  1. I (petitioner) filed my I-129F in early Oct. Rec'd NOA1 a week or so later. Just trying to figure out what my fiancee should be doing while we wait for NOA2, etc. Wat specific requirements are there for Philippine fiancees? I mean the barangay, police certs, passport, cedula, etc. Is there anything she can get done now while we wait? She lives on Mindanao - not far from Butuan, which is where she'll most likely get most of the requirements. Any help would be appreciated.

She can get an authenticated Birth Certificate from NSO ,NBI clearance, and her Cenomar or certificate of No Marriage from NSo..these are the most important documents she needs to get while waiting for NOA 2. I am from Surigao city which is 2 hrs. from Butuan city.

  2. I was wondering if it is possible for your online status not to change, but for you to receive an interview letter? Has this happened to anyone before?

    Thanks for you help!

It is very possible. When i sent my I-751 in July 2009 my status online never changed. It even says this case is not available. Was just surprised when i received my approval letter in the mail 3 days ago.

  3. Just done medical at st lukes a week ago....i have a question on how can we able to know if we pass for the medical!!! i only did it for two days... in first day, i did all, physical assestment and others, on second day o got a 4 shots and the chest x ray result...do i pass???? or not???

If St. Lukes got ur passport then there is a good chance you passed dahil i forward nila passport mo sa USEM and will be given to u during ur interview and don mo din malalaman.

  4. Hello fellow vj members,

Just wanna share the good news to you all that today I got a letter from USCIS telling me that the removal of my

condition which i filed last July 6, 2009 was approved with NO RFE.

Thank you all so much to all of you here who helped me so much in this journey. Rest assure that I will still be here to help whatever I can.

Good luck to all those who are also waiting for their approvals.

INdeed God is really good all the time.

    Congratulations!

    Was this CSC or VSC?

    It was Vermont.

  5. Hello fellow members,

Just wanna say a million "THANKS" to all of you here who have helped me in my journey. After almost 5 monts i received a letter from USCIS today saying that my Removal of condition i filed last July 6, 2009 was approved( without interview and No RFE).

Indeed God is Great ALL the time. Good luck to those who are waiting for their approvals.

Thank you, thank you all soooooooooooooooooooooo much.

    Grats!!!

However, if you're basing God's greatness on the physical rewards you receiving, then I doubt he is great all the time due to the fact that millions of innocent people die every year in vain in this world.

Just pointing out a flaw in your statement.

No matter what others say I still believe that God is Great ALL the time..for without him I won't exist.

Ignorance is bliss as they say. Whatever floats your boat.

Your profile says nothing so i guess you don't exist but Oh well...whatever!

  8. Hello fellow members,

Here I am begging for ur help again . The RFE Notice we received is Final Certified Copy of An ANnullment Decree.

My question is I can not provide this decree since i was not married,,Can i just go ahead send them an original copy

of my Certificate of No Marriage?

    Thank you very much.

Regular photocopy of said original or certified document. Do not send the USCIS the original, it is not required and if you do you will never get it back

SO you mean a photo copy of the original documents i have will do? I can send the original since i can get another authenticated copy from the NSO.

    Thank u sooo much.

  9. It sounds like you've got the answer already but for those reading this - when responding to an RFE - the RFE notice itself will indicate where to send it to and how to address the envelope.

Also the RFE notice should indicate that they want the original RFE notice sent back (it is usually color paper) so do this but keep a copy for your records. :star:

Thank you and am glad u mentioned about the sending of the RFE notice that i was confused too coz it says send this notice with the documents asked and the back side of the notice says send a copy of the front page of this notice. But I will send the original notice.

  10. Hello fellow Vj members,

As i have mentioned in my last post I already got the approval of my I-751 after 4 months.

Now we are still working on the RFE's for the I-130 we filed for my 2 kids in the Philippines.

What USCIS need from us are Legible Final Certified Copy of documents .I don't know where to get this?my questions are:

    1. What does it mean final certified copy? Can i not just send a scanned copy of the original document?

2.Where can i have the documents certified? Can i just send the original document to the USCIS?

    I would appreciate any ideas.

A certified copy of a document is an official copy provided by the recordholder with the appropriate marks. For example, a certified copy of your birth certificate would come from the government agency in charge of keeping birth records. It is not something you can do. A scanned copy of the original that you make is not a certified copy.

I would never send an original to USCIS unless it is asked for. Send certified copies because documents can end up being lost. You do not want USCIS, the NVC, or the US embassy/consulate losing your originals.

Thank you for your answer. But do i have to have these documents certified from the Philippines? Can i not just send the original copies since i can get another copies of this documents like Birth Certificate from NSO?

We are running out of time to do it if i have to get it from the Philippines? is it ok that I will just send the original ones instead?

    pls..help.

  11. Hello fellow vj members,

    2. RFE Notice is from

    PO Box 10590

  14. My husband is currently working on his resume. We have the typical content, education and work history, but has anyone included their immigration status on the resume or cover letter?

His status in pending AOS (which should hopefully be approved soon). Should he indicate somewhere that he has a valid work authorization card? My worries are that his resume will get tossed aside when they see he is not a US citizen or a permanent resident yet. Would it be better to not mention anything at all and present the facts at an interview or present the facts in the resume?

Companies hire you no matter what your citizenship is provided you are legally allowed to work here in the US.

  15. Not sure how to buy plane tickets for my Filipina when the time comes.

Normally when I buy a ticket, I just print it out, they want to see the credit card at the airport, and I don't know if I can get her a credit card without a social security # and send it to her.

And if she goes to a travel agent, it might cost more, I can get a better deal on the internet

So what do I do, What do you do with your girl, my girl is really poor, she has no credit cards or anything

My husband bought me a ticket online and did not even have the credit card or SSN. ALl i did was show the eticket to the airport and i was good to go with no problems at all.

  16. I'm just wondering how most the people on here met their lovers initially...over the internet or in person? I ask because I wonder the number of couples the consulate deals with that met over the internet as oppossed to meeting in person initially. I met mine on a dating site and then we met in person. It makes me wonder at times if the consulate sees couples that meet online at first as more of a red flag than not. I don't see why they would, granted that I'd expect most of them met online.

I have almost a hundreed filipina friends who are married to foreigners and like me they also met their husbands online. I meet him online but not a dating site.We been chatting for over 3 years everyday before he came to the Philippines to meet me in person. Our relationship with God's blessing is going stronger ever and lovelier with our 16 month old baby boy.

    2. and how long the process takes?

    3. Is there a way to have the process expidited? My friend is from Bukidnon and can you recommend a good lawyer for this?

Thank you very much for your reply.
