  1. Hi! I submitted original birth certificate of the beneficiary, photocopy of the biographic page of his passport, original police clearance, original NBI clearance, 2 pcs of 2x2 photo with white background and don't forget to write the case number, name and DOB of the beneficiary at the back of the photos. In addition to that, I made a photocopy of the whole packet and sent it with the documents stated above. Had no problem and our case was completed after a week.

    I would recommend also sending a copy of the affidavit 'coz it's better to give them a lot than for them to ask you for more. The Cenomar will be needed on the interview.

    P.S. I made another photocopy of the whole packet for my own record just in case anything happens to those that I sent. Goodluck!

    hi, thank you so much for the reply! i only wrote my fullname and case number at the back of my photo(based on the instructions). i'll just bring my cenomar on my interview.

    tnx again

  2. My agent sent the DS230 without my documents, and then a letter response stating missing documents and required to submit the ff. checklist:

    -birth certfificate;

    -passport xerox of biographic data; (photo-copy only not the passport itself?)

    -police certificates;

    -photograph (white background)

    Do I need to submit/send also a xerox copy of them all? or just a copy of mine?

    Since my petitioner's lastname and mine has a letter-difference in spelling, I acquired an affidavit of dissinterested persons and affidavit of discrepancy for support (incase they saw the wrong spelling on my b.cert), should I also include them?

    And a Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR), should i send them too?

    Also, here in the Philippines, about police certificates, we have NBI(as specified on the checkist) and police clearance, is it ok to submit those 2 cerficates (nbi/police clearance)?

    Thanks

  3. I am sure you can petition your child later if you wish.

    No offense but it depends on the petition being filed. In a K-1 visa, for example, you must include all children whether they are immigrating or not. If you omit those children on the initial petition (essentially saying that you have no children), then suddenly one magically appears at a later date, it's going to cause problems.

    thank you for the reply guys.

    i'm under F2b category. my agent(as my brother) already paid and received the ds230, which i already downloaded on the internet and filled it up.

    so i must declare at #19 my child? but my brother told me to just include my baby if i will petition my fiance after? kindly confirm? thanks alot

    follow up question..

  5. My Lastname spelled "Taboga" on my b.certificate, so when my mom petitioned me they used that spelling. My mom's family name at my birth certificate is also "Taboga". But her family name spelled "Tabuga" on her filed documents. Now, the filled up DS230 form family name spelled different from my petitioner's. My brother told me to have an affidavit of discrepancy? or an affidavit stating that our family name(though different spelling) is the same? is this acceptable? or are there any other supporting documents should be submitted?

    also, I have a child out of wedlock, but didn't initiated on the form (#19) (not intend to bring her with me, maybe file another petition after?) is this ok?

    thanks
