  1. Hi, I have to send the I-751 package in 2 weeks and I am a little confused to whom the check should be made payable to: on the USCIS website it is clearly stated that the check s/b made payable to "US Department of Homeland Security" - apparently some people rec'd a letter that the payee information is incorrect - this is a fraction of the letter that I found in one of the posts:

"NOTE: Since the reorganization of the INS into three new agencies under the Department of Homeland Security, there has been confusion regarding who remittances should be made payable to. To ensure proper processing of future applications, please make check payable and/or money orders payable to "Department of Homeland Security" or "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services."

Does this make any sense to you guys?

    Thank you.

    2. Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security

  2. Hello all,

For all whose case is complete, did you guys include copies of original documents (such as Marriage certificate, Birth Certificate, PCCs) in the package along with originals? A friend of mine went through this process last year and he had included copies of following:

    1. Passport’s Biographic Data Page of the Beneficiary (so basically two copies in package)

    2. Birth Certificate of the Beneficiary

    3. Marriage Certificate of the Beneficiary and the Petitioner

    4. Police Certificates of the Beneficiary

    Thanks for your help.

Make the copies and get them Certified. Then send the Certified ones.

  3. Hello

This is regarding 3 questions I have on this form

    32. Do You Intend to work in the U.S?

should i check yes and write down, After I obtain my EAD.

    33. Do You Intend to Study in the U.S?

My fiancee will be going to school but she is not yet accepted, should i check yes and write down name and location?

    32. great answer.

33.yes, but no need to write down name and location unless it ask.

  4. I've been reading that consulate officers want to see not only me calling and initiating conversations w/ my fiancee, but apparently they also want to see her doing the same with me. Here is the problem:

1.) I can't prove that she has called me on my cell (the only phone I have).

2.) I can't prove that she has sent me text messages.

Why you ask? According to my cellular provider, I can only obtain this information with a subpoena due to "privacy laws". Now I've heard everything. :bonk:

    Who's ur provider? mine isT-mobile.

What you can do is you could register ur # on line with ur service provider.

Then you could see ur calls, received calls, send and received text messaes for past 11months.

  8. Hi everyone, I have a concern regarding my medical exam schedule. I wonder who sets the schedule. I read the article about Medical Examination on the USEM website but it did not mention about setting the medical exam appoinment. I have my visa interview set on April 21, 2009 at 8:30 but am not sure when to go for my medical exam. Shall I wait for an appoinment letter for it from the USEM, or I can just go to Saint Luke's at least a week before my interview?

Your advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks so much

    .

you r the one who makes an appointment.

get medical exam, sooner the better.

    YOu cant Cancel her Greencaed.

Sorry that u git screwed but nothing u can do now.

    Divorce n Move on

  10. Since most of the documentation for our marriage is in Spanish, and they require translation, is there an official translation service I have to use? How does that work? Can i just translate the documents myself and send in both copies?

What i recommend u do is to use tranlation service. That way there will be no mistakes made.

After that may abt 3-4 copies and have them get CERTIFIED .

coz u'll need them in the future.

  11. The NVC has done same to me. Right after I sent all DS-230 with the documents.

I ended up just sending part 1 of Ds-230.

they had asked me to send the MArriage certificate / Birth certificate of my wife also.

I had to email and send mail ask them to double check.

Now I guess , it became mormal for them to asking u same documents twice.

To others, if u have sent it already and they ask u for same one again, Then CALL and Tell the operator

and Also Write and send email.

  12.

    Hi guys!

    I need your help...

My husband sent me the affidavit of support from my father-in-law attached there is his certificate of employment from social security, bank account but not income taxx return or w-2?I read in a lot of forums that they need an income tax return or w-2 in the interview. What is the difference between them? im confused are they both required in the interview.

My father-in-law has many assets do I need to get a copy ownership title of all his assets stated in his affidavit?

    Please help me.....

    Tell ur HUSBAND,

All ur father has to do is call the IRS to send him the TAX transcrite for 2005,2006, 2007. If it is mailed it takes less than 6 working days.

IF he has FAx machine by him side , it would be fax to him within 10 minutes of his call.

TAX transcript and certificate of employment letter is what the NVC want. NO need to have headache over making copies of the asset documents.

  13. We had our interview, everything looks wonderful, the only problem is that I lost my Argentinean ID (which I need to get my police certificate) I have been waiting for 1 year and noe they say it can take more than 17 months.....iM SO SHOCKED! Have no words....no tears either.

IS THERE ANY INTERNATIONAL LAW PROTECTING CITIZENS FROM LIVING WITHOUT DECENT IDENTIFICATION FOR SO LONG????? Are they kidding?

Thats UNHEARD oF for any CITIZEN OF its OWn country..

    It's really UnBELIEVABLE...

MAy be it MAtters Who you know .. or the little money like Bribe for the work they are suppose to doing..

ASk the Supervisor "IS THERE ANY WAY at all, to get ur ID CARD FAster , and ask him what he would do if it were him to speed up the Process?"

    GOOD LUCK

Most of the time, Money Talks, Bullsh*T Flies, especially with the slow n lazy processing agency.
