    Hi

just had confirmation that our petitions to Uscis have been approved and forwarded to NVC / Embassy

no recent touches and database does not reflect

    but papers in the mail

we were 55# in the new igor list

and I was watching as petitions of about the same date were being approved

Hope it comes soon for the others waiting

now need to work on next steps....

    Congrats!!!

  2. Hello I just wanted to share that yesterday my hubby recieved approval notices for BOTH the i-130 and the i-129f!!!!!!!!!!! It has been a long wait.........................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my husband called them nearly 2 weeks ago asking why it hasnt been looked into yet which the guy at CSC then said we are going through security checks. My hubby asked for a service request, he never recieved anything until the approval notices yesterday!!!!!!!! I was very worried thinking we would be stuck in security checks for a long time!

Just for everyones else information we never had a touch on the online system - i just checked now and it still says september 4 2008. it also says pending when i put my application number in. We have not recieved any emails saying the approval notice was sent......so it was a very nice surprise!!!!

For all the people who have been waiting longer than me....i am sorry and i do hope you are also approved soon. It is horrible not knowing when it is going to come and you feel so helpless.

Well now on to deciding which way to go....i know everyone says no point in doing k3, but when i look at the i-130 shortcuts it seems so confusing! so many different things to do and im worried my husband is too busy working every day to get each bit done!!! The thing is as me and hubby married in another country not the UK my interview will be in that country and for the i-130 it will be in London. Its not too much of a problem to travel to the other country as i have family there and can stay with them, it seems k3 is simpler.but i realise it is more expensive and have to wait for green card.so we may just go ahead and do i-130

I am going to do some research now but any advice would be great. Would you say it approx takes 4 months from now?? or any ideas??

    Good luck everyone!!

    congrats!!!

  3. Hello Everyone,

Please does anyone knows How can i bring my husband to the states with a non-immigrant visa while he awaits the approval of his form I-130. He is a African (Nigerian) we were just 2 months married.

Hope to hear from you all who can advice and contribute soon as possible because i will be going to Africa Lagos Nigeria by May to stay with him for awhile because me and my kids miss him so much.

    Thank you.

    Kandy Olurin.

since you've applied for the I-130m the consulate in Nigeria will tell him to go wait for I-130 approval. Sorry.

  4. COME ON NAO2 THIS WEEK PLEASE

I am in the same boat as you are  I really wish that VSC was half as fast as CSC is. Also its hard trying to explain to everyone that asks "where is your wife", or when is your wife coming here . :crying:

I am in the same situation as you are.

  5. Hi Everyone,

Our NOA 2 got (finally) Approved!!! on 14Apr'09.

Well, as usual was checking the USCIS site and finally saw some change in the Last Updated Date. Last Updated Date showed 14Apr'09. was pretty excited and was awaiting the Approval email. On 18Apr'09 my Husband recd Hard Copy of the NOA 2 which said that the case was approved on 14Apr'09 and has been sent to NVC. Well even as of today the USCIS site shows Status as 'Case Recieved and Pending'.

Well the letter says - "NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning (beneficiary) concerning further immigrant visa processing steps.". How will NVC contact me? and when do we get the NVC Case No.?

Congrats!!! Best wishes with NVC journey.

  7. For those of you who chimed in, I just wanted to give you a quick update. My wife received her passport/visa this afternoon!!

Exactly two weeks from the interview date. The visa was approved on the 8th and we received it today. I blame the holiday weekend for the delay.

I don't know if they even utilized the co-sponsor info they "requested", at this point I don't care as long as she has her passport. She's set to be with us Sunday

You know how they say everything happens for a reason? Well it must be true for had this not have happened, I wouldn't have meet all of you fantastic people.

Thank you to everyone...may your journey be an interesting one :innocent:

I'll be sure to visit the site frequently...I'm so excited!

    congrats!!!

  9. For those who remeber me my husband and i got approved on April 13th, 2009 and today he got his passport. the interview was a breeze we were only asked general questions and one important one which was how a girl from brooklyn ended up with a guy from DR? other than that it was the generic questions such as when how we met and if we were married before or had kids.

my husband got his passport today and the only strange thing is that on the visa stamp it says IR1 and we tought we were going to get CR1 instead because we still haven't reach our 2 year anniversary. is it common that even though you are CR1 on the stamp says IR1?

    Congrats!!!

  10. my I 130 application was so neatly and completely done, and i checked until the last minute i gave it to usps...they gave the NAO1 pretty fast and i thought that it would have been a good sign but i guess not...im the only one left from feb filers who has not been approved.

Darling, don't worry i am in the same situation. I did everything so neatly. Keep thinking positive thoughts. We will get through this together. God willing maybe we get something before the end of this month.

  11. Hey guys! I'm here to let you know that my visa was approved yesterday at the Rio de Janeiro Embassy. During the interview they asked the basic things such as date of marriage and how we met. They also asked few things about my husband's info in the Affidavit of support and about his family like if he has brothers or sisters and if I know his brother. They asked to see our pictures and they asked what are our plans for the future.

I am the applicant and I was there by myself because my husband, the petitioner, couldn't take the days off to come to Brasil. :(

But everything is fine now and they will send my passport with the visa to my house in a few days. (That's how they do in Brazil)

I'm sooooo happy and thankful to God because I know He was there with me all the time!:D:dance::D

Also, big thanks to everybody in VJ who helped me in this process. Now I'm getting ready for POE!

    congratulations.

  12. Hello VJr's, I need your opinion...

I will be getting married soon, and will be staying with my husband for 2 months in the Dominican Republic before returning home to NJ.

Is that considered "living together" ?

Should I put that in question 21 of form i-130 which states:

    21. If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together. (Include street, city, province, if any, and country):

or is that considered just vacation to USCIS?

Yes!!! that is considered living together. I wrote in the time frame i was with my husband.

  13. Man I called my husband yesterday night and he was asleep and he told me that we got the NOA2 for the 129F !!!!!!

Is it possible to the I129f be approved first than the I130?

I am here crazy, happy :star: I need to wake up cause sometime I think I am dreaming ... I am goin to call him later on jus to check this out again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thnks

    Congrats!!!

  14. Longtime lurker here, this forum has been very helpful in tracking our progress and giving us tips on what to do.

This morning, we finally received our NOA2 notifications (via email) for both the I-130 and I-129F. Our NOA1 for the I-130 was 9/16/08 and the NOA1 for the I-129F was 10/3/08.

I think the lesson from our case was to not hesitate to get people involved. We've emailed both senators in our state and when the I-129F went outside of processing times at the beginning of this month, I called USCIS and adamantly pressed for a service request. After some tense back and forth, we were finally granted one and I have no doubt that the service request is what got our approval.

    On to NVC!

    Congrats!!!

  15. I was coming back home on the train and i just went through my email and there it was, an email from uscis :

  16. Hi guys i was looking through the photocopy of my I-129f and i found out i wrote my husband's date of birth in the wrong format. I wrote 24/06/1981 instead of 06/24/1981. what should i do? Any advise will be appreciated. Thank you.

It is OK. Just do not confuse with British format of date with American format.

Incidentally, the British format for dates (expressed as numerals) is the same as the French one.

Thank you guys for your advice. I feel at ease.

  17. Well, I hope what happened to us, doesn't happen to any of you. I filed my I130 for my wife on 02/06/09 and got our NOA1 a week later. Now we got a letter from vermont stating that they need more evidence of our mariage. Nevermind that I sent;

Our Original Mariage certificate from Miami

Our sons original Birth Certificate from Miami.

Our Bank Statement showing comingling of account.

And 2 Notterized Affidavits affirming our mariage.

I sent all of those things and apparently THEY LOST ALL OF IT!!!! The letter I received Yesterday states I should send the above listed items. I ALREADY SENT THEM DAMN IT!!! I'm going to call on monday morning and raise HELL!!

    Hi Bocajr,

If you complete your timeline, I'll add you to our Feb filers spreadsheet.

    Whidbeygirl,

Could you please add me to your spread sheet?

    thank you.

Sure will. I hadn't added you because your timeline puts you in with the K-3 data. Just know that the estimated dates and thing will be with CR1-IR1 data :)

    Whidbeygirl,

    Thanks.
