HELLO all, kindly pardon my absence, i needed to check out for sanity sake because my anxiety increases as the d-day nears. I wish u all the best and a happy re-union to all of us with our loved ones very soon. talk to u all later.

I am glad it is over now. May it be a fruitful life for you two and may you never regret marrying a Nigerian. I cannot be their with my husband, my work will not allow that, but I will tell him to inform them to feel free to call me. I just cannot wait for it to be over, it is such a difficult thing because it holds the key to everything in the continuity of my life. I am sure a lot of others feel like that too. Plus, they are often very rude to Nigerians because no one has ever complain about them.
I HAVE BEEN IN LAGOS FOR OVER 2 MONTHS AND THEY INTERVIEWED ME, SHE WAS MUCH NICER TO ME THAN SHE WAS TO MY HUSBAND, MUCH LUCK TO YOU, GOD BLESS -
What can we do about it? How can we effect change?
We want the consulate to do their job in protecting the U.S honor, but we do not want them to ruin our lives and make us reach menopause before having a chance to be with the love of our life. I do not think that the consulars understand the gravity of the job that is given to them and the impact that it has on our lives. It can literally make one commit suicide after all the long process that one has endured in this process only to be disappointed at the last minute. I really wish that our voice can be heard in a way that will bring attention to this issue. If there is anyone here that works as a reporter or know someone that work in the media, writing an article about this can be a start.
Really the consulate bully strategy is not efficient otherwise we will not be having a lot of scammers getting through them. I think the reason why there are so many scam complaints is because the genuine applicants are getting denied while the scammers are getting approved. I mean, just imagine the terrorist boy who got his visa from the U.K, he is the perfect example of how they deny well meaning people visas but grants the scammers. Most Nigerian students in U.K can never get visiting visa to the U.S on the basis that they have no ties to U.K but the terrorist can, because he has valuable assets either stolen by his parents from Nigeria government or earned by them, and we all knew what happened. The same goes for the so called scammers, they can tell a very good lie and the embassy will buy it but a faithful person who genuinely forgot his wife's birthday will be denied. It is just a no brainer. The embassy need a lot of native intelligence if they want to stop scammers, decades of the bullying, degrading, and distruptive strategy doesn't appear to stop scammer at all. I do not need to find out all what happened to @enlighten one, the hubby history said it all. Maybe @enlightenone was a victim, I am not totally sure because there were clearly some things she decided not to bother about based on her story.
As I awaits my husband's interview, I am full of tension and fear. I have nothing to hide but so were many others who had their heart broken. For me it is critical, any negative thing can ... I just cannot take it anymore, I have been waiting for over 4 years and I have reached my limit at this time.
-
Congrats, did you attend the interview with your hubby or did the embassy called u in the U.S to interview you? Mine is coming up soon and I am very terrified of that consulate even though I have nothing to hide they just have a way of ruining peoples lives. I am just trying to put all my faith in God now. It is a tough place to go.
THE FIRST INTERVIEW WENT NOT TOO BAD WITH REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL EVIDENCETHE TOTAL OF 23 QUESTIONS WAS ASKED AND WAS WELL ANSWERED.
WE RETURN TO THE EMBASSY WITH THE REQUESTED ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT FOR THE SECOND TIME TODAY AND WITH/AFTER ALL QUESTIONS, ASCERTIONS AND INTIMIDATION GOD WAS SO PREDOMINANT AND PROVES HIMSELF AS SUPREME AND THE VISA WAS APPROVED AFTER INTERVIEW HUBBY AND ME.
WE CAN'T BUT THANK ALL OF YOU GUYS WHO HAS HELPED US IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, WE ARE REALLY GRATEFUL.
WE THANK YOU JESUS AND WE ARE GRATEFUL.....

did u receive any NOA2 in the mail in 2005 when it was approved? it is likely that you have your approved petition at NVC waiting for a VISA number which usually takes over a year. first thing you need to do is to call NVC and determine if your petition is still their. as regards your legal status in the U.S and your approved petition, I hope you find some1 here with the correct answer, perhaps you may be able to adjust status if you interview in the U.S. Some Canadians have posted here before stating that they were able to adjust status after years of overstay (by marrying USCs), I am not sure if the situation only apply to Canadians. Call NVC and determine if your case is still their or if it has been returned to USCIS due to abandonment (this can happen if you miss any of their correspondents and u are unaware of it)
Hi, I am actually a illegal immigrant who is living in US, California for almost 8 years.I filed a I-130 form about 2002 in May, with my sister being a perminant resident in US.
Thats almost 8 years since I sent the I-130 in to the USCIS.
My FIRST question is... Online, I have checked my statues and it had said that I am in the Post-Decision Activity stage.
It had said that: On August 8, 2005, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice. But I did not receive anything for them. I want to know what I can do from now on because this was about 5 years ago.
My SECOND question is that I would like to know the approx. time it will take from Post- decision Activity stage to Document production or Oath Ceremony.
Lastly, (out of all question I think this is my most important question) I came to America legally with a tour visa which expired long ago.
I would like to know if the I-130 case will still work for me.
Thanks!

i guess as much, it is a short cut that has no ramifications at all, but it is up to individual person i think
I was right. They are about 7 business days behind. Mine was mailed on 01/30, Saturday, around 2:30AM EST. The IV bill hasn't been invoiced yet though. Hopefully, will happen in a day or two.Yohino--yours is coming soon!
Folks--so I think it's safe to say that you can email in your DS3032 as soon as your NVC case # is assigned. Might save you valuable days.

did you divorce in Nigeria? If your divorce was in Nigeria then I can understand why this might be an issue.
