son...

    Nor can I find anyone else in a similar interview situation as me that I can find any further information from hahah! Like you said, its not like my mum had me 27 years ago with the intention of getting me into the USA :lol: :lol:

    We have a similiar case.. my mom left a long time ago and I am the only son here. I have two sisters and one brother but they all were born in USA...

    The USCIS requested us a DNA test and I think there's nothing more to prove it than that.

    Yes... backed up.....there are a lot of people waiting for an interview.....

    I totally agree!

    Have you called a congressman?

    I did last Thursday and at least now I know Jordan is backed up, but they are trying to get us in for August. I can't handle much more of this!

    Tomorrow I will call the office back and see if the embassy or NVC has given them any answers.

    a least you have somebody to call....

    I just have to wait....
