  1. After 29 days in AP, our petition was finally sent to USEM on September 8th. She got a letter dated on the 17th that she was eligible to schedule her interview. In the meantime, I had already scheduled it for the 22nd. When she arrived on the 22nd, she was told to come back on the 25th because she was not in the system. On the 25th, she was interviewed but still no paperwork according to them. I had given her copies of everything submitted to the USCIS, so she submitted them to the CO but 2 pages of my divorce decree were missing. She was given the white slip requesting her to submit those 2 pages which both of us did and I have verified that that they were received.

I can get no clear answer to if they have our file from the NVC although it is my understanding that they only send out the letter when they receive the file. DHL tracking also implies that they did receive it. I can get no further information than to wait 6 weeks and highly suspect that they have lost the file but will not directly admit it. Our wedding date has already had to move twice, and this has literlally cost me thousands of dollars. My demands for expedite do to their incompetence have fallen and deaf ears, and I refuse to wait 6 weeks just to be told to wait 6 more weeks at that point.

  2. My fiancee and I have been getting the run-around with the USEM since her originally scheduled interview on September 22nd. She was due to be here with me over a week ago, but instead I find myself calling the embassy over and over and getting no clear answer on what is going on and if they even have our petition. Has anyone personally appeared at the embassy when having these kinds of problems, and did it accomplish anything? I am very frustrated with the lack of response from the USEM and ready to jump on a plane if it will clear this up.

  3. I would recommend buy her a Smart car or Toyota Yaris once she get her driving license. Riding a moped or motorcycles are very dangerous.

I would feel safer on a motorcycle than either one of those vehicles.

  4. Hi,

We just started this process and hope to MEET other people whom are in my timeline ..

I just recieved my NOA2 also we have an interview date on nov.17, my girl is from the philippines,,

hi! there...were on the same timeline. i already got my noa2 hard copy but my girl still did'nt receive her letter from the us embassy which would contains her interviewed date...how long did it takes ur girl to get her us embassy letter after u get the noa2?

K-1's have to schedule their own interview. You should call the NVC to see when your petition is sent to the embassay then call 1-2 weeks after that date to schedule the interveiw.

  5. Thank you!! I have a question...is it okay if i would not include my fiance's BC since i have his passport(copy) as one of my proof of relationship? i really researched on this and i think it's okay but i am still confuse...

    congrats

    abby n sheryl

It's best to have copies of every single thing sent to the USCIS originally in case they lose your paperwork like they did ours. I would also schedule the interview a couple of weeks after the call. When we schedule ours for 1 week later, she was not even in the system when she arrived for her interview and was turned away.

  6. I was told 6 weeks last night but 4 weeks last week. They lost our file, rescheduled our interview, and we submitted all the required documents but we have to pay for their mistakes! Costs me hundreds of dollars extra already, and they can't even give me a realistic answer.

  7. After my call to the embassy in Manila, I tried the NVC and got one of those snotty people too that "could not help me because it was out of her hands." I even explained to her how the process works of getting my paperwork at the embassy and sending out the interview notice only to have her tell me no then tell me what I just told her as being the way it's done. She sounded like an american too. Then I called the Dept. of State, got a nice lady that helped as best she could, and she definitely didn't sound american. I'll stick with the DOS and emailing the embassy as well because I'm sure "Tina" and I are both tired of talking with each other at this point. My fiancee's interview-mate/flybuddy got her visa today. Looks like we will miss the flight. :crying:

I dont know what to say other than my heart goes out to the both of you... stay strong..

Thanks! It really sucks being so close yet still so far, but I know it will all be over soon.

  8. I am not sure why... but the NVC doesn't even have our case yet..... go figure!

I dont know if this helps but i think they send them out in batches. The NVC may have it already but then they have to log them into their system

yes... I donno... its just weird :)

Well, this won't help you either, and Stephen - you should have told us!! They keep a record of how many times you call there!!! GASP!! I was shocked when I called last night and after going through all of the secret word verification stuff they make you go through the person on the phone said to me, AND I QUOTE:

Ms. Horst, I see that you called here earlier today at 3:45. Do you really believe that 5 hours is enough time for your status to change here with us?

I had received an email from a supervisor telling me that my status had changed.....that's why I called. They are a snotty bunch of creeps there. I miss USCIS people. At least they were consistent in their ignorance. NVC is a ####### shoot. You will get a different answer every time you call.

The latest today is they are trying to contact the embassy in BRAZIL to see if they will accept the k1 package.....I asked her to repeat it, did you say BRAZIL??? Yes....BRAZIL. As in SOUTH AMERICA???? No, no, no.....Brazil in Congo. (meaning Brazzaville, but I can see how you'd get confused about it)

    Repeat after me - DUMBASS!!!

Okay, rant over. I miss ya'll, everyone has gone away!!

  9. We know how you feel XR600SM, day26 @NVC for us. Hope they get it straight for you soon. how long did it take to schedual the interview?

You should be out of AP soon. I actually scheduled the interview 2 weeks out of AP, but it didn't do much good. Seems it's best to wait a couple of weeks

to schedule it then schedule it a couple of weeks later to increase the chances of everything being in order when you arrive on interview day.

  10. Alright guys...what's going on today?

Hello fellow March filers! I'm checking in with a "lack of progress" report. Even after my finacee's interview, our paperwork is still "missing" at the US Embassy Manila. My fiancee submitted a copy of my divorce decree Tuesday as that was the only thing lacking at the interview. I also sent it last night through their email contact form as well as calling the embassy. You can guess how that call went. This morning I found a reply email from the embassy :o . I was shocked that they replied about 2 hours after sending off the email. I only wish it could be considered good news:

"This is in reply to your inquiry of September 30, 2009, regarding the visa case of the referenced individual.

We have referred your message to the responsible processing team for appropriate action. We have also included your divorce decree in our review of the case. We have yet to receive the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)-approved petition on behalf of the applicant and coordinating with the State Department’s National Visa Center regarding this matter.

As soon as we receive the petition and complete the review of the case, we will notify the applicant to resume processing the visa application.

It is not Embassy policy to tell applicants or petitioners that a visa would be issued by any specific date. In fact, we advise our clients not to finalize travel plans, dispose of their properties, or give up jobs until a visa is actually delivered to the applicant. We are simply unable to predict if or when an applicant would qualify for visa issuance.

If you or the applicant would like to inquire further about the status of the visa case, you may contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center at telephone 1-909-101-7878. This number is for subscribers of PLDT and Smart telephone touchtone landlines with national and international distance dialing features (NDD or IDD access). Callers in the USA can contact the Call Center at 1-888-877-9888. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Manila time). There is a fee assessed to callers by the Call Center for its services."

This morning I called the NVC.....another complete waste. I then called the DOS and at least confirmed that they do show that my fiancee had her interview and I submitted the divorce decree. I feel that this should be elevated since they messed up losing our paperwork, and my finacee should have been approved at her interview, but that request seems to fall on deaf ears. I'll be calling USEM daily until this is resolved. My fiancee was supposed to be joining me in a week but now no definite timeframe :crying: . All of this after 29 days stuck at the NVC. I hope the rest of you have much better luck than us.

  11. Sorry about the AP. I know how stressful it can be. I also got the white slip after my interview last February 2009. The CO requested that we submit again the 3rd page of the I-129F petition. I submitted it to the Embassy after 3 days.

The next day, they called me and informed me that our I-134 and other financial documents were missing. I argued with him that I had already submitted the originals and told him that the photocopies I have with me are incomplete.

Anyway, I submitted my incomplete photocopies of the financial documents the same day. My fiance also made a call to the embassy within the hour that they called me. He told them that it is their responsibility to find the missing financial documents. He must have scared them because I got my visa after 3 working days.

Don't give up. Keep calling the embassy every 3-5 days. Know the reason why they put your husband on AP.

Who did you request to speak to when calling? My fiancee got the white slip today because they did not have my divorce decree because our entire package is missing somewhere after leaving the NVC (but we got the letter to schedule the interview?). It's there fault they lost the paperwork and she is very depressed. Of course she will send it through air21 today to be there Monday, but who's to say it won't sit on someone's desk for weeks? I won't to keep it moving as it wasn't our fault.

  12. Our saga continues  . My fiancee just had her interview today (25th) after being rescheduled from the 22nd because they still don't have our documents from the NVC. They allowed her interview today without the documents but would not give her the pink slip because of not having my divorce decree (that was sent in with the 129F). Out of all the duplicates of the package I sent to her, I don't know how that one got missed :crying: . She got her passport back. If I wasn't legally divorced, my application would have never even made it that far. No explanation where my paperwork could be being it left the NVC September 8th, or why she got the letter to schedule her interview if they don't have the package. All of this after 29 days of AP in the NVC. She is scheduled to fly soon to be in time for a family reunion. Seems we can't catch a break.

  13. can someone shed some light to my situation, my cousin had an interview in June 09 and he was missing his cenomar which we past along to the embassy after a week. nvc did not request cenomar for his interview. until now we haven't heard anything from them. How long does it normally take to get a visa as such situation occured

I have waited a month because I don't have the CENOMAR, just hang in there.

thank you, i hope we will hear from them this coming week.

My fiance just finished her interview today 9/24/09 and we too are in AR, very similar white sheet no documents needed checked just wait for additional contact, but she was not told the she passed interview. Air 21 tracking number issued but no explanation of AR. So my question is could this be only document varification or did she fail, I would assume if she failed the interview she would be told after the interview....Please inlighten me

As long as they didn't give her passport back she'll be okay. I had the same situation too. They did not say I was approve, the CO only told me our papers are okay they just need to review it ( but I know it was because of the CENOMAR that I don't have). They let me pay the courier fee too. I waited for a month to receive my visa.

I don't like the sound of this. My fiancee just had her interview today (25th) after being rescheduled from the 22nd because they still don't have our documents. They allowed her interview today without the documents but would not give her the pink slip because of not having my divorce decree. She got her passport back. She is scheduled to fly soon. 14. Even calling the Dept. of State is not foolproof. I called the embassy and got the run around, called DOS and was told it was processed and the letter sent out. Called back to the embassy the next night and scheduled the interview for 1 week later. Meanwhile, my fiancee received the letter than she can schedule her interview. Arrived on interview day and was rescheduled for 3 days later because she was not in the system. She already had her medical 2 weeks earlier as well.

  15. So after 149 days to NOA2, 29 days of AP, and finally getting an interview scheduled for Sept. 22nd, my fiancee gets to the interview appointment only to be rescheduled until the 25th. They said she was not in the system. WTH! She had the letter from the USEM which from what I've been told you get after being put in the system, plus her interview appointment notice. And you guys thought the USCIS was screwed up. Excuse me why I go clean my guns!

I hope you fiancee didnt have to travel forever to get the embassy.... that said... almost there... hang tough!!!

Rescheduled flight, 3 more nights in a hotel, buying clothes........because someone did not bring the extra money I sent for emergencies because "there will be no emergency". Really trying my patience today, but, yes, almost there.

  17. Just checked DHL...two packages were delivered to the US Embassy Manila this morning at 10:30 a.m. Goodness I hope our cases are one of them...am going to call the 1-909 number to see if our file is in the system already...hopefully I can schedule the interview then.

We got out NVC case # in the mail (though we already knew what it was a week ago when we called NVC).

After 29 days in AP, I hope ours is there too.

    It should be good luck

Well we were able to get September!

  18. Did you phone the consulate to make a appointment? Thats awesome if you did! Our plan is to wait till London gets our package officially, then we phone and book the medical, which is valid for 1 year, we have our case# for them, and then we will send in package 3 when they send us the "letter", i am tempted to just send the stuff since we know if the consulate has our info. I donno. So now my lovely man has to get on the ball and get this stuff going....oh what a naggy wife I'll be but I dont care...lol! I have it all planned out for him and so he just has to fill the stuff out and go do the medical....

I phoned the US Embassy in Manila once the Dept. of State confirmed that it was with them.

  19. I specifically asked them if our case has been sent to London yet, and they said yes it has, in fact, today they did! So I was like "YES!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I was on Skype-video with Nigel when we got the news, so I was bouncing off the walls!! LOL. My next step is next week call the department of state, the (202)number is bouncing around here or there i'll have to find it again, but they tell you if the consulate has received it or not. There is also a tracking method here too, but I figure I'll give them 3-7 business days sooo, I'm very very pleased...THANK GOD ! lol. 30 freeking days!

Congrats on getting out of that stinking hellhole!

Day 15 here... and counting

Relax....I know it's hard right now....but most of us are getting out at about the 30 day mark. In fact, I just scheduled the interview a few minutes ago. I'm sure you will feel much relieved in a couple of weeks.
