  1. Hello to all of my Beautiful VJ Family.. I know that I have been MIA but I promise I am back and ready to chat!!

I was not commtenting on your posts because I am trying catch up!! I'm only on page 10....

10!!!! Aww damn girl we'll see you in a month!!!!

Page 10...and we're about ready for (part15). :help:

LOL, I know I have been there trying to play catch up plenty of times. I think someone just gave a recap about 10 or so pages back.

  2. [quote

Does anyone have a Verizon home phone?? I heard from someone that for 19.99 a month you can get 500 minutes. I'm not sure if that is true but worth checking it out.

I had Vonayge before and I hated them. My call always got dropped and the reception was the worst. I dropped them like hot pancakes...

By the way... Comcast has worldwide minutes that include JA for $14.95/month you get 300 minutes - but they are only to landlines.

I don't think I even know anyone in JA with a landline phone...

Ha, true. My digicel sim card, I think is registered as a landline (IDK, ordered it offline from Telestial) but with one of the calling cards I use (TelePlus Platinum) I can track the calls and charges online and whenever my kids call my phone there I noticed it only costs .075/min. I just told A I’m ordering him a new chip and bringing it when I come this time because even though we have the digicel international it’ll still save me for when I call him. 7 cents a minutes he says, "that's reasonable."

  3. OMG!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are reading my mind. My MIL in Jamaica has diabetes with high blood pressure. She worsened over the past few days not eating just lying in bed due to weakness. She will prolly have to be admitted to the hospital as I am typing. Which one is worse type 1 or 2. She does not have to take insulin just pills which one is that? My gf's mother lost 2 toes and is totally blind from diabetes or sugar(thats what they call it in Ja). Please keep my MIL in ur prayers :(:(

She is definitely in my prayers. My ex-FIL has it and is legally blind. He doesn't take care of himself correctly. My mother's best friend's daughter has it too and she has had several comas...blindness and total kidney failure. Diabetes is serious and very dangerous.

One of my very dear associate pastors had to have both his legs amputated and last year he passed away and then one of the little girls in my son's school slipped into a coma and passed away because they did not take care of themselves correctly. It is very serious and dangerous but I think gestational diabetes can be more easily controlled if you know you are at risk so I'm glad you are paying attention to the possibility and taking preventative methods.

1luv your MIL is in my prayers. (F)

    Hi All!

I am home  and back at work! The trip was good - will give more details later on, right now I have a zillion things to catch up on -

Welcome back, Sus! Looking forward to hearing the good news.

  4. Yankeesgirl - The Hotel Gloriana - When my auntie got married last year some of my family stayed there so I’m a little familiar with it. I thought it was a little too far walking back at night from M’ville (and then they walked back one night from Pier One) but it was a lot of us so it was ok. Overall I liked it (not a five star) but thought it was something I wanted to try out on one of my return trips and maybe reserve a block of rooms for family to stay again for my wedding. But I have read so many bad reviews that I have been hesitant. So you would recommend staying here?

Check Shrewgal always - she is a BIG fan of the place - she'll give you a review.

    Ooh, thanks Island.

    (Shrewgal pm coming your way.)

  5. oh and i must say thanks for the suggestions for where to stay in mobay.....me and richard ended up staying at the glorianna inn last month and we were pleasantly impressed......it was not a 5 star hotel but i was cheap, clean, convenient location, great staff, etc and we are planning to stay there again next month when me and my mom take the babies down for fathers day and their birthday next month......the only down fall is that its not so close to ochi and i didnt get to see anyone last time i visited......i think we are going to take one day this trip and spend the day in ochi so the family can see the babies

Glorainna huhhhhh I know where that is…(sniff sniff)

DaDa - don’t mean to add to your sniffles :( but you’re a Mobay girl, would you recommend it? Have you ever stayed at Toby’s?

  6. I would have loved to have had twins. Twins run in my family but for some reason the woman in my family haven’t been able to carry them. We always seem to lose them at about 9wks. So far, 5 sets have been conceived but only my cousin’s wife was able to carry their identical twin girls (now 3yo) to term, she delivered at 37wks. They are sooooo adorable.

  7. Awwwww, Congratulations Booty!!! :star::star:

Your babies’ names are beautiful. Your story and the NICU photos brought tears to my eyes due to all of the memories I have from when I delivered my daughter 10 wks premature. She stayed in the NICU 6 weeks (and the NICU nurses there were absolutely wonderful) but other than being 3 lbs 1oz at birth she was totally healthy. Still it was a horrifying experience going through it. When they decided that she would have to be delivered so early, I was a wreck with worry. Now with her just turning 6 (May 19th), looking back at the NICU pictures I can’t even believe how small she was and all that she had to overcome on her own though she seemed so fragile. Preemies truly are fighters.

Glad you and your boys are doing well. Hope their stay in the NICU is a short one. :luv:

  8. Roxie....they probably didn't realize that it wasn't normal to not take that long.

all you ever hear about the process is about how long it take..yadda yadda yadda...so some people just wait. :clock:

This person has been in and out on this site and other site all along the way, a I-129 has an exparation date on it, she maybe just cutting it close.

Ok, since I’m back and forth between the K3 and CR1, I have a question (Nat, being the color coded planner that I am, I’m the one who’ll probably be a vet filing because I am trying to get as much information as I can before hand. Hopefully I’ll have all the paperwork together and files created for additional docs even before the wedding since I plan to file as soon as the cert is in hand.)...If the I-129F in the K3 process does expire, can you withdraw the I-129F and go with the CR-1 or is it that once you make that decision to pursue the K3 basically you’re stuck?

Jawi, my prayers are with you. (F) Since you have to have the surgery #2, hope finally you're pain free.

  9. Okay Ladies, this was not received by me, this was posted in another post.

May 16th got RFE in mail, asking for consummation proof. Now how do you prove this ?

    WOW....

You have got to be kidding me. ‘k, so now USCIS in the sx tape bz. :wow:

OK..ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS? THERE WAS A VISITOR ON MY PROFILE NAME "GUEST" WHEN I CLICKED IT, IT BROUGHT ME BACK TO MY OWN PROFILE...HILARIOUS HUH...IS WAH MI DO WRONG NOW

Yeah, I noticed this. It was the strangest thing. I’m trying to figure out how they did it because when you are just on the site (not logged in) you are viewing it as Guest. But how do you actually register as Guest. Are any of the Administrators screen named Guest, I don’t think so and then why does it just throw you back. Hacker maybe???:unsure:

Question: If you want to file for Jamaican son or daughter..is DNA test required?

i know if a father is filing a dna test has to be done

a nuff ppl life mash up because of that too

cuz you don't do the test till towards the end of the process after fees pay and everything

imagine paying all that money only to find out the pikney a nuh yours! haha

I can't imagine - not just the money but the emotional heartbreak as well.

    Wa'pen TL;

At our interview we saw a father and son who were so closed (little boy must have been 8 years old)...the father found out at the interview that the little boy was not his and the interview ended there, they CO kept talking, but he didn't respond he just sat back down and cried, it broke my heart. The little boy kept saying, daddy what's wrong and the man said, nothing, son let's go catch a movie. I got up and gave the man a hug and he said thank you. I just didn't know what to say.

Oh man, that is not the way to find out…and the little boy.
