    You would also need a secondary proof of Birth..like your SSC marksheet and its copy...a list of the documents required are on the Mumbai US consulate website...for CR1 its Packet 4.....hope this helps...the packet 3 list is identical to Packet 4.

    NVC email receipt

    When I log onto the NVC page to see the receipts for the AOS and IV fee bill there is an option to email the receipts. When I have it emailed it tells me the following and sends a PDF attachment with the receipt. Should I be concerned that it says "PRINCIPAL APPLICANT NOT FOUND" or is this just the system not having the database to associate the email with the applicant?

    Passport address error

    My Wife just got her new passport with her Married name on it. The problem is, they did the address wrong and left out one word. It should have the flat number, building, complex, city, state and country but they left off the building name.

    We are concerned that this may affect the process and raise red flags and are debating whether she should go through the process again. It took about two months to get the passport and we hate to delay things by that much more.

    What is the consensus here, will they be concerned that the building name is missing from the passport although it is on every other piece of documentation we have?

    Hi guys! I have some good news for you...

    WE'RE APPROVED!!!!!!!!! :dance: :dance: :dancing:

    I called my husband and he told me that our NOA2 hard copy arrived in the mail today.

    So I'm pretty sure I'm one with those approval from last week. He forget to told me when was the date we we're approved but I believe it was before this week ends.

    I'm sooo happy! My time being together with hubby is pretty soon....

    I'm just hoping that we'll sail smooth in NVC.

    To those waiting for the approval, just hang on there.

    GOD IS SO GREAT!! He answered my prayers!

    We like to add our joy, we got our NOA1 in post this weedend, my husband informed.

    Approved 1/22!!!!!!!! My wish came true, before the weekend aprpoval yay!

    I'll be at NVC for a LONG TIME, we want our interview to happen at the beginning of next year but its great to know we could have it scheduled sooner if we wanted to.

    When we send or post a reply, why does our timeline not display, like we can see other peoples timeline in different colour etc, we cannot see our on our post.

    I am assembling the I-130 package and was wondering about a few things.

    Do I write on the cover letter that the petition is for the I-130 to obtain a CR1 Visa? No you dont need to.

    The I-129 example form shows similar wording to that.

    Should I write our names across the top of each form and document included? No u dont have to.

    What is the best way to send photographs? you can put passport photos inside the clear Zip lock bag .

    I don't want to just put them in there loose.

    Thanks for the quick reply, I should have specified that the photos I am referring to are the proof of a bonafied marriage photos. Wedding, honeymoon, friends, etc.

    Hi,

    I'm a K3 too and my lawyer said exactly the same thing. I'm still waitting for my approval. She said i just need to take the proof of a bona fide marriage at the interview. I think you can relax and...wait. It's not a easy time. But we are goig to get there!!!
