Wendy and Scott,
I will keep my fingers crossed for both of you guys this week. I have been reading about cases getting stuck in AP at the NVC and the consulate....now it gives me something else to worry about! LOL. I have a good feeling about you two this week! Keep the faith!

I just saw a commercial for a new medication that should really help me.... They said the symptoms for VAAD include frequent checking of email and igors list; and logging into USCIS website a minimum of 10 times in a single day. Vias Approval Anxiety Disorder is far more common that one would think
The only drawback is the side effects of the medication... Headaches, nausea, insomnia and in some cases mood swings....
wait a minute.. those are also signs of VAAD...
The only sure fire cure is a visa in hand!
OMG Scott that is hilarious! I may still need that medication until Mark has his visa in his hand from the consulate. I just hope and pray that the case doesn't get stuck in AP at the NVC or the consulate now. Yours is coming...I can feel it!

Congrats to all the June filers that have gotten their NOA2's so far! Hang in there everyone....ours is coming!

4 Junes reported today alone, almost 25% of June approved now! This is a great pace! They dont seem to be jumping around the month yet as was the case in April and May.
C'mon Kim.... I'm feelin today is your day! did you get the email yet?
/quote]
Scott,
No email yet...still waiting and checking my e-mail and the USCIS site ALL the time! I will let everyone know the moment it comes in, I promise! Thanks for all the support. I hope to see at least a touch this week or next. Now I know how the people in May feel when cases with NOA1 dates all around them are getting approved and theie case hasn't been touched. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for this week or next. I am hoping my petition is not at the bottom of a box with a bunch of July filers on top of it!!!!

OMG!!! It was like 160 something and nowit's 98!!!!! Let's all hope for approvals in the next couple of weeks. The VJ Igor's list didn't move very much though. I wish people would update their timelines! Let's all keep our fingers crossed!

WOW! Congrats to all June filers that have been approved! The rest of us just have to hang in there...ours is coming!
Kim,
You could see yours Monday! or sooner!... I am so happy to see these 93 and 94 day approvals.... I think we will be seeing times shorter than that in the next week. If they follow the trend of previous weeks, we should see a few dozen June filers get approved next week including many from the back end of the month... I would not be surprised to se some July filers get approved this month... its a crappy rainy day here and I am killin time printing emails and yahoo chats to get as much done now ratheer than later... looks like many of us will get that christmas gift we wanted so badly....
How was the trip?
Scott,
The trip was AWESOME! I so didn't want to come home! England was beautiful and I seemed to fit right in with my new family. I hope that you are right about the approval coming soon. Next week would be awesome but sometime in October would be just as good. I try to keep positive and hope that we are not going to be one of those couples that has to wait forever waiting on the NOA2. It is a dreary day here in Alabama too but at least is not so hot today. I am just killing a bit of time until I meet my sweetie online on Skype for our date. I too hope we all get the Christmas gift that we all want most. Mark is coming back over in November for a visit so at leas I will get to see him again. Hang in there Scott! Know that we are all here waiting with you! Thanks again for doing all that statistical analysis for all of us!!

OMG ScottThuy...I hope you are right! I would be happy with an NOA in hand by October. September would be better though with an interview a the emabssy in Dec!!! I so want my sweetie to get here by his birthday in January. That way he could help me with our wedding. Thanks for all your hard work deciphering the statistics! we all really apprecite you!
Kimberly
I have been doing Data analysis so long that its difficult to not do it... I hate the waiting aspect of this journey... I worry about Thuy every day as there are serious health concerns associated with her not being able to come here now... In many places around the world, the flu can be a death sentence... Not that we have the best health care in the world here.. its better than where she is... I couldnt count how often I check Berkeley.. and yes I actually check USCIS everyday just in case I hit the lotto. I am glad I have hobbies to keep my mind occupied...
What do you think the next posted VSC processing Time/date will be in two weeks?
My Guess is Apr 22
That sounds about right. Are you getting this data from Berkley and VJ's Igor's list? Or does the USCIS site have the approval dates listed by NOA1 somewhere?

Got notice from USPS that the package got there today!
Oh man. I'm at work right now (I work with sick/premature infants) and it has been a busy night! I've been here for 4 hours and this is the first chance I've gotten to sit down.
I've been working a ton of overtime lately in order to help pay for visa/wedding stuff. We're hoping to get married next August or September, depending on USCIS processing.
B&C: What does your gf teach in China?
I am a June filer, but also am a NICU nurse. I love my job. We have been busy too! Good luck on your journey!

Scott;
Bless you for optimism.
Of the last 20 approvals, only 7 were after Apr 7. In addition to the unapproved June filers, we have all the folks that add to the time lines late. I agree there were approx. 150 approvals last month but my place on the list did not more anywhere near that much. I hope for Sept also but October is much more realistic for most of us. That is still better than November, the USCIS estimate of 5 months.
It hasn't been that long since they were pumping them out in less than 90 days at VSC... if they got their act together they could do it again. CSC is around 90 days now... why not VSC....

I was messaging another member and thought I would share this information with others on here that could benefit as well.
"I was having trouble texting my girlfriend with my phone (sometimes they would not go through) and it cost .25 each one so it started to add up, and phone calls were too expensive. I used Skype before to talk with some other friends I had in Thailand, it was pretty cool you could make a phone call through it for free. The free part was limited for computer to computer if you are both using Skype, but then I found out you could pay to make calls and texts to landlines or cell phones. The rate for Thailand is .11 so it was very affordable and the sound quality was pretty good too.
As I used their pay service something popped up about a monthly subscription in Skype. The subscription was only $5.95 a month for unlimited calls.... I was blown away. Then I discovered something even better, that I could use my cell phone to call with this unlimited plan (or landline), you don't have to call through the computer. What they do is provide you with a local Skype number, then you call that and set up contacts to call, when you select your contact it dials through Skype and connects you. So, for $5.95 a month you can call at any time and talk for as long as you want. Sometimes on my cell phone the quality is not as good, but I am sure on a landline it would be better (I always use my cell because I don't have a home phone). I used to call through my work and it was free (I work at a global company so they have unlimited calling anywhere), but I had to sneak the calls, so using my phone is way more convenient.
All you have to do is download Skype from www.skype.com, if your family has a computer you can just use it for free through their Skype to Skype calling (or they can go to internet cafes if they have one) and you can also do video calling. It's definitely cheaper than any calling card, and sometimes those cards have bad reception anyway. It has been a plus for me because now I can document my calls and text to her for the visa interview."
This is the very best deal I've come across to date! Check it out! Even free calls to India
which was for me very difficult to find. Now they offer free international calls to 60 countries with their world plan.
Here's the link: http://www.vonage.com/lp/US/searchgooglevo...CFR9N5QodV2X5Kw
You can also have your calls transfered to your cell or any other number if you're not home.
A lot of people here should be able to save tons on their phone bills.
Take care.
I that plan only for calls to landlines? My fiance uses his cell phone to call me and I use my cell phone. He has a plan in the UK through his cell phone company that gives him 2000 minutes for 15 pounds a month. When we talk for hours it is usually on the computer thru Skype. I have a world connect plan thru my cell phone comany that is $4.99/mo but calls to mobile phones is still $.28/min. Was just wondering about the moblie to mobile on Skype to go.
Thanks, Kimberly

Nope, the employment status of the K-1 applicant (beneficiary) matters not a whit.
Thanks so much for te quick reply!

Hey everyone! Not sure if I am posting this in the right area but I am sure it will get moved if it is not. I am a June VSC filer that will have her foreign fiance interviewing in London hopefully by the end of the year (fingers crossed). I have a question about income. I am the USC and make well above the poverty line here in the US so the affidavit of support should not be a problem, but my fiance was made redundant (laid off) in March and has not been able to find a job since then. The UK economy is worse off than ours at the moment, at least where he lives. If he is still unemployed when he interviews in London, will this affect him getting his visa? He is planning on going back to school when he comes over after we get married so he will have more options for work after he get here. He just wanted to me to check with all of you about still being unemployed in the UK when his interview in London comes up. Thanks a bunch!

Just saying hi as I haven't been here in a long time and nothing has moved with our case.
Hopefully things will start moving soon
Hopefully things at VSC will continue to move along quickly. I hope that Mark will have his interview and medical in London by January so we can get married in March. I have heard that the NVC puts London people in AP alot as not to overwhelm the embassy with too many applicants at once. I hope this is not true. I know we are all fairly early in our journeys but OMG the waiting is soooo NOT fun! I just came back from England where I met my new family to be. Mark was going to try to come over for Christmas but I think we are going to move that up to mid November in case he will be inerviewing in London around the holidays (fingers crossed). Plus the flight are much cheaper in November than around the Christmas holidays. Hope everyone here is hanging in there. I am so thankful to everyone for their support. I could not bear the waiting without all of you!

Anyone who filed in mid June - I hope we all have our visas by Christmas! here's to hoping!!
Would that not be the greatest Christmas present EVER!!!

Good Luck to all the June '09 Filers!
I was a June '08 filer and I made it through. There was a huge slowdown last year around June for Vermont and it looks like it's happening again. We all got our approvals around October last year.
Try to stay positive and know that you are almost there!!
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I know we are all anxious to be with the ones we love and October is my birthday...it would be the greatest birthday present ever to get our NOA2 then!
