  1. My passport has my maiden name on it, Im in the us now on my K1- I have my 2 year permanent resident card in my Married name. The question I have is if I need to change the name on my passport to my married name before traveling outside the USA? Can I get a US passport yet? Or do i need to get a name change from philippines passport? The ticket is in my Married name as well. Thanks.

  2. There have been a some people getting RFE's for it based on missing vaccines or things like that, but they have also been requesting it more now from others, so its possible you might get an RFE. If you have already submitted your AOS with it, you will know if you get an RFE for it when they start working on it, they would have accepted it without sending the RFE right away as long as your major documents are correct (the cheque, the I-485 being there). Please update your timeline, as it will help people answer this question more accurately!

I already have the interview letter, and her interview is on March 22nd. I did not receive a RFE, does that mean Im in the clear on the 693? Or are they going to deny me for not having it at interview?

  3. Has anyone sent in just the Vac. Worksheet for the adjustment of status, and has had an issue at the interview with them requesting the 693 sealed?

Is this even required for the fiancee visa, considering she had her medical just 3 months ago in the Philippines?

I would have gotten a RFE if they had not accepted it, correct?

I'm worried, please reply. If we need this 693, there a lot of hassle involved- and everyone here would require her take the whole medical again.

  4. Ok we have an interview date, so that means our paper work is clear right? I mean if there was anything wrong with it (such as the 693 not being proper) I would have got an RFE right? Or are they going to request it at interview?

I notice on this noa for the interview date.. it has a checklist of things to bring.. and.. I know that in the AOS package i sent I just sent the immunization sheet. Not a complete 693... but ive heard of people sometimes being clear on that? I think the checklist is just standard, not specific to me.. but it says by one of the checks:

"A completed medical examination (form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submited)."

  5. Ok so my best bet is send in my AOS now, with just the first portion of the 693 filled out and the vacc worksheet. If they accept it I save $200, if they do not I have 30 days to get it done and sent back. The benefit is that my AOS is filed in the correct time frame, and there is possibility that I might not have to spend the $200 for the medical from Civil surgeon if they accept (Plus I get 30 more days to take care of it after RFE). Right? I should do it this way?

  6. the CS will transfer her vaccination record from st. Luke's on the I-693. I had a TST and Td shot before going to my CS. she doesn't need another medical exam since hers is not over a year. I suggest you go to another CS if that one insist on another medical exam for your wife.

So she has all the requirements? Its just a matter of transferring? Yall can tell by the 3025?

I heard of some people sending it to this Dr. Arnold, some get RFE's still.

Ok if i send it in now.. with just Vac records, Im covered.. for getting it on time.. we have until End of January. Ill just have an RFE to deal with?

  7. I think this civil surgeon is trying to give us the runaround, saying she has to take the whole medical over here for like $145 or something. Just wanting to see if she has everything here that is required.. cause ill just send this sheet in with the AOS. And if we get an RFE at least it was filed in time?

    Instructions for transfer?

When I called them they told me if she didnt have the HIV, Rpr, or TB Skin Test.. she has to take it over again? She knows she didnt have the TB skin test, just the X-Ray. Dont know about the other two, anyway.. I was looking at the required on a sheet and it looks like she has all the ones required for her age etc (shes 21 btw). Hmm.. maybe i should just find another civil surgeon or mail it to this other guy in tx, I heard he does it by mail. What do you think?

  8. We are thinking of trying for a Tourist visa for my fiancees mother (to be here for our wedding), I am wondering how long it takes from start to finish if we apply?

I heard it takes 6 months, Is that about the amount of time it takes?

    Thanks.

  9. Ok my fiancee is having her interview in a week, Friday the 25th. She is just now paying the application fee at a BDO branch this monday before interview. Is that to late to pay it, does it take time to get to them and for them to register it? Or is what they mark on the DS form good enough? Plez tell I have until 23rd to re schedule.

  10. I only sent her copies of NOA 2.. also.. is the interview stuff required.. cause Im hesitent to schedule the interview until she has all the things she needs, such as this medical.

She has the embassy letter with the case number, stating that we can schedule the interview. This will work i guess?

    10,500 pesos

    black pen

3 pcs 2x2 visa pic in white background

    and snacks

    goodluck

I sent copies of NOA 2, that works right?

  13. What should my fiancee bring to St. Lukes for her medical? Passport I know, but what other information and records?

Does she just go up to the St. Lukes and check in.. or is there a dedicated line area/ time she should go there.. call to schedule or what?

  14. Ok, she hasnt taken her medical yet, paid the application fee, and her passport is ariving on Monday. Also the information I sent should be ariving to her this week.

I was going to schedule the interview to around end of september if possible, she would have 3 weeks to get her medical, etc.. Should I hold back getting an interview date yet until all is complete?

  15. I got the letter from NVC today, saying our case number etc. I notice my fiancees middle name was spelled incorrectly, the first letter is a M instead of an N. I called nvc and they said its already forwarded to the embassy in manila, I have to deal with them. It was mailed off on the 13th of August to the embassy. I am wondering what kind of process i will have to go thru with the embassy to get this corrected? Can my fiancee just call them with the case number and information and get it taken care of?

You see I checked my petition copies i sent, and I spelt it correct on all of them. It was an error on their part, it went through NVC and came out of NVC with the incorrect Middle name.
