Hello, I became a member here way back 2008. I am now a US citizen and petitioned my mom is now a US citizen.
I have unmarried siblings over 21 yrs old in the Philippines. Is it best that my mom will petition them, correct?
My 1st sibling is over 21 yrs old, unmarried w/ 2 minor children and the youngest is over 21 yrs old unmarried w/o child.Does it slow down the process if my mom petition my sister and her children?
What would be the process to petition them.
Thanks in advance -
Hello, my green card holder mom wants to petition my 2 siblings over 21 yrs old. Both of my siblings are single, but my another sister has a minor child.
How can I start the process? Any advice and link to read.
I know it will be a long process, we want to do it right.
Thanks

Hi thanks, I tried to call and asked about the address because I went to a diff address when I had mine, the lady said that all seminars are held now to their main office.
Yes my mom brought it, my mom's case was expedited at NVC and transferred at USEM... all civil documents were submitted during her interview.

My mom will be here in about 2 weeks, does my 58 yo mom needs to have CFO sticker to her passport before she can fly here? If so, does anyone here has information how to get it? Thanks
-
By the way my mom is 58 yo, thanks
-
My mom is schedule to fly in two weeks....
Does my mom needs CFO sticker before she can have her flight? If so, how can she get it? Thanks
-
Hi, just want to ask if my mother needs to do something or pay before my mom's flight at the end this month? I already paid the USCiS the a amount of $165 . Is my mom good to go? Thanks

Congratulations to you and to your mom!
Would you like to update your timeline? I can do it for you too if you don't mind .
Yes if you can do it for me, that would be great. Thanks

Hi everyone,
I hope you are doing well.
My NOA2 just got approved 2-6-14, I would like to ask two questions .
1- I expedited my application 2 weeks ago , therefore my NOA1 stayed only 6 weeks in NSC . Will they expedite sending my file to NVC ?
2- I dont have all the civli documents ( for my dad ) , however I would like to do 864 first. Then ship the civil documents later with form 260 . Is that ok?
I just want to process 864 as soon as possible, any thoughts on these 2 points.
Thank you [/quote
Answer
1. You have to request another expedite process at NVC
2. There are instances that after they approved the expedite request at NVC they immediately forwarded the case at the consulate. My mom's case was forwarded to the Phil embassy 24 hrs after NVc approve the case. Didn't pay or submit anything at NVC but then submitted and paid during the interview.
But it's case to case basis I think or depending upon the discretion of NVC Supervisor, some cases was expedited at NVC but same as regular process but quicker.
Thanks

* I wanted to edit my post but I accidentally tapped "report"... anyways I meant "5 days" not 5 dates. LOL

OMG! I think I need a drink.
The NVC just sent me an email saying that my Expedite Processing application is approved..
" The U.S Embassy or COnsulate is willing to expedite this case once we have all the fees, forms, and documents. You can pay your fees
and submit DS -260 at ceac.state.gov."
All forms and payment portals are not yet accessible for me. I tried logging in to pay fees and possibly DS 260 but not yet ready.
KERRAN, JO-Bel, how does did it take until you were able to pay the fees and online forms to be available?
This is moving awfully fast. Thank you Jesus!
This is good news! I decided not to expedite mine at the Embassy, my mom could have an interview last Jan 7th. But I think it's a good idea to expedite it at the embassy because the available interview date this January is on the last week and then March.
Did NVC tell you if they will forward it at the embassy/consulate? In my mom's case as I told you, it was forwarded at the embassy 24 hrs after the expedite request was approved. They advised me not to pay or submit anything at NVC but bring the documents and payment during the interview. After 5 dates, I set the interview date.
As I said my previous post, be sure where to submit the documents. If it will be at NVC, once you submit the documents I read in one post (not my personal experience) that they advised to put outside the envelop the case number and for expedite process.
I guess it's better if they will forwarded right away at the embassy because after 5 days u can set the appointment and bring all the document and pay during your mom's interview. She can have the interview by the end of the month... But be sure before you set an appointment she should have enough time for medical and for you to forward all the documents from US to your mom. Be sure all the document will be fill out correctly and complete list of documents.
Thanks

Hi, as of now our case our not the same since your expedite request in under review. In my case I didn't submit DS 261. I do not know if I will advice you to submit DS 261 since your petition is still at NVC, as I said before u pay AOS and submit the documents be sure that your petition is still there. In my case, I didn't pay $88 and DS 260 was available to fill up.It doesn't allow me to do any of those forms yet. At this moment, I'll just have to wait until I hear from NVC if the request is approve of not, then
I will have my mom have her medical asap. Because from what I could remember, it was not by appointment, so long you have your NVC case number you're good to go.... In your case, what your mom will present during medical?
Can you please refresh me how to get an interview schedule with the USEM in Manila? Thanks!
Now, if / when your case will be expedited you can create an account and set an interview http://cdn.ustraveldocs.com/ph/index.html?firstTime=No or US petitioner can call (703)520-2235 8pm-8am M-F (EST)
Yes, the medical is walk in (they suggested 2 weeks before the interview but a lot dont follow it, but give enough days from medical to interview) http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs
* the cashier asked for original document with case number which I do not have and told her that the medical would not be released without that, so I called SLEC and explained that I didnt receive anything at NVC except AOS invoice which they advised me to disregard. The US embassy desk asked me if my mom already have the interview date and I said yes, so she said it's fine.
I think some had successful/advance medical without interview date.

Hi Jo-Bel
thank you for the heads up.
NVC have not told me yet where to submit the paperwork. They said mom's case is still in under review but, do they normally give your case number and IIN if it could still be denied?
My mom made an exact replica of the DS230 civil docs in her possession. If she has everything at hand, can I also send her the AOS docs so maybe she could just bring to the interview or WE, petitioners have to be the one to send it directly to the USEM?
S.N. (I hope its okay to PM you if I have questions since we are in the same boat. , thanks in advance)
Hi, it was the senator's office who contacted the NVC and I received a call from NVC but I missed it so I tried to call them back and told me that the expedite request is approved, gave me the Case Number and IIN
In your case, since it's under review I can only advice you to be sure where to submit the documents. You can follow the regular process at NVC but before you submit the documents and pay be sure that your papers are still at NVC.
Try to check if you can start doing the DS 260 but don't submit it yet http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5164.html
If your expedite request will be approved, it would be forwarded to the embassy and u can set right a way the interview after around 5 days.
When I set the interview for my mom last 12/27 the available dates were Jan 7,14, 15, 27, 28, 30 and then March.
If you cannot get an interview on Jan or Feb you can also email the embassy for expedite request. Be sure that your mom has enough time to have her medical.
Yes you can email me if you have question, my mom is still waiting for the interview and the embassy representative gave me the info that all the documents that I suppose to submit at NVC and payments will be submitted the embassy during the interview. Hopefully her info is correct.

I am still feeling so static about how quick the Expedite processing with NVC is panning out.
I sent an email yesterday for Request for Expedite for my mom. Mind you, I dont have the NVC case number. Only USCIS case number.
After less than 24 hrs. I got my MNL case number, PLUS my INVOICE Identification number.. and now NVC is just asking for my mom's telephone numbers. They need 2.
Tonight, I will do the EP Choice of agent and possibly the AOS bill if its also available.
Thank you Jesus!
Hi, that's good news. NVC might contact you. Same way that happened to my mom's expedite petition was approved 12/19
Be sure where you will submit the documents. At NVC or consulate. Did NVC tell you if they will forward it at the embassy? My mom expedited petition was forwarded 24hrs to the embassy after the expedite petition was approved. I didn't submit anything at NVC but I received an invoice to pay AOS but advised me to just disregard it. When I checked it was ready for inteview, I set it immediately. My mom could have an interview last Jan 7th but I didnt take it because she needed enough time for medical and enough time for me to forward the AOS and Civil Documents to the Philippines. I set it on the last week of January even she can have it earlier, it's so cold here in MN that's one factor why I didnt expedite it at the embassy stage.
Again, just be sure where you will submit the documents, every case is different.
Hope it helps

Thanks for the information,
Good that I was able to talk to the embassy call agent rep before they resume on Jan 2nd... Hopefully her info are correct. It's almost the same as the responds above.
She said that my mom will bring the affidavit of support documents during her interview and wait to consule's instruction about the fee, she probably not pay the AoS fee but to be sure just to bring money according to her.
She will also bring all the required civil documents during the interview.
She will pay $230 visa fee during her interview.
She also said to DISREGARD the intructions to bring the MRV fee receipt and DS-160

Hi, my mom's petition was expedited at NVC and I didn't pay anything or submit documents either at NVC. Now I already set an interview for my mom for the end of January. I exactly know what to do at the NVC stage but since I skipped all payments and didn't submit documents at NVC I have confusion.
Do I need to pay the MVR now?
Are the same documents that I suppose to submit at NVC will be submitted by my mom during her interview?
When and where I will pay the AOS?
The instruction only stated this.
Bring appointment letter
Your original MVR fee receipt
Valid passport
Ds160 confirmnation page
2x2 color photo
Thank you

Once the embassy receives your case, contact them and they'll tell you what to do next. You'll likely have to bring the packages with you to the interview.
Thanks for being so nice :-)

Saylin,
2 nights ago NVC tried to contact me but I missed the call, I tried to call them back and told me that my expedite request is approved and not to pay and submit any documents at NVC because they will forward it within 24 hrs at the embassy.
Question, since I never paid and submit anything at NVC when and where I will pay and submit it? I have all the civil documents here with me, should I sent it back to my mother so she can bring it to the interview or submit it there?
Thanks, so confuse about th diffrent process.

wow-congrats
my expedite was Nov. 22 but all I get is wait until after New Years from NVC after 3 calls and two e-mails.
My wife is from Iloilo
NVC contacted last night but I didnt answer the phone so I tried to call them back and told me that my expedite request is approved, I didn't do the request it was the senator's immigration liason did the request. So I do not know what will happn next.
-
The beneficiary will do so during the embassy interview.
Beneficiary will pay $88 (AOS fee), $230 (Immigrant Visa fee) and submit AOS and IV docs.
Thanks for the information.

NVC tried to contact me tonight but failed to communicate, I called back the NVC and told me that my expedite request is approved and they will send it to the consulate. He told me that don't pay or submit at NVC.
Now my question when I will pay the AOS and submit the AOS and civil documents?
Thanks
-
It's been 2 weeks since my mom's case was approved and I contacted the senator's office because she told me that she will follow up at NVC in 2 weeks. But this info came from her
"We have found that it typically takes three weeks for files to be uploaded to their systems, and that they do not take action on them before they are uploaded...."

Thanks for the reply. I should petitioned them long time ago, was not in the plan before until we tried visit visa but denied.
A lot for readings to do...
So if my mom and I both petitioned same persons we need to pay separate fee for them?
