  1. A few months after i files the I-129F, my fiance in Vietnam gave birth to my baby boy. It has been one month since the baby was born. I already booked an appointment for Consular Report of Birth in 2 months. My fiance going to get a Vietnamese birth certificate for my son. The question is, both of the child parent's name can be on his birth certificate. Should i put mine on there too or i shouldn't? I am thinking it's better to put my name on it. Therefore, on the appointment date, they will see that my name is on the child birth certificate as a father. That will be one of the biggest evidence that i am the father. Which will give me more chances that i don't have to take a DNA test. What do you guys think, please help

    ps. i have other evidence such as pictures of my fiance and i were together before , during and after she was pregnant. Will all of the stuff i've mentioned good enough not to take a DNA test?

    why would you not have your name put on the bc?

    :thumbs::blink:

    that mean i have to be there in person to add my name on my son's BC

    We'll that changes things significantly .... Are you planning on going to Vietnam any time soon? ... Id be checking if you can add your name in at a later date ...

    i will be going to Vietnam in about 2 months for my son's Consular Report of Birth Abroad. I don't know if i could add my name on that day or what. Someone please help

    You have to put ur name on it as the father of the child at the bc..and it doesnt matter even if the baby is looks like U..if u dnt have enough evidence the baby will ended for a DNA testing...or it depends....hopefully not cuz DNA test is so expensive plus waste of time...

    my baby had DNA testing and it cost $754 in AZ..father first in the laboratory in Az then from the lab in Arizona they send the kit to the saint lukes philippines and test my baby and then send the kit back to the AZ,US....

    Goodluck!!

  2. We call the Benefits for the military personnel at this number 1-877-247-4645 and my fiance talk to the guy there and ask about the petition and they said we got approve and wait for the letter...We been waiting for the approval for a while actually 5 months on sept 26 and finally we got approve by the help of them..it havent posted at the USCIS though that we got approve but the guy who my fiance talked to said that wait for it and it get updated soon...goodluck to US and for those who's still waiting on their approval :star:

  3. Have any of you been requested to take a DNA? I am looking for others with that experience. We were asked to take a DNA test to prove that my daughter is his, which she is his and we are almost done. The results should be back at the embassy by early next week. I was just trying to figure out how long it takes for them to issue the visa after that. I hear it takes days but has anyone else bene through this? :unsure:

    DNA Testing... sounds expensive. I heard it ranges from $500-$600 :oops:

    if u do DNA testing at the usem it cost $680...for parent and the baby/child..it is really expensive..

    after DNA testing and if u get the result it takes 10 days or 2 weeks and they r going to send u the passport of the baby/child...or maybe 1 week :thumbs: goodluck!!!!

  5. I hear you on the frustration part...specially when you see others that have their NOA 1's later but received their NOA 2 already. No touches yet on mine and it's been 4 months too now ^^;;

    We are losing hope about this petition..we applied it agust and got NOA 1 august 28,2008 but it says that we need to pay more cuz the filling fee change...took care of it and got email from CRIS that the corrected payment is sept 26...really frustrating but what else we can do??ofcourse wait...and wait...got touch this january 29,2009 and now still waiting when they are going to approve us...really sad and getting really depressed.....we saw some october that already approve...why is that??sometimes i was like ITS REALLY UNFAIR but thats USCIS who is approving visa's....and i thought if we have alwayer we dnt need to wait for sooooo many months but i guess we r wrong..sometimes lawyer is really a pain in the as$....useless to have a lawyer...sorry about what i wrote just really sad about the whole situation... :blink:

  6. We got approved on Feb. 6!!!! I just got the email now!!! I was expecting another month or so to wait. Thank God!!!! I'm not much of a poster here but I have read very much. Thank you for all the good information!!

  9. Well i've been looking at hotels most of today and almost 3am here. I found one called baywatch tower but their home page looked crappy and I figure if they can't pay for a nice page then they probably aren't too great. I also checked out Bayview Park Hotel and it looks really nice for the price but I read somewhere that the people working there can be thugs so im worried about security now. I just came across this place called Tropicana Apartment Hotel that pretty much seems perfect so far. I am staying for 2 maybe 3 weeks and so i'm trying to find something with decent prices that is safe. I'm also looking for a place that has a pool and possibly a small kitchen. I would like a jacuzzi in the room but that might be a little too expensive. So any of you have tips for me on where to stay? Maybe you stayed at some of the places I mentioned?

    Check this site...all the hotels in malate.. address and contact numbers in there..goodluck

    http://www.clickthecity.com/hotel/results....=18&htype=1

  10. Is Malate close to St. Luke? What hotel in Malate is cheap? Im going there tomorrow and still dont know if which hotel im going to stay :) any quick reply is very much highly appreciated. Thank you.

    yes..it is close in saint.lukes...saint lukes address is 1177 J. Bocobo St.,Ermita manila....or u can ask anybody there in that place where is saint lukes they all know that place or ask the vendors there...or u can call this number 632-521-0020

    Goodluck

  11. If u r planning to visit ur gf in Philippines U can apply a fiance visa here in Philippines just go to the US embassy in manila ..in roxas boulevard....i think it would be easier I saw a lot of petitioner and their FIANCEE/FIANCE there applying i-129 F when i applied for the naturalization and US passport for my lil one...i think it would be alot easier and fastest way...or call the US embassy here in philippines to ask what papers r needed to applied...they r very nice

    too :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

    or call this number 63-2-301-2000

    Goodluck :dance::dance:

    You should apply for your fiancee only after you have met her first that way you can have evidence like photos. Also unless things have changed in the last couple of years. I thought you can only apply for fiancee here in the US not at the Embassy because your petition has to go to your local USCIS according to where you live to start the approval process.

    Really??/i have friends here they applied k1 but havent met yet in person when they apply the k1...the guy only visit his lady last feb 14,2008 but the guy stay only for 5 days cuz has emergency back home..they dnt have pictures together...they got approve july 5..so i dnt think that u cant apply k1 visa if u havent met ur fiance/fiancee in person :innocent::innocent:

    Go to US embassy here in Philippines and see for Ur self......or if ur here in phil go visit the USembassy here..go to american services :star::star:
