    Wow, got a flight from Manila to Chicago on Nov. 23 via Korean Air for only $685 including taxes! Unbelievable! Good thing they give discounts to first-time immigrants :-)

      Thanks! Yes, it'll be a meaningful Thanksgiving :-) The coming weekend after i arrive is also the year's biggest Filipino professionals' gathering in Chicago, so it's really a great timing for my flight! God is my Great Designer! :-)

      Oh, turned out that the original quotation for my flight was wrong, because the agent thought that a K1 visa is an immigrant visa, which it isn't. The discount is for first time immigrants. But anyway, got a nicer flight schedule with Asiana airlines for $850 including the taxes :-) Not bad, considering that I only have 1 stopover with waiting time of 1 hour, plus better departure and arrival times :-) Woohoo!
