Ok - so I got my fiance here - life is good. We will marry this month - but what happens next ?

I know we will do the AOS - but may take a few months now to save up the fee of 1010.00 - since I took a part time job making a lot less then originally when we filed our I-129F due to the down turn in manufacturing this year for the embassy part.

So as long as we marry - he is allowed to stay ??

Is there anything else we need to do ? His 90 days up is in January 2010 - we hope to file AOS before this time but just in case ??

omg I am so sorry this is what you 2 had to go though - and is insane - we too got the grilling - is so wrong and is more wrong they are playing with people lives like this

We are home finally - we got a "nice" surprise at POE (Houston) with another "interview"

After a 10 hour trip from London to Houston - we went though customs - where my fiance was questioned for 40 mins, then was walked out where I was questioned publicly for another 10-15 mins

Was almost a no go till I pulled out my passport and proved I had visited for total of 4 times and was over a total of 2 months spent together - was amazing to say the least.

BUT we are home

NOW hopefully we can take a few weeks breather - marry and start the next process .................

They said my file left today, but nothing left NVC for VN today.. I am trying to call back to confirm if it actually left or was just approved... IMO it either left yesterday or tomorrow...

I am really upset by the process and what they put my fiance though - people be warned - here is ok to have met on the internet - but at embassy is not so ok - is sex site ?? did you meet on a sex site ?? oh must be a sex site ......I can not pull it up this means a sex site !!

Was BS - he was told all our chat logs, love letters, cards, pictures meant nothing - could of been done last night - it was no proof

he was interviewed alone - then I was interviewed after him

I was not given same treatment and is good I did not know what he had been though before my interview - because trust me I would of probably been in jail now

BUT we received the visa so is all that matters

PEOPLE make sure you have originals of any important docs - divorce degrees ( both sides ) birth certificates, etc and MAKE SURE your dates match !!

Congratulations on receiving your visa! How soon do you leave?

am passed it .....trust me ...lol i just needed to vent - is all good - i cried when she said you will need this for your visa because up to that point was not sure we would get it.

BUT is over and got it and wooohoooo

NOW to get him over his fear of planes ...lol

we leave sunday for the states - have over night lay over in London so we rented a room and will have a good time seeing the castle and doing dinner in London

Good morning to all of you stuck in AP @ NVC - one month ago we were still there too. But we woke up this morning together in the US, so despair not—there is life after NVC AP!

We go tomorrow at 1 pm for interview - we ended up getting apt w/ bootlegged internet - am so ready for this to be done so we can relax and enjoy rest of the week here without this hanging in the air. We went to medical yesterday and was very easy took like 10 mins total after being called back and we were able to pick up results at 330 pm same day.

Keep us in your positive thoughts - even though has been great already just being here lol

BUT will be super with knowing for sure - we have prepped the papers we are taking, and will go over test questions tonight - so will let you know .

we actually met another member of the forum yesterday getting her medical done same day - she had interview today - so hope she did well !! She has a cr-1 in process.

i leave Thursday for Romania - we have medical on Monday then interview on Weds - I am nervous wreck ..lol

We will not have interne at the apt we have rented but we will find a hotspot and keep you posted

Ladonna and Crazy Mazy were right, that when the supervisor said "nothing new with your case" it didnt mean i wouldnt be approved the next day. And now we are out of AP!! They said it went out yesterday!! Thank you Lord Jesus! Thanks to everyone whom gave us encouragement and prayers. Wow! What a journey it has been thus far. And what a Godsend VJ is!

One more file out of the way for the rest of you. We finally made it out of NVC today after 33 days. I think I had written 34 somewhere recently but I was mistaken. Good luck to the rest of you! Hang in there, you will eventually make it.

I called NVC yesterday and spoke to a supervisor named Betsy. She said she saw nothing new with our case. I guess that was a "hint" that we will not get out this week. It's day 33 and this truely sucks.

No, Mari that's not necessarily true. I called one morning and they said "nothing new" then I called later the same day and they said, "Well! It looks like you're getting out of AP today!" The lady said it so sweetly and warmly, I think they really like to give good news. They don't try to be mean. It's just a bureaucracy, and they have to follow protocol and say what they're told to say. Anyway, I think I'll never forget those words and that sweet tone of voice. I knew that woman was so happy to give me good news.

yes I would have to agree with ladonna - i had called that morning and argue with them even over the fact that I had already been told I was out of ap just waiting for the dang thing to be shipped in "sometime within 5 days" and she said I was still in ap and no time frame.

But called on a whim that evening (I had only called one time at night the whole time I was in ap ) and the lady who answered was like "no.. oh it shipped today "

so think some are real slackers there and do not even check

I just ordered mine over the phone because I read that other post - I was not given an option to have them faxed. How or where do you get to be able to do this ?

I called the Dept of State 3 times - 2 were answered by "Jessica" she was very nice and very informative - I think she works mornings. As this is when I called and got her.

Another time I called and got some old crab apple that about snapped my neck in two for calling ( prob the same one ) she is nasty - she told me the same thing. She sounded like she was older. This woman should be reported to her supervisor.

Call in the morning if you can - Jessica is very helpful - or just asked to speak to Jessica.

This probably will be one of my ending posts here on this topic regarding the subject of being in AP. I say this because , as i knew it from last week, I'm officially out from AP.

Based on my experience with this unpleasant waiting period, i would like to make known for all those that are still in AP, that this topic is GREAT and my suggestion is "READ everything here".

Many posts that I've posted had a high accuracy, and i would recommend to learn from them. I put time and effort to make them easy to be understood, but also to benefit people that are still in AP by not wasting they time finding an answer.

With one thing i was wrong, I predicted that i will be out from AP tomorrow (Tuesday) but it happened today.

I would like also to thank you for all the people that give me they support, as i would not be able to get my self mentally prepared without them. I love them for they great mind and i wish them all the best!

P.S. I'm tracking my package from minute 1 of being out from AP!

I would just like to say to people still here or come after

1 - call dept of state - they will be the ones who will let you know your "real" status of your case - if you are still in additional processing - they will tell you this - or they will tell you you are really good to go - just waiting on the embassy ( NVC is like holding cell for the embassy when they are overloaded ) - this is what pretty much kept me sane during AP - I knew we were cleared

2 - Don't despair - I know it is easy to when you are in ap but does no good for your mental state - stay proactive

I feel like we should get special "bars" for our time in ap on here ..lol...is nightmare and is not easy ..but is the government..

well we only have pics of us and his one cousin - his parents work in Italy and were never there when i was there - we are both over 30 yrs old - hope this makes a difference
