Benefits:
1) Citizens can vote, PRs can't.
2) Easier to travel with a US Passport.
3) GC can be revoked if the PR spends too much time outside the US. Citizenship wont be revoked in such cases.
Cons:
1) Taxes. Citizens will have to pay taxes in the US regardless of where you live & work.
2) Some countries do not allow dual citizenship.
These are the basic pros & cons of citizenship. I am sure there are plenty of others too.

I agree with Rocks. I missed the biometrics appointment for ROC and went a couple of days late. I was still approved around the 50% mark for the same month filers.

First thing you need to do is to file a police report against your ex for opening fraudulent accounts.
Second, call all 3 credit agencies and dispute those accounts. Also ask them to put a freeze on your account so that your ex can not use your information to open more accounts.
Third, file your tax return as single if you have not already done so.

Charles – I don’t know how you are in Mod hierarchy but MOD abusing their power is becoming more and more common on VJ.
There seems to be no action from Captain or anyone else… if this continues believe me you will see ppl dropping out of VJ.
Specially when MOD takes illegal actions against the old members who are done with their own immigration but have stayed on here either they like it or they think they might own something back to VJ.
If these guys start dropping out VJ would not have anyone to post response to queries… these guys are the asset for VJ.

Please remember that being a long term member does not give a person the right to be rude and condescending to new members, nor does it give them the right to violate TOS. It does way more damage to the site than the person dropping out of VJ. If you feel like you have been unfairly targeted by a mod, please take it up with Kathryn or Captain Ewok.

There is a member here called Baron555 who went through a similar (not exact) situation with his Russian wife. You can PM him for advice.
ETA: I believe he petitioned for a K1 for his wife and not a tourist visa.
