    Hi Guys. Congrats Karen on the approval. My husband got his work card in mail on Sat, but the middle initial in his name is wrong!!! UHHHHH. How long do you think this will take to correct? What a pain.

    Also - why is the EAD only valid for a year?

    @savaleta: I plan to go back to ss to as theres an error on my name, im just waiting for my EAD. its alright, youll get it in a week or two.

    so I checked my account online, my I485 shows up already! :thumbs: whats more is.. (drum roll)

    On November 10, 2009, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283

    Infopass for aos application & travel document

    I have never heard of anyone being allowed to file in person since AOS is processed not by local offices; but by Service Centers. Sorry you drove for nothing.

    Infopass is more for say, questions regarding the process, early biometrics, emergency advanced parole (which might be what your friend needed).

    My friend didnt need early advanced parol. My friend drove to their local office and applied for the regular AP not the emergency one. The people at the local office took their AOS papers and filed them for them. She recived the AP an hour or so after and then they went home. What would qualify someone for emergency advanced parole.

    That is really strange. Ive been reading AOS proccessing experiences here in VJ, and this is the first time I heard AOS thru Infopass. Im sorry too that you guys drove for 2 hours, that sucks.

    Just need to know if you included the I-693 with your AOS package and what is your local ASC office (where you will have your biometrics taken).

    There is a MSC number printed on the back of the check but the USCIS system says that it cannot find the case :blink:

    I still have not got my NOA. Is this normal ?

    Desi4ever, some have found that the number on the back of their check is a few digits off their NOA number. Like check number ends in 86, the NOA is 88 or 89.

    My MSC number on my check (16 Oct 2009) was EXACTLY correct. We have gotten the NOA#1 and the Biometrics letter and still can not retrieve the on-line info. I called the 800 number - they agree I am using the correct number and simply say some folks just never seem to get their numbers posted in the publicly available database.

    this is exactly what they told me yesterday when I asked why I cannot access my case number online, I guess i just have to wait. :(

    but the good news is i got my biometrics appt. letter in the mail today!! :dance:

    do i need to call and scedule an appointment or just go early i am going to prism not the cfo building i will go to cfo building after i get visa for stamp i need to know if i just go there early and does prism have an email address thanx

    no appointment needed.I did it as soon as I got my visa.

    I went to the prism office in taft, then straight to CFO, all in one day. I did it as soon as I got my visa. goodluck!

    @monicaolivo: hi, i know ur worried right now but since they got ur package and had cashed ur check it should mean that u got an NOA1. I notice that most of the dates of letter and check encashments (as well as mine) that its NOA1 first before they encash the cheque. I hope that its just a little delay in the mail. by the way, how come you can check ur case online right now? where did you see the RFE online? I still cant access mine, been trying everyday since i got the letter.

    We got a RFE: Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD

    That sucks!!!! oh well, not much we can do!...

    hey, sorry to hear that, for what its worth, I have a strong feeling that Ill get an RFE too. I just know :unsure: details when I get it. But its ok, just send them what they need and you'll be alright :thumbs:
