They are asking for an I-864a from you...not an I-864.
Omg! I kept thinking but never realized this. Thanks a ton! I will fill out and upload.
On a safe side, I also uploaded the same document on my father-in-law's application and submitted. How can I upload the correct document and delete the wrong document? NVC has not reviewed my AOS for his application yet.
-
Background: My wife (USC) file petitioned for her mom and dad. USCIS approved both applications and now at NVC. My wife submitted her I-864 separate for her parents. Since me and my wife file our taxes jointly, she listed me as "household member" whose income was included as part of AOS.
Latest: NVC approved my father-in-law's (wife's dad) application but my mother-in-law's (wife's mom) application marked as missing document. They asked me to fill-out I-864 and submit AOS as "Household member". I submitted AOS documents including I-864 but they rejected again with the same message as earlier. I am totally clueless what exactly I am doing wrong here and what exactly NVC is asking us to do.
CEAC message text:
<husband's name> Form I-864A is missing. Please add <Deleted>as a Household Member in CEAC and upload all documents under their name. Please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864a to complete this form. FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial sponsors, joint sponsors, and applicants should be aware of responsibilities when signing an I-864 and the consequences for a sponsored immigrant's acceptance of federal means-tested public benefits. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos.
NOTE: Exact same above mentioned message was sent when I did not attach AOS documents for myself earlier and then got the same message after I submitted my I-864 AOS document.
Please help what I am doing wrong here and how can I fix this?
PS: We are making well above financial guideline to sponsor family relative.

let me rephrase my question for a better answer........
can someone point me to the list of documents that the applicant will need to carry at the time of their visa appointment with local US consulate?
-
I submitted I-130 petition for my parents and it's approved and now sitting at NVC.
I posted fees on NVC site and it's processing. I can't start AOS and IV documentation on their site until the payment is fully processed. I've a flight to catch in 48 hours to see my parents and I was thinking to take all document evidence with me so when they will have an interview at the local consulate they will have all documents ready instead of me sending from USA via mail.
Question: Does someone have a list of all evidence documents they had to provide to finish IV and AOS? If so, can you please share the list with me?

I have not seen a thread for July 2022 for filing for a parent and have decided to start one.
My wife became a US citizen on June 23, 2022 and filed I-130 for her mother on July 7, 2022. On July 15, 2022, the status changed to Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS.
No updates yet.
Estimated time until case decision:
6 Months
it says "Estimated"
May filer still waiting here.

Does anybody know how I can see which center my in-laws papers were sent to?
I received their NOA1 and it said it was from Potomac but then I received the invoice nad below it said Texas center.
At the bottom of my receipt notice document, it calls out center name and location. In my case it's Nebraska though I live in Texas.

my wife had her oath earlier this week in Irving office and she was in and out in less than 45 minutes.

Did they reschedule the oath? I was on the same date for oath in the plano event center. Received the cancellation latter before Christmas and no updates since then.
I don't see it rescheduled online. Did you receive any update?

What is her interview date & oath date?
Did she ask for name change. Because name change oaths are done via court whereas regular oaths are done by USCIS.
no name change... oath was on 1/12 and interview done end of November.

My wife attended her interview on 18-Nov in Dallas and was approved the same day.
However, no new on oath ceremony. Today is is 45th day since her interview is completed.
She requests name change. Is anyone in similar situation?
See my post above yours. Oath are being cancelled lately.

My wife had her oath scheduled this month but USCIS cancelled it due to COVID-19 outbreak. Anyone else seeing the same status? Looks like they are halting oath ceremony temporarily.

Interview has been scheduled for January 12. Almost over.
Congrats! When did you had your naturalization interview? My wife had on 11/29 and still shows "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled".

Did your wife ask for name change. If not, oath will be completed within a month after interview. I saw some Dallas filers completed their oath two weeks after interview.
Checked the online status and says it's waiting for an interview to be scheduled. Fingers crossed to get it done in next 30 days.

My wife had her interview earlier this week and was told to wait for oath ceremony letter. Does anyone know what's the wait time to from interview to oath ceremony and which location will it be?

My husband filed November 2019, had his biometrics in December 2019 and USCIS website still says estimated completion date is March 2021. We're hoping to hear something soon about an interview since it seems quite a few who filed around the same time are having their interviews.
My wife was one month after and already setup for an interview end of this month. Good luck.... USCIS is catching up and you could hear anytime from now.

I am on the same boat as you. Applied in Feb 2020 estimated time May 2021. Do you count your time from Application accepted date or biometrics processed date?
Looks like USCIS is catching up..... My wife's application was submitted end of December 2019 and she got her appointment scheduled at the end of this month.

Yes. Provided u filed ur form properly with all needed documents so they dont start asking you for anything extra later
4 hours ago, Amhara said:Yes, the estimates are generally longer than your actual resolution date....unless you fall into the USCIS black hole.
What's an average wait time for Dallas filers (considering you submitted all documents and no issues or RFE in the application)?

Do a walk-in, it’ll be better if she can provide proof of the conflict as well.
Thanks!
On 1/11/2020 at 2:27 AM, Vawaonehi said:Just walk in especially in the afternoon. If they cant allow u they may tell you to come the next day but they allow early walk in. You don't need to show any proof or documents except word of mouth and ur biometric notice. Good luck
Thanks!

Hello,
My wife applied for her naturalization and she got her biometrics appointment scheduled in Dallas location. But due to work related travel conflict, she may not be able to make it. Does this location accept early walk-in? If so, how many days before the appointment date she can go and which extra paperwork she needs to take other than documents listed in appointment letter?

Hello,
I am working on preparing my wife's US Citizenship application and saw that now USCIS offers to submit application online as well as mail submission. Which is a preferred method? If you do online submission, how do you submit all evidence documents? (e.g. copy of green card, marriage certificate, spouse's naturalization certificate/passport, IRS transcripts etc)?
Thanks in advance!
-
We filed in August as well and got RFE last month. We replied with more evidence (one big box with tons of documents and photos) and they approved today.
I would wait until you hear from USCIS requesting for evidence.
Definitely call USCIS and push for the case and on the other side start gathering evidences so you are immediately ready if you receive RFE or Interview.
Good luck!

On April 8, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number XXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
Thanks everyone for your help!
