  1. Hey Salam everyone,

I hope things are going well for everyone here. I've been trying to keep myself busy and get my mind off of the whole AP issue so have not been logging on much. My husband received a call on Jan 14th regarding his phone numbers for the past 5 years- we emailed them to PAKIVQUERY@STATE.GOV and referenced our case number in the subject line. However, its been 11 days and Islamabad still has not entered the email into their database as per the operators from the Department of State (DOS). Has anyone else experienced such a lag in the process of e-mails? Any idea on the average amount of days it takes them to process the email?

  2. Usmomo, I remember reading somewhere that when it is the fall season, the flu vaccine is required and the cost is additional to the regular check up cost. On the physician listings, there is one medical center that has an email address, email them and they will respond to you right away. When I had questions I emailed them. Even if you are not going to that medical center, all medical centers follow the same instructions and procedures so it shouldn't matter.

qhayder, I also got an email requesting information of my fiance's family (names and DOB), and a month and a half later we got another email to submit the passport. Insha'Allah I will pray that you will hear good news after this, and for all of you also waiting to hear some good news.

Thanks! I really hope that it happens soon- they kept his passport at the time of t he interview so I hope that it quickens the process a bit rather then submitting it. I will probably send the email regarding the phone numbers, its kind of a random request but whatever- easy enough.

  3. At the end of the week 7 after my interview i received a phone call from the embassy too, an extremely stiff voiced man spoke without any pleasantries simply confirming with me who i was and then telling me right away that my administrative processing lacks further required documentation ordering that i must e-mail my CV (Resume was the word he used) on the same day in order to process anything any more. He then dictated the e-mail address to send that CV on, told me the file format he wanted it in, and hung up bang on. He didn't even tell me what sort of a CV he actually needed.

It appears that 'they' (you decide who 'they' could be) are trying to find even a slightest fault / error/ or a minor discrepancy in our submitted documents to decline the application, after what happened on christmas day.

Rest assured my friend a visa consul officer is the only citizen after the presidency or the top ranked bureaucracy in the US who is not answerable to anyone, or is not punishable under any section of the US law in any court in the US or abroad for any decision he undertakes regarding issuance of visa to citizens of high alert countries. He/she simply reserves the right to decline applications upon his/her own disposal as and when it suits without acknowledging the true eligibility of the applicant. So basically however 'ODD' or 'Common' request he/she makes ..... must be fulfilled without any further do.

Mind you, DS-156, DS-157, DS-156K, DS-230 Parts 1 and 2, And G325A ...... are all Bio data forms in true fact containing our Resume' / Curriculum Vitae / Biodata ... or whatever they call it in the States and were submitted by almost all of us applicants already during the interview at the embassy. Hell ..... these completed forms even contain more information about us applicants than we actually even know about ourselves. So the question arises why do they further need information from us ...?

I suggest ...... qhayder .... put a heavy stone on your heart to quash the anger and give the embassy what they want.

Thanks for your response :) I see that you are still on AP- I was hoping that it would be good news that I even heard anything from them.... I guess I am not even angry about them wanting more info I am excited that they actually touched the file...something is always better than nothing...

  4. hey everyone- I haven't been online for a while- it was too depressing with the whole AP situation so logged in after a while. My hubby got a call today from Islamabad stating that they want him to email all the phone numbers he has been using for the past 5 years. Has anyone had a similar request? I am just happy to hear something from their side a month after the interview. Even if we do not get the visa issued right now- at least hearing something just calmed down my soul a bit.

    Thanks!

  5. well, my husbands ap lasted only 29 days(shuker alhumdolillah) so I had the patience to keep myself from calling. I was planning on calling once we'd reached a month and a half of waiting....but thank Allah we didn't have to wait that long. The interviewer at the embassy told us that if we weren't contacted to pick up the passport by a month and a half that we should call and inquire. So I decided to just wait it out...and ended up never having to deal w/ dos.....which I've heard is usually hell!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the response! The interviewer told us the same exact thing as what you were told- I can only pray that we are as lucky as you. We were not planning on travelling in Muharram and Safar anyway, so I hope before the end of them we have the visa stamp :)

  6. Hey Spec, have not really spoken to you since the ds 3032 fiasco...after seeing this topic you posted i thought I should tell you that my hubby had his interview last week and I went with him- we are on AP- it sucks. PM me if you are interested in the details of the interview...I really am gonna be praying that you guys dont have to deal with it- especially with how you helped me out back in the NVC stage

  7. the process was immensely long and painful- unfortunately it is not over for me. My hubby was put on AP- it was expected but what sucked was that he was so close to an approval. The woman taking his interview grabbed the pink slip and then another officer came and said to ask my hub more questions. From there we ended up on Additional Processing. I am reading stories about people being on it for like 33 months and its extremely scary. At least up to this point we knew there was a time frame, from here its the unknown. Good luck to all who have upcoming interviews.

  8. Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and prayers- I really appreciate it. There is no greater gift in the world than the prayer of a stranger. I came to Pakistan for the interview and now am planning on staying with him so that we can get through this together- the stress alone otherwise would just be harder on the relationship. All it comes down to is staying strong now and praying. It still stinks majorly!!!!

  9. So I just got back from the interview in Islamabad with my hubby- the interviewer was really nice but unfortunately, in the end she said all our docs are complete but the case needs further processing. She estimated 1-3 months and asked if I need the passport back- I left it there in the hopes that it might move things along faster. My poor hubby was in tears afterwards and I feel so horrible because he was really looking forward to leaving asap. We have a lot of stuff going on at his placce and we live with his entire family so things have been rough and we were really counting on this.

Please everyone keep us in your prayers. Thanks

  10. Hey everyone, hope all is going well. My hubby's medical is tomorrow so I hope all goes well. Interview is next Wednesday so totally feeling nervous and anxious but excited. Just working on gathering evidence. So far I have a joint bank statement, a couple of phone records for two months, 75 pictures with captions, I already submitted 2 affidavits, a couple of e-mails and I printed my facebook wall regarding comments about our anniversary. I do not have any bills or a lease under our names. Not too many e-mails either because we used prepaid phones to talk and you can not track them. I have no kids so I do not have that as proof also. The pictures cover the 3 year span of us being together.

Do you guys think that will be enough evidence? Thanks!!!

    good luck

    thanks!
