I was out in the Trafford Centre last night (big shopping mall in Manchester, UK) having drinks with friends when we saw a couple...he was at least 65 & she was easily 20 years old! She was from the far east..

To say they didnt attract a lot of attention is an understatement! She was all over him.

What I'm trying to say is...I believe in whatever makes you happy! ...y'know, just go for it & be happy! BUT I couldn't help but think..this guy is being taken for a mug! She can't possibly find him attractive!! ..Seriously though I've read lots on her about age differences & I can believe that yeh 10, 20 years is believable but 40 years???? Nahhhh

well, since she is usc already, u will have to go to the us embassy in india and filledout the passport application with her birth certificate .

Did u reprt her birth to the US Embassy , when she was born?

Congrats on her arrival. Have a read of the guide for people adjusting from K1 visa's. You will not be contacted by you local service center, it is up to you to file for the next step at the correct time.

Once you are married and you have a copy of your marriage certificate you can then file for AOS and EAD and AP. All is explained in the guide.

Use this time to read the forms and start filling them in so you can file as soon as posible after you are married.

Yesterday I called up the NVC and was told that although my I-1864 form still hadn't been filled out correctly, they were going to go ahead and complete my case! I just have to take a properly filled out form to my interview!

ok, now on to my question. my husband received the NOA2 on Feb 26th. and i was just wondering about the 'NVC journey'. on average, how long does this process last until you get the interview date appointed? ive been trying to figure it out by looking at the timelines but its kinda confusing. in some cases it lasts 3 months, some others 7 months and for others its only a matter of days. maybe it is a dumb question...if it is, im sorry thank you.

It could take a feww weeks to several months at NVC for Ds,3032, Ds 230 and I-864. All depends whether u will have RFE/AP or not.After the case is completed, it also depends on the capacity of that the embassy could hold interview that months.

some could get right away in sme month, some takes more than 5 months.

just Have patience and gather all documents u'll need for NVC.

Hi all, i'm new here. I am getting ready to start the immigration process for my Lebanese husband. It looks excrutiating. My question is about I-130.

Question 14 is asking if I am a permanent resident alien. I am not, I am USC. However this is the story. I was born and raised in Europe. I got married to an USC, and I became USC through naturalization in 1997. My marriage to the USC lasted 17 years and died of natural causes ( the marriage not the husband )).

Questin 14b " Did you gain permanent resident status through marriage to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident ?" So should my answer be yes or no ? I'm confused.

I'm just looking into all this visa stuff. I've met my (soon to be) fiancee, who lives in mexico. She was denied a visitor visa, but otherwise nothing else should be an issue, no arrests or visa problems before.

My question is this...is there a benefit to using a laywer? I see their fees range from $300 to $3000. Do they make things go any faster?

Hi to All......Thank you Lord that our interview was over.... Well i need your opinion if we(me and daughter) are approved.....The consul told me that all my documents or papers are okey but our medical was still not there. The releasing gave me white slip with check on passport and medical.....I asked the consul if we are approved and she told me that "all your papers are okey will just wait for your medical". Im just confused coz i took my medical last feb 18-19 and st. lukes told me that it was picked up feb. 20.. And i called embassy and told me that maybe its now in embassy but they still not able to input it in on their system. I faxed the immigrant section to check on my medical coz im worried that it might got lost......Do you think we are approved? And our medical was not lost? Pls. i nedd your prayers and opinion......thanks a lot

I have an emergency here, because we are trying to send our AOS next week but missing one essential element. Has anyone met a doctor that was able to fill out the medical paperwork for the vaccinations without any evidence of the medicals being done overseas. My husband handed all information (yes even his vaccination record) at the POE and now he has no proof of vaccination. Any doctors that were used that just went by the faith of the word?

NO DRs will do that for u. Either he ger -re-medical exam or contact the hospital that did his medical exam in nigeria to ffd to u.

I recieved that, via email, that was from the letter the list i provided. I just get confused cause on the web interview prep, it says to bring all the documents i already submitted to the NVC that they then forwarded to the consulate. This process as you all know has been just so nerve racking we just want to be done with it.....

But the Embassy already have all our CR-1s.

Okay so here is our story. We checked off we have our medical b/c we were goign to get in a week before in Joburg and we thought there wasn't a doctor in Cape Town so guess what there is. So now we have no medical and an interview date for Mon 9th. I called yesterday and they said call them after the medical, now they send an email that says we have a date. WHAT DO I DO??? I AM SICK and have no one to talk to. I feel like this is my fault, what are the chances they'll reschedule him?

And in the interview letter the only wrong this is, it doesnt say that the police record was original(and it was). Will this be a problem??

I received the hard copy of our RFE today. Its a simple request that I can mail back tomorrow.

They provided an envelope with a different PO Box number than where my K-1 petition was sent (and the envelope says "ATTN: RFE").

My question is whether I should send it certified mail, return receipt requested.

The last thing I want is to mail it back and have it get lost obvioulsy.

I guess I answered my own question - But any comments would be appreciated.

If it make u feel better, make two copies of those RFE send them separately.
