  1. Farsider.....excellent post, and your examples are similar to ours...we are the same in lots of things, different in others, we all are attracted to each other for various reasons, as the old saying goes, 'opposites attract'..being different in some things keeps it interesting, IMO.....there is something magical about love, on how or why we fall in love....it happens, and age, culture, race, distance from each other, can all be overcome by love.

I am very in tuned to feelings and vibes, and I know if someone loves me or not, there is no way that my girl and I do not feel the same towards each other, its real and that's all there is to it.

BTW Farsider, nice ride, can't tell if its a Dyna or Softail because of the bags...Supgerglide? ....Hank...no prob man, hahah.

    Softail !

  2. This is a great topic (thanks OP)... and one of the best threads going on this site in a long time! Some real personalities have come out in this thread - lol.

For us.... yeah we've got a bit  of a gap age-wise between us. But we've known each other 4 years before marrying... spent tons of time together in the PI and even a few months in the U.S. We've met each other's parents & other relatives, & friends and that all went down well. We both dig traveling, scuba, Captain & Cokes & balut. And we can't seem to get enough of each other :P:devil::innocent::whistle::D But there's a lot of big differences between us too!

One of us is rich, the other is (uh... I mean, was) not  ..... one of us is HOT , the other is NOT  .... one of us is spontaneous, the other is ####### :o .... one of us smokes, the other a total health nut. One of us is an MBA, the other went to work straight out of high school.... One of us is really young, the other is really, well... not young (chronologically speaking).

So.... is it LOVE?... or MONEY? Do we stand a chance?!

CLick on our wedding pics link (below) & see if you can guess our age difference (some of you guys know us so... hush!).

  3. I have been called a wise-"something" many times, but man is usually not the word...

I ride a Yamaha Venture. I have been riding Ventures of one form or another since 1983... guess I am addicted to that V-4 motor.

Nice bike ! I've got a buddy who has one - it's a great motorcycle.

  4. . . .

You are a patience man, 2.5 years and this is her second time cheating on you.

There are tooo many Pinays and other women that would appreciate a good man and be loyal to you.

You're right to cut your losses and move on.

    Right on.

You'll get through this. The heartache sucks, no doubt. But there is good news..... hundreds of thousands of single women are out there! . . . looking for a good man to love & be loyal to forever. You're better off leaving the cheater behind. Good luck to ya!

  5. OP writes...... "I got shovked (shook or shoved?) and scared i know he hits me but cant remember how because im too shocked.. I got bruises on my arms..."

    Leave him. Now.

We all make mistakes... don't punish yourself by staying with this abuser. Things will only get worse if you do not leave him. I cannot emphasize this enough - even if the consequences of leaving him means you should go home -- get away from this loser.

  6. How long were the two of you together? How did the two of you meet? How much time did you spend together?

Yup - wondering the same questions. The questions might seem a bit invasive.... but on the other hand the answers might be helpful to others on this site.

Sure, it's possible that something like this could happen to a couple who have known each other for several years and spent a lot of time together - but not likely.

My wife & I have known each other for almost 5 years now.... married just this past January.... we have spent many months together over these years in the PI, and she has also been to the U.S. once and met many of my friends and relatives and gotten a taste of life in the U.S. There are no guarantees in life.... but we feel pretty confident in our relationship.

We are sorry to hear the OP's story - but like so many have already said, he is better off in the long run, no doubt!

Still.... it would be interesting to know the answsers to the questions posed, above.

  7. Please don't be down. There are many more fish in the sea (as the saying goes).. the right person is waiting for you. God's plans are sometimes hard to understand. .. you would have been very unhappy with such a heartless man. It is good you never left for usa. This is a painful time for you.. but you will win in the end. Good luck. I have said a prayer for you.

    Wise words.

You would, indeed, be very unhappy with such a heartless man. The betrayal hurts like nothing else... but grow from it. Be strong. Prayers are going out for you.

enough. back on topic please, both of you.

 Yeah.... so like I was saying.........

    Way to go Cardinals !!!

(Now they just need to get Pujols re-signed... laRussa re-signed... get Adam Wainright back.... and then you can expect to see the Cardinals return to the World Series over the next few years).

  9. Ok, thanks guys! Helped a lot.

As another possibility, if I marry her in Peru and apply for K-3, will there be any "proof" required just as in the K-1?

I am just making a guess here... this is just a gut feeling and a suggestion. I think it might be wise for you to marry her in Peru, when she is at least 18 years old. Document everything.... your trip (passport stamps - airline itinerary & boarding passes - hotels, etc.)... take lots of pics with you, her & her family.... and obviously you will need a Certificate of Marriage (in whatever form that comes in from Peru). Then, file the I-130 and supporting docs and go that route.

The reason I make this suggestion is that, in my view, once you have married her (and she is at least 18), and you can prove it with the Certificate of Marriage, then the likelihood of problems about when you met and how old she was at the time are probably reduced substantially, or eliminated altogether. Having said all this, I would still recommend you first consult an attorney for some guidance.

  10. Her family loves me as I love them. Me and her mother are very close...

And all this sex crime is really confusing me... Even with all the proof that I have (including her mother's letter, her own letter, her grandmother's letter, her uncle's letter, etc etc, pictures, airline tickets, cell phone logs, etc)... they will still think of me to "traffic" her for sex? Where's the logic in that...

I can see how you might be surprised (perhaps a bit shocked) at some of the advice your are getting which relates to the fact that she is not yet 18. Don't take this advice in the wrong light.... it IS a good idea to consult an attorney to make sure you don't end up in a very messy situation. I think the main message from fellow VJ members is... be careful. Take steps to make sure you won't have problems that can be avoided with the right guidance from a legal professional.

Best wishes to you & your future wife !!

be wise in your choices.. they are life altering.. INTERNET Relationship is different then in REALTIME..

you don't need lawyer.. just do lots of research in here.. there is tons of information from people that have screwed up before you.. so learn from their mistakes..

either process will still take time.. 6-9 months *average IF you don't make a mistake for the GOVERNMENT has a question..

take your time.. crosse all T's and dot all I's..

    Good Luck..

Excellent advice & comments.... especially the first sentence.

To the OP..... best wishes to you. Your eventual face-to-face visit with her will be exciting and, of course, critically important. Go into it with all your hopes & dreams.... but don't rely 100% on your heart... keep your head.

I hope it all goes well & you make the right choice of a lifetime!

Rangers seem to have an edge over detroit. I predict Rangers in 5.

Cardinals split in Milwaukee which means advantage Cardinals. I imagine it will take 6 games.

    Right on !!

    Go Cardinals !!!!!!!!

(Only those damn Yankees have more World Series appearances than the St. Louis Cardinals)
