  1. Have nearly the same timeline but how can I confirm when the Aos fee is paid in order to get the barcode? Sorry cant be of assistance to you

Go to this site https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/ to sign in and check if your payment has been updated from IN RPOCESS to PAID. Then you can print the receipt and the coversheet with the barcode that you need to attach to your AOS packet. Hope this help.

  2. The AOS fee has been updated in the system as PAID and I also sent the I-864 packet a few days ago. I also paid the IV fee and showed as PAID in the system. Per AVR, it says 'A PACKAGE OF DOCUMENTS HAS BEEN GENERATED AND WILL BE SENT TO THE AGENT'.... Do I need to wait for the package to arrive or can I just download the DS-230 and send all the documents with the coversheet from Department of State payment center? Also, how long does it take for NVC to review I-864? Thanks....

  3. I am organizing the documents to attach with my mother's DS-230. My question is, does it have to be the original documents or is photocopies OK and my mother will present the originals when she goes to her interview at the embassy? I have read other posts saying it has to be original and I am worried that the original copies will get lost which happens sometimes. The form DS-230 will be original of course or is scanned copy OK? Thank for your input.

  4. A current employment letter stating your position and current salary is used to suport your tax information. As in it shows you are still currently working and making a sufficient salary

It was necessary for us as your tax stuff was done in February and our interview was in May - without the certificate, there was no guarentee my husband was still working in the job outlined in the tax stuff

    Good luck

    Gotcha! Thanks.

  5. Been calling NVC for three days now and was told today that my case has been received to be in the building but was not scanned or entered in the system yet. One rep told me to wait for 6-8 weeks seriously??? I called again and the lady said to check this Friday. I just called again and was told to wait for 2 weeks. Whewwww I am just getting impatient now :(

I got my mother's NVC number today. It's funny because when I called the NVC number, I did not chose to speak to an operator so I just entered my CIS receipt number and got my NVC number via AVR. Then I redialed to speak to an operator to give my email address and my mother's email address. The operator sounded like Asian (more like Chinese). She immediately just verified mine and my mother's email address so I told her that the reason I was calling was to give the email addresses. She said she already have them. I remember that when I sent I-130 application, I put my email address and my mother's email address so they automatically added in the system. For those still working on submitting their I-130, I recommend that you create your beneficiary's email address and add it in the application so you don't have to worry about calling NVC to give them the email address for NVC communication.

Anyways, I am waiting for the DS3032 now and the next steps. I hope it will go fast from here because I want to go home in summer time to fetch my mother to come here.

  6. wow! u were ahead of me now :hehe: good for you! My parent was given case number on 17th of Feb, i emailed NVC about DS-3032 the next day so i'm waiting for their reply this week. Good luck to us!

  7. Yay! Finally got my case number from the operator. And she asked for our email addresses for both beneficiary and petitioner. Now, I wonder if its a go signal to email the ds-3032 through email to NVC or should I wait until the form is generated and will be sent to me and will notify me first?? I am very excited of the process moving along.pls kindly advise.Thanks.

Yay you are moving forward now. I am just a few days behind you. By the way, you post your timelines in your signature so we can all share how we are progressing in the process? It will nice.

  8. Thank you Saylin. You've been very helpful in asnwering my confusion about the whole thing. Thank you so much for your help.

Yeheyyy Finally received approval notice via email. It said, the approval notice was mailed on Feb 10, 2011. Thank goodness. It was weird because on I received two emails from USCIS. The first one at 8:40am saying that the case was transferred back to CSC for processing. I was so pissed. But at 12:40pm on the same day, I received another email saying that that case status is under post-decision and the 130 application has been approved and the NOA2 was mailed on Feb 10. I am just so happy now and I can't wait for NVC processing. Thanks VJyaers.

  9. Just want to update that on february 3, 2011, finally got an email notification from USCIS that my father's I-130 form (which I sent on July 17, 2011) has been approved and will now be transfered to NVC. I am expecting for the NOA2 hard copy in the mail soon. I would say it's long overdue but it comes with a relief that finally they had worked on the July cases and hopefully my co-petitioners who are on the same timeline or similar will get theirs, too!

    Goodluck to us!!:-)

Congrats!!! Now off you go for your NVC journey... keep posting update becase we are behind you.

  10. Thanks R&W! Hang in there and you will get your NOA1 and NOA2 too very soon! I think due to New Year and other January holidays there is some delay in sending you your NOA1.

I have DS-230 ready but I need to file my 2010 taxes first to be ready for AOS. I hope I will be ready in 2 weeks or so.

I am very happy that getting NOA2 did not take longer than 5 months. I feel so sorry for those guys who filed back in Aug and Sep 2010 and have not received their approvals yet. I feel somewhat guilty at this point but maybe there is a difference based on the countries - I do not know how these service centers operate...

Anyway, if I were you, I would call USCIS just to make sure they mailed your NOA1 to the right address!

Good luck to you and your parents!

Ok, another week is over. Can someone please tell me they received their NOA2 from TSC? VSC and CSC has been approving August, Sept and October filers this week so please TSC, do something.

  11. I CALLED THEM ABOUT TOW DAYS AGO SHE TOLD ME THEY WORKING ON receipt DATE AUG/16/2010 BUT MY RECEIPT DATE ID AUG/02/2010 SHE TOOK MY EMAIL AND SHE TOLD ME JUIST WAIT 2 WEEKS

Wow so they're working on cases with receipt date of 8/16/10 but there are a couple members here with July receipt date. Hopefully, they already sent their NOA2 then. I hope to receive mine before end of this month.

  12. so it took them one month to enter your information. I have been waiting since December 30 .. so I'm giving them 1 more week.

Yep, it took them too long to update the system I guess because it is a longer process with the longest wait period anyway so it's theire last priority. Anyway, the long wait begins. I am currently waiting for NOA2 for my mother so we can have alternative filing soon.

  13. sis michaillah07 ive seen you just recently took ur interview and exam is it hard? mine will be on the 26th im still reviewing on my civic test. any tips guys by any chance

I had my interview in 2009. It was easy nothing to worry. The questions they asked me were:

    1. How many ammendments does the constitution have?

    2. Name one branch of the government.

    3. What are the two rights only for USC?

    4. Name the US war between the North and the South.

    5. What ocean is on the east coast of the US?

I got all first 5 questions correctly so the officer did not asked for other questions.

Good luck. Just read review all the questions and you should be fine.
