  1. Great news!!! good for you! You must been so happy!:dance::dance:

Hi Everyone! (if you guys still there)

I'm Done! No more 26 Federal Plaza for a while

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On May 7, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

  2. Congratulations maxy925. You may be the last one who posts to let us know. I updated the spreadsheet and there are a few that probably have received their GC but are still out celebrating and have not posted the good news. Enjoy your 18 month break from USCIS.

I wish I was one of them, but no. I'm still waiting...and waiting....and waitiiiiiiing...

I've been so silent because going back to work after 18months, caring for 2 toddlers, and not having support AT ALL has been very overwhelming to say the least. I'm not sure how long I'll end up staying in the US if you know what I mean, but I'm doing my best....

For all of you who couldn't be happier, I'm so very happy for you! :D(L)

For those of you who have it hard like me....hang in there and what does not kill you will make you stronger!!!! :star::star:

  3. hello all! I'm so happy to see everyone moving along.. that's great! as I posted a little earlier, my case was just sent to CSC. Although i find it's late in the process, I'm still happy it was transferred considering not 1 but 2 RFEs!!

Well I just wanted to post a note to say that I got a job!!!! The same phone interview that went really well a while ago! I'm so excited!!! Although I have to take a paycut, I'm really grateful that I'm able to work in my field (social work) so early after moving to the States.

For all you non-US-citizens out there looking for work, keep looking, there's a job with your name on it out there....you just don't know it yet!!! And don't forget that we might have to start at the bottom, but i believe will make our way to the top fairly quickly!

    Good luck!!

  4. AP arrived today! AP approval notice came yesterday!

It will be a nice souveneir I guess! Hopefully GC arrives soon!

Merry Christmas everyone! Looks like we might be snowed in for Xmas eve services! So many closures/cancellations!

I'm soooooooooooo jealous!!!! our AP was apporved the same day, and I wanted mine in hand today so I could go home for Christmas....no AP for me today....we'll see Saturday, my last hope.

I called the border see if it was possible to still travel since it was approved in my file...The guy said "Nope!" Didn't even wish me happy holidays....HOW RUDE!!!! lolol

    I'm a bit sad, but hey....what can I do.... :crying::crying:

    Happy Holidays......

  5. Hello all!

Congradulations on all the approvals!!! That's great!!! Let's keep them coming!!

As for me, after a few days of being depressed because of the immigration stuff, after my step-daugther, my 2 daughters, my mother-in-law, and myself being sick from stomach flu (yerk!), we recovered and had a little get together at a freind's house last night and what do I have in my inbox upon my return????

APPROVAL NOTICE FOR AP AND CARD PRODUCTION FOR EAD!!!! YYYYEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!! Now I just hope that I will get the actual AP document before Christmas so I can go HOME for the Holidays!!!! :):) We shall see!

    :dance::dance::dance::dance:

  6. Congrats on all the new approvals!!:dance::dance:

I just got a touch on my AOS!!! Still nothing for EAD and AP since October....

I just hope and pray it's not another RFE...there's a saying in French that goes :"Jamais deux sans trois!" (Nerver two without three...doesn't make much sense in English! LOL I know there's an expression for it, but I can't think about it right now) I'm not trying to break any RFE record! LOL

Good luck to all of us!

  7. Hi Guys. Congrats Karen on the approval. My husband got his work card in mail on Sat, but the middle initial in his name is wrong!!! UHHHHH. How long do you think this will take to correct? What a pain.

Also - why is the EAD only valid for a year?

    Thanks

Savaleta: My understanding is that a EAD is only necessary when one does not have a GC Therefore USCIS figures that a year is a reasonable time frame to get the GC. Correcting a document is always a pain...good luck with that!

Glad to see more approvals. they touched my AOS today...i really hope that things move for me this week!

  8. WOW!!!! A GC already! That's grrrrreat!!! lol Congrats Mrs M!

There's also a lot of movement for others. I'm so happy to see that!

USCIS should receive my reply of the second RFE tomorrow at the latest...is it to optomistic to wish for movement on my EAD and AP before Friday??? :) I apply to several jobs yesterday and hoping to go home for the Holidays...hope that my wish will be granted!

    Happy continuation to all!

  9. ruby- Sorry to hear about your second RFE :( Hopefully it won't slow down things too much.

Another touch on 485 after being transferred....makes me wonder the inner workings of the black hole we call CSC.... Is it sitting in crate somewhere? put in storage by accident? or on someone's to do list?

Anyways, hoping to see my EAD approval soon.....no touches since day after biometrics :(

Thanks minnew. Actually I sent it back this morning. Nothing major: Last RFE I sent a W2 and was supposed to send !)$)form. So I did that now....hope it's the last time I see a RFE pleeeeeease!

Hope you get your EAD soon too! stay positive!

  10. Hi all! Got my 2nd RFE today...still about joint sponsor. Last time they asked about tax info and ctizenship proof. I sent W2 for 2008 and copy of citizenship certificate. Unfortunately, what they wanted was the 1040 for tax info...DAMMMIT!!!

It'll be in the mail Monday, but I'm sad because I do think now that it stops EAD and AP as well: it's written on the notice....that means I might not be able to visit my family for the holidays...:(

Good luck with all your processes!

    Hi Ruby,

I am sorry to hear that.. I got the second RFE too, but it's still on the way..May I ask whether the second RFE for you is on your AOS or EAD? Coz first RFE I got was on AOS which was asking 1040 tax form, but my second RFE is on EAD..

    Hello GCrunner,

Both of my RFE's were for the joint sponsor's I-864 for my AOS but BOTH stated that my EAD would be on hold until the AOS situation is resolved. I didn't receive anything special for the EAD. Good luck!

  11. Hi all! Got my 2nd RFE today...still about joint sponsor. Last time they asked about tax info and ctizenship proof. I sent W2 for 2008 and copy of citizenship certificate. Unfortunately, what they wanted was the 1040 for tax info...DAMMMIT!!!

Good luck with all your processes!

  12. What is wrong now?????? Another RFE for my I485....No touches since my Bio appoint, and now this....it's sooooo depressing...oh well, I will just have to wait again to see what it is. I wish they would give more info by e-mail so we can start getting ready.

Still nothing on my EAD and AP...I guess a RFE DOES block everything. That's just my luck...oh well, c'est la vie!

I'm still happy for all of you who see their cases going forward...that's great! :)

  13. Hello all,

I did my BIO today. As everyone says, very quick and easy, but u gotta love technology! ha ha I'm hoping to see movement soon...

jokalu: i haven't sent an I693 either and I'm not worried about a RFE. I read in other forums that many people didn't send it and got their GC just the same. Plus, I wouldn't worry if I were yousince you EAD has already been approved. If it's like here in Canada, you need to show medical report to get a work permt. Therefore, I assume that they considered whatever medical info you provided to them. That's just my opinion, but I hope it helps!

  14. Hello all I hope that all is well in your lives.

Just a little update about us:

    - My 2 daugthers and I moved August 16th to finally live together under one roof. My babies don't have to be away from their daddy anymore! yay!

    - Dex and I got married on August 21st at the courthouse and had a cookout at my brother-in-law's house. We are now in the middle of organizing the church wedding and reception....I can't say that it's all fun...lol

    - As for the AOS, you can see in my signature. The RFE wasn't a big thing. Hopefully they'll start working of my file again soooon!

    Take care everybody!

  15. Hey Greg good luck on your Biometric appointment today!!!! Let us know how it goes...

Thanks Djohn. We're off to Honolulu this morning. Spending the day there shopping, eating, touring around. Taking advantage of the opportunity. B)

Good luck to everyone today. Hopefully more bio letters and approvals today after yesterdays holiday.

Have a great flight! I hope it goes smooth :)

    Thanks Rebecca.

We just returned home from a full day.

Here's our biometrics experience. We drove directly to the ASC from the airport and got there at 8:20AM. Our appointment was at 3PM, but we hoped to get it over with early. No problem. Just one family of 4 was there before us. They asked for the bio appt letter and ID (passport). There was one page of information to fill out: name, address, phone, SSN, A#, application numbers, parents first names, and height and weight (??). Waited a bit and then was called for the fingerprints and photo. The stamped the bio letter and returned it and the passport. On the way out we asked if they allow walk ins. They said they would take you anytime as long as you have an appointment letter.

To our suprise and shock, at 4PM we received 2 messages on the mobile phone from USCIS:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

    Current Status: Card production ordered

Application Type: I131 , APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

    Current Status: Approval notice sent

    :wow:

Less than 8 hours after biometrics we had EAD and AP approval! We were not even home yet. We are so happy.

It does make me wonder about the variations in approval times we have been seeing. I wonder if the approval trigger for EAD and AP are done locally.

@ Desi4ever, congrats on your walk in bio today.

@ savalenta, Djohn, good luck on your bio tomorrow.

To everyone else, we hope you get your appointments and approvals soon.

WOW that's great!!!!!!! Congrats!! I didn't know it could happen so fast! You give us hope!!!

    Happy continuation!

  16. Hello all. I finally received my RFE letter today. I didn't put copies of our joint sponsor's tax information and proof of citizenship. ouf! Easy stuff. It'll be in the mail tomorrow!!!

Good luck with everybody's RFE. Hope it's as easy as mine!

PS. I think that for stats purposes, my RFE date should be today since I couldn't do anyting about it before now. What you all think?
