they implicitly ask for a copy of the documents. you need to do this part and make sure that you have the case number written or printed on every single page of the package, original and photo copy.
For original docs, use a sticky note as not to write on a birth cert. or something like that.
Thanks lgg, I thought I read this correctly, all ready to go, and copy package has NVC case # on every page.
Origianls have post it stickers on it.

I need help! Does anyone here have any idea how long does it take for NVC to close a case? My husband re-submitted the requirements for my Immigrant Visa a month ago and we've been calling NVC hotline for follow-up, but they say it's still for review. Our case is taking so long (it's been more than a year now =( and I know it shouldn't be the case. It's so hard to be away from my husband and our 1 year old son...
Yea it takes 1-2mons.

I dont think you do, just make sure you make photo copies of all the forms and docs you send to NVC.

Forgive me if the answer to this is in the forums. I searched, but couldn't find anything....
I'm preparing our I-864. In 2006, I filed jointly with my ex because our divorce was not final and we still owned assets together. So, the total adjusted income for that year is three times my single income in 2007 & 2008.
Do I put the total income in there for 2006, even though 2/3 of it was my ex-husband's income?
Hey jsutjulie you can use your most recent Tax info (2008). That was what i used. does your income for last year exceed the poverty line?

If I express-mail them a package on Friday or Saturday (Next day delivery), will they get it on the weekend or Monday morning?
Nope, There would be nobody to sign for the package, but the mail man will redeliver it the next bussiness day (Monday). I was in the same situation last week.

Hmm.. I'm wondering where I should send my AOS/IV package to. Should I just UPS it to the 31 blah blah blah, Suite 100 address?
You must send it to where the Cover sheet tells you to. I believe it was 32 Rochester Avenue for me.
Use the address on the NVC coversheet you printed when your AOS bill was paid. ALWAYS use the address on the covrsheeet printed for what ever stage your paying at NVC.Except that doesn't apply in my case because I paid my fees via money order.
Mine hasn't showed up as paid yet, but when it does ill tell you the address it shows on there. Maybe someone else who has received it can help.
Here is where you should send your I-864. this is how my cover sheet looked after my paymnet was processed.

I was able to make payment for the IV bill this past Tuesday night. Which then generated the receipt saying "in process." Wednesday morning I called and spoke to an NVC operator who said the bill had not yet been generated and I told her that's strange because I already paid it. ANYHOW, Wednesday evening I received an email saying that the IV bill is available to be paid (duh...I already knew that). I went in to check it last night and on the main page it says it's "not paid" although the receipt page (the second screen) where the AOS bill says paid, underneath it is the IV bill saying "in process."
I hope that makes sense. Am I okay? I don't have to pay it again....I hope. I thought payment would go through today, that is why I am concerned.

Forgot to tell you, hubster had his medical yesterday, everything went well. He is supposed to call the doctor again on Friday to get the final word, but so far from speaking with the doctor everything seems in order, I am not worried ...
I am slowly starting to pack, picking out outfits to bring with me. I am kinda shallow, like to dress nicely, so I haul loads of clothing with me and then end up wearing just like 2-3 outfits when I go visit him. But the thought of not having multiple outfitting options ...yeah no, it's not for me
That's where my girlyness went! I am lucky if I pack a pair of jeans and a few t-shirts!
