  1. Send it thru FEDEX..my husband always sending me stuff to philippines before..Like vonage router,cp and baby stuff...its only 5 days to get in philippine :)

    Dear fellow group members,

I am trying to get a very small laptop to my wife in the Philippines. Basically, her PC died shortly after I left, it is not repairable. This comes as no surprise, it was acting up for a while.

We have a very young son - he will be one year old in April - and he and I really need to interact over the webcam and voice. I was there for the past six months, until about 3 weeks ago.

I know I could send her money for a laptop there, but they are overpriced, and not very good, for the money. I've priced them quite recently there. Money is also really tight for me right now. :-(

This laptop will be tiny - most likely a netbook - and will weight about 3 pounds.

I can arrange to have someone meet you in Manila, Cebu, or Leyte (my wife and child are in Eastern Samar, but we have family all over).

I am in Northern California at the moment, but I could ship the laptop to anywhere in the states.

If anyone is going to the Philippines in the next month or even two, and could do this, it would be greatly appreciated. I could return the favor at some point, or even manage to give you a bit of cash at this point. Alternately, if you need any advice or information about various places in the Philippines, recommendations of places to stay in different areas, etc., perhaps I could help. I also can build desktop computer systems, and could barter my labor in doing so for you. I am open to other suggestions as well.

    Sincerely,

    Jonathan Rhein

  4. Hi Cathy,

My daughter went through CRBA too.

Ako lang nag-attend sa interview coz my fiancee( husband now) is here in the US that time.Don't worry about not getting approval if ur fiancee is not at the interview.

Btw,in-include din nmin sa K1 ang anak ko as a K2.But like the other said,ur child father is a USC so pagdating mo sa K1 interview mo,sasabihin pa din ng consul sayo na ayusin mo CRBA nya bago i-release visa mo.

So what we did is,hindi muna ako nagpa-sched ng interview date ko.Inuna muna nmin ang CRBA.I ordered the forms through calling ACS-FedEx.Then my fiancee was in the Philippines that time so he just brought it with him pagbalik nya dito sa US.He filled it up and notarized.Got all the required documents that was in the check list and sent it to me.Ako nman prepare ko yung iba like my prenatal records, pictures together, our daughter's pics from birth to the time we applied and etc., Then called ACS-FedEx for picked up then after 1 day ACS called me for interview date.

Me and my daughter went there at USEM.She was approved. No DNA,No additional documents.

Tip ko lang sayo is to give them everything in the list.Especially proof ng relationship nyo from the day na nag-met kayo till now and his 5yrs.Physical presence in the US like his tax returns,W2,etc.

Good luck.If you have a question, just PM me or send me message to my YM bluemist20002001.

me and bluemist r willing to answer all ur questions.just Pm us or message us thru yahoo...goodluck!!!

  5. If you're speaking strictly about a straightforward AOS case, you're right. If you're recommending never hiring any attorney for any part of the process, how can you say that it would never be advisable or necessary? Use of an attorney can be a tool in the arsenal, for use when needed.

NEver ever hire an attorney JUST FOR AN AOS application..they asked too much money....ofcourse I know that some people need an attorney for some cases :bonk::whistle:

  6. Do we really need an attorney to go to the AOS interview? his fee is $3500 and he says he will go with us to the interview. We have already filled out all the forms using visajourney guide. My wife thinks we should hire an attorney eventhough we have a straight forward case. Any suggestions guys?

NO need and Never ever hire any attorney it is easy and i think its faster if u do it by ur own...Goodluck

  12. hi.. im new here in this site... i just want to ask something regarding my interview and medical. Yesterday, I checked my case status at the us embassy manila site. I found out that i have this appointment date at St. Lukes last october 8, 2009. its already October 10, 2009 today and Im just wondering because i completed the medical check up already got my CD chestradiograph (x-ray) and vaccination report last august 27, 2009 and have scheduled my interview at the us embassy on October 15, 2009 but then i just happened to look at it yesterday at the site to check if my interview date was already there (online checking at the us embassy site). I saw my interview date but i was very confused when i saw that i have this st lukes medical appointment as well dated OCTOBER 8, 2009. i was very confused because 1st. My medical examination was already done and 2nd if that appointment at lukes is dated Oct 8, 2009 and then it is October 9 yesterday it means i failed to go to that appointment. My question is Do i really have to attend to that appointment date at st lukes before my upcoming interview at the embassy on October 15 even the medical exam was done already? ple help...
