  1. There is a yahoo group called, American Women Living in Morocco. From what I remember, several of the ladies live in Casablanca. Some get together weekly for coffee, breakfast, etc. If you don't have one already, you'd just sent up a yahoo email, then search the groups for that, and then join.

Many of them have had experience on what you need to bring, what can be easily found there, what's more expensive here vs. there, etc.

    Good Luck.

 Very excited about that!!! My problem is getting my 4yr old to realize that she can't take every single toy in her room...lol

  2. Time for alot of things........oh I seriously don't know where to start!

I was at the grocery store last weekend and I picked up a box of Lipton tea bags....I started to shake and hyperventilate! It hit me that he would be DRINKING that tea!

Awwww...I am ao happy for you both :) Its crazy how the little things mean so much when it involves the one you love :)

  3. Hey everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself to the crew! Im still figuring out how to write up my timeline but the received my I-129F on Dec. 14, so Im right there with y'all!

We shouldn't have to do anything else though from the US correct? Im getting ready to go be with my fiance in Kenya for 3 months so I just wanted to make extra sure Im not going to miss something important!

Sure I'll have more questions down the road as well!

    Good luck and take care!

From what I understand your fiance also needs the NOA2 for the interview, which you receive after the 129-F is approved here in the US...correct me others if this is wrong :) So if you have someone who can send it to you if you are leaving soon :) Best of luck.

  4. The word in MENA at the tiime was to have a planned date in mind for both the interview and the border patrol. We put our planned date along with print outs from the place we planned to honeymoon with the petition, and then we had a fairly firm date when he entered the US.

Venusfire: sadly you ARE trying to prove that. But I liked the way you put it.

Great...thanks for all the help...I just wanna be safe not to mess things up...lol...I'm probably worrying for nothing, butthat's my motto

  5. I've heard that some people are asked about when the wedding with be, during the K1 interview. If you have a date planned (hoped for) should you mention it, or just say as soon as we get the visa?? Whats everyones opinion around this...it seems like little things are getting denials in Casathese days...or for no reason at all.

  6. waiting....waiting....waiting......tick tock goes the clock

    J (F)

the dreaded waiting...wish the clock could tick a little faster...lol I'm still wondering if it's a good thing that i can check the status of our cas now...lol...now i can't stay of the site...watched pot never boils though right? Atleast we all have eachother to babble with...since i know my family doesn't want to hear another word about Hicham..

  7. Have you thought about possibly moving there for some time? That would help to build your case if it's a possibility for you.

So spending as much time with him in Morocco will help?? I am moving with my daughter end of Feb till Aug...wanting to make sure this won't hurt us for any reason...I'm getting nervous now, since it seemed like this was going to be a no doubts case. Guess we will just go & whatever happens, happens.

  8. Do they look down on a long email, or should I just be short. Being too organized and detailed is what got us in trouble. But I don't feel this is the time to hide how I feel, and how I hope they can give us another chance. Any advice on this? Thanks in advance

So you can get in trouble for being too organized??? I'm so confused now. I just sent mine in 12/28...now i'm second guessing what i sent. Any tips or pointers would be great...and inshallah your case will stay in Casa & get figured out. Thanks for keeping us up to date on whats been going on.

  9. It does count as a touch.

Nothing short of no internet access will stop my browser from heading to the USCIS website to check the case...What can I say -- I am an instant gratification kinda girl :innocent: :innocent:

I completely agree...lol And I just read a denial out of CASA with a couple who thought there would be no problems...sent tons of evidence & the interviewer said they didn't like their packet...now i'm kinda freakin out...what didn't they like??? ugg And we r just gettinig started...hopefully I canrelax some about it once I get back to morocco...53 days left till we r back together.

  10. The only way you can see the status of your case is by using the case number on the NOA1 OR on the back of the check sometimes you will see a WAC followed by numbers...this is your case number. You then have to register on the USCIS website.

I spend so much time refreshing the page there willing them to start on our cases...I will send myself nuts I am sure checking the site every day  Am I the only December CSC filer who does this? Hoping for that small miracle to say NOA2!

AWESOME...I think i found it!!!! Im gonna check it out now!! And you wont be alone..Ill be all over checking it multiple times a day i'm sure...lol

  11. Well it's officially now...I'm parting of the waiting group of K1 ppl :) Put the box in the mail today...whew...what a relief to finally not have it here anymore....I was thinking way too much about what to put in, what not to, etc...now it's not up to me anymore...guess that's not really a good thing either, but...better then looking at the same papers a million times...lol I'll update as I get new info...hoping for quick, but ready for te long haul. I saw someone last year that sent theirs in on the same date and got a visa in May...ok..I know...I'm dreaming, but it can't hurt...lol Ok...I'm gonna shut up now...I'm just so excited to finally being getting this process started!! And now I can focus on getting my daughter & I packed for the trip back to Morocco...will be much easier to get through this process with him, then sitting here thinking to much...And probably annoying everyone with all of my babbling. LOL Hope everyone is having a great holidays!!

  12. Ok...First off, hi everybody...I'm just beginning the visa process & most of my questions have probably been answered 100's of times, but I can't seem to find them...lol So...I'm getting all the papers together for the K1 visa and am good with everything, except...how much proof of the meeting and relationship should i send?? I've read that you can't send too much to Casa, so should I just send the 300+ pages of conversations (edited of course), plus around 60 pics of the 2 weeks i was there, proposal & engagement party?? Also, I am going to return to morocco to be with Hicham the 1st of march with my daughter & we are staying till end of August, or till he gets the visa, which ever comes sooner :) So will that affect things, since I won't techincally have a set income?? I've read that Casa doesn't even ask for theAffidavit of Support...what's everyones opinion on that? Thanks for the help & any pointers u may have for a newbie :) And just an fyi, I'll be mailing the application out asap...still getting some proof together & copies done...but by the 1st at the latest.

    Thanks again,

    Monica
