  1. hello, your fiancee can call USEM call center and inquire about your case number , be ready with the case number , name and bday of petitioner and beneficiary , and she can ask questions from them , it will be bit expensive , it costs 53 pesos per minute .

  2. OK, we got the hard copy from NVC with the case number that starts with MNL. Can my fiancee do her medical now or does she have to wait for the USEM to get our case? If she can do the medical already, what does she need to bring? Copies or originals of what? Is it first come, first serve at St. Lukes, or does she need to call and make an appointment?

Any info at this point is appreciated!

hello, she can bring a copy of NOA2 , 3 2x2 passport size pic white background ,and her passport ; she will have to pay 10,400+ as medical fee ; she can go there mon-fri ; she can be there at 6am though they start processing at 7am; first come ,first served ; medical exams for 2 days , hope this one helps ; good luck.

  3. HI there..this is as far as i know with regards to ur queries:

1.) NBI clearance: i dont think ull be required to secure NBI with ur a.k.a. coz as uve said, u were never married....so it should be ur current or maiden name that appears on the clearance/certificate...

2.) Other first and Middle Name USed? if u dont have any other first and middle names apart from the names ur using now..then u dont have to put anything there...just write None or N/A....normally and legally, what appears to be in ur live birth certificate is the one to be followed...

i hope im correct here..if not, my reply to this post is open for correction and/or any additional info miss "kilipit" needs....thank u

korek ka jan sis , at saka one more thing about other names used ay yung tipong kilala ka sa ganong tawag, gaya halimbawa ng "Erap" alam naman natin kung sino yon, o "Ninoy" o di kaya "Cory" , gets sis? Ako I left it blank .

  4. Ate Toni, I just wanna ask if you ever did change your maiden name into married name in your passport? Because I know someone who arrived here on CR1 who didn't changed her surname in her passport but she amended her passport though.

I believe that if you WANT to renew your passport then you really HAVE to attend the seminar but anyhow, whether you will renew your passport or not, whether we like it or not, we don't have any choice but to attend that seminar if we want to be with our SO.:)

Yep Diane,i changed my name into married name... :)

in your passport? :D I am sorry for being "makulit" i just want to clear things because how come they required me to attend the seminar first before renewing my passport hehe :D

I am sleepy now so I guess I'll read your reply tom. have a nice day te toni :)

Yes dear:) so i am officially using my husband's name..or surname:P

Wow ate! you are lucky then :D. This is the first time I heard of a Pinay that wasn't asked for CFO seminar cert. in renewing her passport. :)

hey guys, DFA didnt require me to attend CFO seminar before I renewed my passport from my maiden name to married name , and to think I have just been issued Jan08 then changed it to my married name in Nov same year.

  5. Hey everyone. I had a quick question I was hoping someone could answer. After browsing both James's and LingChe's shortcuts, both recommend submitting tax transcripts with the I-864. I was just curious--do these replace the standard tax returns the NVC requests, or do I need to submit tax transcripts in addition to my tax returns? Thanks so much for your help.

tax return is 1040 definitely you need to submit them , while a tax transcript is a proof of your current tax return , a statement of where you derived your income for the entire year , hope this helps , good luck.

  6. I am just putting together my packet to send to my fiance for her interview. I keep going over and over them just to make sure I have not omitted anything. I was told I should have the 1st page of my tax return notarized. I got tax transcript from IRS , so it has all my information on their letter head etc. They said it meets the requirements of USCIS, of course this is the Embassy (State Dept), so I was wondering if any one else notarized their tax form.

    Thank

it doesnt have to be notarised so is the affidavit of support , good luck on your journey.

  7. Hi

I am putting the final touches to the documents I am sending to my fiancee for her embassy interview. I am retired, I have drafted a letter with my own heading, stating I am retired and I have a letter from the retirement system that I first received stating my eligibility. I am also submitting all of my 2009 pension stubs. I have the last 3 years of taxes and w-2's. I meet the support criteria, no problems.

I have been told I need to submit the last 12 months of bank statements or a letter from the bank. The bank is not going to give me, and I can obtain the statements, most I have already, but I was wondering if I needed 12 of the last statements, when my taxes and w-2's show income for the year of 2008? I was considering just sending bank statements for the year 2009.

Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks

    Mark

hi, tax return 08 and w-2s will be fine , but since you already have copies of bank statements08 and 09, you might as well send them to your fiancee , just to make sure , they might ask for it ; good luck on your journey.

  8. Hello guys.... thanks to all of you! Got pink slip yesterday! :star:

I will be sharing you my interview experience.......

My interview date was August 4, 2009 at 8:30am. A night before couldn't sleep.... so tense.... hehehehe.... but i kept telling myself why should I be tense since our marriage is bonafide (true / it isn't fixed or what - it is based on attraction and love...). But then, you can't help it.... imagining infront of the consul.... interrogated.... heheheheh just a normal reaction or feeling....

Anyway, the following morning, I said to myself, this is it.... I should go there.... hehehehehe.... at about 630 am fortrose texted me that she is already at the embassy while I am still at seven eleven heheheheh having coffee... I ate a bit since I was thinking that it would be a long day...

At about 7am, I was already at the US embassy. The guard checked my appointment letter and my ID. And then he told me to proceed to gate 2. Actually inside I don't know where to go, but I just followed the blue arrow indicating for IMMIGRANT VISA.

Inside, there is a booth.... I showed again my appointment letter and then the girl handed me a no. and said to wait for my number to be called... that's the first step... I believe.... I waited in the waiting area.... and then someone called my name and told me to proceed to counter 16 for finger printing... while waiting for my turn... I saw fortrose ( I recognized her because we texted each other what we will be wearing hehehehehe).... at the finger printing....you have to state your name and your date of birth.... then the finger printing...... (there is someone who will be assisting you for that... so dont worry, just bring hanky incase your hands / fingers will be wet.... it cant be scanned..) After then, the one who assisted me told me to wait again for my no. to be called..... which will be the next step..... this step is the pre-screening step.... got 6045 no...., about 10 minutes my number flashed to window 25..... I felt nervous.... I said to myself, this is the beginning of the interview.... A Filipino lady screener.... she's quit strict..... she asked me few questions..... my name, date of birth, relation to my petitioner, where I met him, when did he come here, marriage date.... after which she told me if we have pictures together... so I handed her so many pics.... in a clearbook.... I pasted it hehehehehe. but then it is too many... she told me to just get it out of the clearbook.... so I gave it to her... after which she asked me if we have emails.... again,,, I had printed bulks of emails hahahhahahaha........ she told me to get it out from the clearbook because it can't pass through the window..... so I handed it to her....... (it seems she is so irritated hahahahha since it needs to be filed again).... hahahhahaha  after receiving that emails she handed me the DS 230 (Biographic info that we have submitted and let me sign the portion that wasn't signed...) then she told me to wait for I will be called again....... After about 20 minutes of waiting my number flashed again at then I went inside the room..... and saw a handsome young American consul (he is handsome but my husband is more handsome than him.... hehehehehehe  ) He greeted me "Magandang Umaga po" I also greeted back "Magandang Umaga po sir" I thought it would be all in English hahahahhaa..... I took a seat.... and he said to raise my right hand and asked me if I would promise to tell only the truth.... He asked me my name.... and then examined my papers..... and later asked. "Why didn't you marry at an early age? I told him... I haven't found the right man for me at that time until I found my hubby.... He just looked at me....maybe not satisfied with my answer..... He told me that I just wonder because many Filipinas would marry at an early age.... I answered again... that I haven't found the right guy for me at that time..... I wasn't thinking of age...... He again look at my papers and asked me .... Have you been out of the country and I said yes... I told him 3 countries and that I was there as a tourist..... He asked me again if I have a CEMAR.... and I said yes... I gave it to him... He examined it.... through that ultraviolet thing... heheheheh just like examining money if it is fake or not.... and after few minutes he stamped my papers... green stamped and told me.... YOUR VISA is approved"" And I said "Thank you, sir!" He told me to go to counter 37 and the girl gave me a pink slip... it states VISA FEE DELIVERY.... so I went and paid it at air21... which is at another booth....

After then,,,, I was so relieved! The first thing on my mind is to "Thank God!" And thank you all of YOU!!!

And to all who will be having their interviews.... GOODLUCK!!! And GOD BLess!!! :star:

    Enjz :star:

  9. packet 3 contains a letter from USEM about approval of petition and that you can now call embassy for a schedule of interview and medical exams at St Lukes ; good luck .

thank you forestrose for your response... now i'm wondering for the packet 3 who will be able to receive the letter is it the beneficiary or the petitioner? thanks

    the beneficiary goodluck ;)

how long does it usually take for the beneficiary to get the packet 3? :)

NVC told me our file was sent to the USEM last 31st of july, any thoughts on like an estimated time to get it? and NVC told me to give the USEM a call, can i learn on that phonecall if i can already schedule an interview or something as i think the letter from the embassy will most probably take sometime to get here, and may cause more delay

you , the beneficiary will receive the packet 3 ; my packet 3 arrived anout 3 weeks after NOA2 ; good luck on your journey .
