  1. The I-693 in the sealed envelope from the civil surgeon should be submitted when you submit the AOS paperwork. Not at the interview.

I-693 is a requirement for AOS. If you receive an RFE because you did not submit it together with other papers, then, you have to mail it to USCIS. BUT, if you did not receive RFE and you have an interview,as per as listed in the interview notice, you have to bring the sealed envelope of I-693 to your interview. I handed mine to the CO during my AOS interview. I was asked about it.

  2. In my experience, Filipinas have four ways of expressing offense at some thing you said, or did, that embarrassed her. The first is tampo. She shuts down, doesen't say anything more than she has to, and appears withdrawn. If that doesn't work, then she will strike you. Not hard enough to hurt, just something to get your attention, nothing a tough guy like you shouldn't be able to handle. Third is the tears. Not outright crying, she will problably hide her face, but the tears will be real enough. The fourth way of expressing offense you don't want to know, and things are pretty much over at that point.

What I am trying to say here, is either you are not paying attention to what your wife is trying to tell you, and you totally fvcked up, or you stepped into something you don't want to have anything to do with. Perhaps some counseling at this point would be advised. She is probably Catholic, so both of you go see your local parish priest, and see what happens. Other than that, the Filipinos respect age, so an elderly Filipino might be able to intervene, and give you both some advise.

By striking her back, you fvcked up dude! It will take a lifetime to get her trust back, if she don't leave you at the first opportunity. Filipinas don't get mad, they get even.

    I agree Mr. Bill :thumbs::thumbs:

  3. Hi I just called one of the civil surgeons here in NY and they are asking me to do all the blood works again like HIV, tb, STD. But I told them that I already had it on the Philippines and that what I need right now is for them to transfer my vaccine but they said if I can give them a proof or show them the results that I had before they would transfer the vaccinations without the test. But how can I show it to them? Im from the Philippines and they never gave me the results except the DS-3025 for my vaccine because Im sure my medical is still with the USCIS? Im confuse now. SHould I undergo the tests again? or should I look for another civil surgeon?

I was told to do the same thing when I went to one of the civil surgeons here. Read the intructions on how to complete the I-693 at the USCIS website. Basically, you don't have to undergo the medical test again but instead you need to complete your vaccination record. Try calling other civil surgeon or try Dr. Arnold or Dr. Topigh here in Las Vegas.

  4. I should say avoid hitting her back or you will be liable to any violence when situation get worst. A real "filipina" doesn't do this kind of action. But because of different factors affecting individual growth, one could turn a real Filipina to a sadistic one. These factors are environmental and biological or hereditary. It could be the type of family upbringing, type of friends she has, or it could be psychological one; emotional type of person, secretive, violent, or whatever. If you love her, you should be patient with her attitude and try to win her heart so that she can open what she thinks and feels. Deal it with LOVE not with ANGER. For Love brings love and hatred brings hatred. Hope you can get it through... ;)

  5. Base on the informations I have read above, it seems that your husband don't fully understand about marriage. If he wants to keep your marriage then he should cooperate with you. It appears that he doesn't care if you will be deported to the Philippines. He is a complete jerk, I should say! Im sorry to hear about your situation but I hope you guyz could talk about this and/or talk with your counselor. It's very unfair in your part. You might want to talk to his family about your problem. They might can help you. Hope you'll be alright.

  6. try going to other branch of your bank then present her passport and your marriage license. I did not have problem with my bank with regards to this. DMV is a jerk though! I also experienced being refused to take driver's test because I didn't have yet my EAD. I am not sure what they are looking for the State ID though. It seems that immigration process and DMV are not in a rhythm. One should correct such disagreement!!!

  7. The USCIS site has a news regarding this, which is also being discussed all over the forums. They're currently changing the system/equipment that makes the cards and thus they're saying all card production is currently delayed for aproximately 8 weeks.

During my GC interview beginning of June (Atlanta Field Office), the CIS Officer mentioned they had been informed of huge production delays of the green cards. He said the delay could be up to five-six months (!). I assume this is worst worst case scenario, but if this is true, then it could take longer than the 8 weeks CIS mentions on its website.

Oh boy! five to six months is terrible!

When was the equiptment's replacement or repair started? I hope they pass a memo among all other institutions about this delay because some of them will not accept a passport stamp nor the welcome letter.

  9. i usually use hat here and of course still getting more sun..huhuhu...i'm kinda ashame to use my umbrella ella ella..ohhh...ohhh..ella..hahhahahha ...My personal umbrella from PI is in my drawer..haven't use it since i arrive. But i was surprisingly amazed coz my husband's bday gift for me was a parasol...wahahha...I am not sure if i can use it...lol

  10. You need to go to a USCIS designated civil surgeon in your area and have your vaccination record be transcribed to the form I-693. You don't need to undergo another medical exam. Just complete your vaccination record.

here's the link to find civil surgeon in your area.

    https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV

Be aware that most private civil surgeons charge more than those who are only serving for immigration purposes.

  11. There's actually creamsilk here in vegas at seafood city. you can ask ur friends to ship it to u or whatever. Hmmmm...if u can't do it then, give her l'oreal products. it works better than creamsilk.

  12. I was wondering about the delayed too but the interviewing officer told me and my hubby that the card production will last up to 3 months so, he stamped my passport and he told us that I should be fine with the stamp and I can even use it for employment and travel. After that, I applied for my licensure in our state since they required permanent residency. The bad thing was, they won't accept the passport stamp..so rediculous! They told us that we have to wait for the welcome letter or the GC for the basis! So stupid! Now, which is more important, the 1yr residency stamp or the welcome letter which only states "welcome to america"? But anyways, I already received the welcome letter and have applied for my licensure at the school district. Im just wondering why there is so much delayed for card production. My AOS was approved May 19th.

If there's much delay, I hope they will grant us 10yrs residency! I will not mind for the delays then if i get this! who knows?

    Hey,

agree with you. I still check the mail everyday, but deep inside I really would love for the delay to get me a 10yr GC. :-)

    yeah yeah! Let's think positive...hahaha

  13. it will be my birthday tomorrow and i wish i'll get red ribbon cake from my husband... There's red ribbon here in vegas. i like the chocolate marjolaine...anybody here likes that too? hehehe
