  1. Well, I hope what happened to us, doesn't happen to any of you. I filed my I130 for my wife on 02/06/09 and got our NOA1 a week later. Now we got a letter from vermont stating that they need more evidence of our mariage. Nevermind that I sent;

Our Original Mariage certificate from Miami

Our sons original Birth Certificate from Miami.

Our Bank Statement showing comingling of account.

And 2 Notterized Affidavits affirming our mariage.

I sent all of those things and apparently THEY LOST ALL OF IT!!!! The letter I received Yesterday states I should send the above listed items. I ALREADY SENT THEM DAMN IT!!! I'm going to call on monday morning and raise HELL!!

    Hi Bocajr,

If you complete your timeline, I'll add you to our Feb filers spreadsheet.

    Whidbeygirl,

Could you please add me to your spread sheet?

    thank you.

Sorry to hear that Bocajr27. I called VSC today, and the operator told me they are currently working on applications that were filed 6 MONTHS AGO!!! this is :crying: not good.

  3. My wife interview was very short and the office did not ask to see any thing. Here are the questions they asked my wife:

    How did you meet?

    What does he do?

Why did you wait over one year to marry him?

The officer called me and asked me the last and final question

why did you marry this charming lady?

I will post in detail about interview experience upon returning to US.

By the way I bought my tickets for $897 round trip from USA and $629 one way from India.

    Later

Congratulations!!! I wish you, and your wife best of luck.

  4. Hi everyone! I'm new. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

I'm a returned peace corps volunteer that served in Mali. I met my fiance there. And now I'm trying to get him to America. It's only been a week and a half since I last saw him and I'm already going crazy. I don't know how I'll pass the time without him. Anyway, I'll be around since I find this website so addicting. Plus it makes me feel better about the whole situation since we're all in the same boat. I have millions of questions to ask too.

we all welcome you into this forum.

  5. :blush:Congratulations. To everyone who has their Noa2 but can anyone tell me why CSC is getting everyone approved so quickly and VSC is dragging their feet. I have received a few touches on my case but no Noa2. I am happy for everyone who is having a speedy journey but I am a little jealous of CSC. I really would like to spend Christmas here in the states this yr with my wife 90degrees on xmas day is not right

Amen to that!!! i am also hoping my husband and i will be spending our Christmas together. By the grace of GOD.

  6. I just wanted to write a quick 'Thank You' to everyone on here for their wonderful and kind assistance.

After 2 years of struggling to be together, on Monday our case was finally approved in Amsterdam. It was a bit of an anti-climatic end considering all the ups and downs of the USCIS & NVC. The final moment was very quick, pleasant and pain-free :)

My husband will finally join my daughters and I on 18 April and our real journey as a family will begin.

Despite the best immigration lawyers his employer could retain, their experience and knowledge and guidance were a disgrace compared to the wonderful and fantastic advice we received from people here on this site. Having started the journey with lawyers, and finished it without them, I can honestly tell you that the advice & guides from this site are 1000% more helpful than any lawyer, even for the 'not so usual' cases...

So to everyone still on their journey - please keep your faith and use the wonderful help and advice that is available here - it will make the process (slightly) more bearable and the reward of having done it together even more sweet.

    :thumbs::star:

Thank you again for everyone's kind assistance, and all the best of luck.

    :star:

Congratulations. and good luck on your new journey.

  7. Hey folks

Well we have filed our I-130 and recieved our first NOA a few days ago!

So i need to know what happens next???? We have seen so many different versions and horror stories that we simply don't know which way now to turn. At the minute i'm planning to go see my wife with a tourist visa and stay as close to the 90 days as possible....i reckon it will take the sting outta the process......

But we are stuck on this whole K-3/CR1 thing...i mean after I-130 is approved what hapend then????

Any info would be good............and also there is no point filling in my time line at the minute because we just got started

    thanks

    Allan & Kristy

Best thing to do is wait and pray for a quick approval. Try not to get anxious. It will also help if you fill out your timeline, for statistical purpose. I wish you best of luck and welcome!!!

  8. My wife called me today to say that she received the approval letter from USCIS.

We filed our I-130 in Feb 2008.

After being transferred to Cali, FBI checks and add mailing additional evidence we finally got it our petition approved. It was a long wait for us. Just hope that the rest of the journey will be much faster .

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. Just be patient and don't let this process affect you life.

    Congrats!!!

  11. Hello

My fiance is in India . We did engagement last year. Now I am planning to go there for a week precise to get married. What all evidences for bonafied marriage I can show that should be sufficient. WE don't have anything in joint name. Is the certificate from the court enough??

    Thanks

    Sudhir

    Sudhir,

Get 1 or 2 of your family members that knows about your relationship to write an affidavit. :)

  12. I had myself convinced it was Saturday - for about 5 minutes.

I thought the same thing when I woke up and pressed the snooze button. Then it dawned on me :crying: and I pressed the snooze again

  14. hello there!!!!

WHAT DOCUMENTS AND FORMS DO I HAVE TO SEND TO BEGIN THE PROCESS?

IN FORM I 130 QUESTION 21 If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together. SHOULD I CONSIDER MY VACATION TIME AS PART OF LIVING TOGETHER?

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP....

    Hi,

For question 21, i wrote the last time we were together; because we were staying together as husband and wife.

  15. Hi! :star: New here, but in the process of filing K3 for my husband in India.

    Quick question:

We had a very small religious ceremony for marriage certificate purposes earlier this year. We have filed with this certificate. We have very few pictures and nothing with my siblings, his sibling (since they weren't there), or even the traditional picture by the fire.

Later this summer we are going to have the usual grand wedding/reception in India. We will of course have tons of pictures.

My question is what pictures to show in the interview? Do we show the "second" wedding pictures without mentioning the date? Or do we just state the truth, that we waited so everyone could attend and it was planned properly, etc?

    Thanks! :innocent:

You should tell them the truth. The way you just related it to us.
