  1. Hey y'all..... I am composing a letter to my Congressman and could use some help crafting, editing.... here is the link... all critics welcome :)

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3245611

Looks good Richard. It never hurts to get your name & case out there a bit more. Hopefully they'll actually look at it and not just push it aside like so many others.

It won't be long though! I think what is really frustrating (and what I tried to ignore) was seeing so many April filers get approved. Not just a few, but the majority seem to be April now, and have been or a week or two. This is what I don't understand, though I don't know if we can really ever understand how USCIS works.

It will happen, you will be approved. Hang in there just a bit longer!

  2. I don't understand what happened to yours anyway. You were MILES ahead of me on the lists. I know we speculate a lot on how it works up there but could it really be as simple as the luck of the draw? I got someone on the ball and ya'll didn't? That is so random and unfair!

I really see it as someone gets a box... someone else gets another... the approvals and RFEs are very close together and dated close as well... but, you're right... who knows

I think that's exactly how it works. Unfortunately, April seems to be getting most of the attention right now...Or those with April "boxes" are just more "efficient", however you want to look at it.

I can't see it being much longer for either of you though! The process sucks, but they WILL approve you all. Let's have a good week ahead for our March Family!

162 Days for my Approval. You guys are right there (Arabella is past it now!  )

    It's coming

  3. I'm back home again, now - so no bootie hanging out the window!

I had as good a visit, thanks for asking.

Here's what I did - let my folks see me so they can know I came back from my Denmark hospital adventure in one piece; had dinner with my youngest son who has just started culinary school. My oldest graduated from culinary school 5 years ago and I guess the baby is following him! I had dinner with my beautiful daughter TWO times; had a teriffic sushi lunch with my middle sister and my baby sister came for dinner last night; I cooked for my folks yesterday so my dad won't have to cook so much this coming week AND managed to go see Inglorious Basterds with Maggie last night. WHEW! Do I know how to pack a lot into 2 days or what???

Wow...you need to teach me about time management! You sure did get a lot done, and sounds like you had a good time too :star:

Or is this all in preparation for when "he" arrives and you drop off the map for awhile because of the "HUNKY PUNKY"!?! I knew it... :jest: :jest:

  4. I'm back in Jackson, glad to be home. Now that I have had a touch on Sunday and got the email that my case is active again - I am IMPATIENT!!! I feel like I am on fire right now, ready to "git r dun" and move on!! APRIL NEEDS TO JUST HOLD ON A DANG MINUTE!!! Our March asses are still hanging out there in the wind!

Okay - rant over with, back to coping mode!

Are you mooning Jackson while you're driving down the highway?:jest::blink: Stick that bootie back in the car!

Did you have a good visit with your folks?

  5. Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while - been pretty crazy. I've started to add a comment or two, but I feel almost guilty since we got our NOA2 and so many others are waiting. Crazy to feel that way, I know. Nevertheless....

Just an update on us and how post-NOA2 has been so far. NVC got our paperwork last Monday and sent it to the embassy on Tuesday (8/18). I waited to call until 8/19 and it was already through. Calling NVC was painless except the number was busy a lot so it took a while to get through. Once connected, very fast and efficient. They gave me the Case Number assigned (see below) but I also got a copy in the mail from NVC on Saturday with that information.

I've tracked what I believe is our package from NVC using the link http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef I entered "EXP 18 AUG 2009A" as the reference and chose dates to/from of 8/17 and 8/19. It's documented elsewhere on how to do this, but if you need any assistance, send me a PM and I'd be happy to assist. Anyway, it looks like the package is in Manila now, but hasn't been signed for at the embassy.

Amy has her medical tomorrow. For Manila, it's first-come, first-serve. So all she needed was the print of the NOA2 notification email and the Case Number assigned by NVC (not the EAC number from VSC), along with passport photos.

We hope everyone from March gets approved soonest. My sprinklers are on right now and my pom-poms are out. Hang in there and let me know if I can be of any help. And be ready - as others have said, things happen fast once this step is done.

So glad to hear from you Stan! It's been a little while, hasn't it? :P Yep it sure does seem like things are going quickly for you now. We're all hoping that Amy won't have any issues with her Medical and no delays will follow! You'll be together so soon! Amazing the difference of waiting for the NOA2 and just a short while after...it's barely comparable.

Also, I received the Approval Notice this morning both in my email and updated on the USCIS Website.

So looks like that touch was an approval then! One weird thing was when I checked the USCIS site after I received the email this morning I was "touched" again today. Wonder what they're doing :jest: :jest:

The VSC *is* working. If you haven't had any news or touches yet it's coming!

  6. Yes for the most part. They could have forgotten about this place or who knows what could have happened. Most of the people who got approved in Feb. didn't get a touch before they were approved. VSC does seem to be picking up some steam and getting the approvals going. I know it sucks to hear this, but yours is coming too and it will be here soon.

I think that's very true for quite a few that have started a timeline and haven't updated it. Perhaps they just stopped visiting (and the timeline no longer reflects their status). I try to take a look at the older list (Berkeley's) and check the updated dates to track activity. If it wasn't updated at all following their initial creation of the timeline, they probably aren't around anymore.

Though right now it doesn't seem to matter where you are in the list, as people are getting approved all over the place. It's like a false sense of hope haha! You move up the list, but then your 'old' number gets approved

It won't be much longer though

  7. I posted my theory in the feb thread... I believe it is political.. with the fiscal year end coming up in Sept.

Yeah, you may be onto something there. It sure is keeping the "majority" pleased while those left behind are simply the "exception" to the rule.

Stay positive, we'll all hear something soon. I only got that touch on the 21st after what...25%+ of April was approved? Still have no idea if it's an approval, RFE, or just a "touch" either. Annoying :diablo: :diablo: :diablo::jest:

  8. Morning all, it's Friday! Let's end the week on a high note and see some approvals in here ok!?!

ciaooooooooooooooooo...hi to all my family.i am here up so late still getting ready for my SO coming in this evening........hoping they let him in,,,,,,,and reading all that i;ve missed on here.......why are they approving april and not MARCH!!! omg,,,,,,VSC is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying...I am thinking about all of you even if i havent been in here much....will be back to tell you if he got through..........ciaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo and good luck for everyone

  9. I don't have enough stuff in my signature. I'm off to add some things so I can catch up!

Pfft, I like your boat/lighthouse combo timeline thingy ;) *turns off lighthouse* *watches boat crash* :jest: :jest:

So fun to play with you missy!

I laughed about turning off the lighthouse and crashing the boat! I'm thinking of adding some glitter to my signature, maybe some fluffy kitty pics and possibly a baby pic of me....what do ya'll think? Oh...wait, also a pic of my 18 year old dog that won't die!

Baby pics!?! No turning back now!
